WorstUsernameEver
Some German preview of Arcania: http://www.gamestar.de/index.cfm?pid=1589&pk=14191 It's looking surprisingly solid. Granted, it doesn't look like Gothic, but maybe it still will turn out to be an interesting game for me. I hope, at least.
mkreku
Some German preview of Two Worlds 2: http://www.gamestar.de/index.cfm?pid=1589&pk=14181 Looking very good so far. HoonDing
I like how Two Worlds 2 looks much better than Arcania, it's much less the generic fantasy world. Also, the main hero looks much less oafy, which is a big plus. Bethesda could learn a lot of Reality Pump for future Elder Scrolls titles. One can only wonder what devs like Reality Pump & Piranha Bytes (even Radon Labs) would accomplish with Bethesda/BioWare budgets... Edited June 19, 2010 by virumor The ending of the words is ALMSIVI. mkreku
Two more Arcania videos, this time from Gametrailers: Part one: http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-...a-gothic/700809 Part two: http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-...a-gothic/700807 Uh.. I don't know what to say.. I mean, I know the quest markers are toggle-able but still.. exclamation marks on molerats? Who thought that was a good idea, even for the worst ADHD cases of the Halo generation? Otherwise it looks great. Graphically very solid and the world streaming seems to work without a hitch. Mostly. Seems like a solid action rpg with a sandbox world but again.. same problem as always. It doesn't really look like Gothic. Neither the gameplay nor the art style, not to mention the WoW-like exclamation points. I may end up playing it, though certainly not on release. EDIT : Nice to see a demo not done with god mode for once. The combat looks to be challenging enough, which is pretty nice, and was one of my fears. Do it now if you love strategy games. Ah, marketing. They will announce it even if it doesn't reach 25k, 25k will just get it announced quicker. Fortunate, as I loathe facebook every bit as much as I enjoyed CK.

Tigranes
*shrug* since Paradox actually fulfills their promises to their customers, I don't see what's so bad about this. And about making it anyway - I'd have second thoughts about making a game that couldn't even get 25k hits on facebook. The Arcania vids seem to show the same opening area they showed a while ago, continues to look pretty good to me, they better not renege on the promise about turning off quest-markers and the like. It just looks a lot like Gothic 3 but without the stunlock... we'll have to see about the C&C. Zoraptor
Crusader Kings was awesome cheese. Best 15 USD I spent in 2008. Mind you I only ever played it with Deus Vult and a latish patch number. Nothing wrong with facebook based publicity despite my dislike for the site, I just find Paradox's marketing rather... quaint and a touch... cute. I tend to end up wondering how EA would market Paradox games, and come to the conclusion it probably would not be with John Riccitiello playing heavy metal in a trailer or having bets with his devs over whether a game would make a profit. Nepenthe
Dragon Age DLC Leliana's Song interview and trailer. This is getting ridiculous. I think it was established beforehand that DAO would be getting a lot of this kind of stuff. Now that the effects on the main story are minimal, it's basically a question of deciding whether you want to pay for loosely connected episodic content. I don't think it's ridiculous, far from it, but I think it's pretty obvious they aren't even targeting everybody with this. I mean, personally, I'm probably going to pick this one up, but most of similar spinoffs for the other characters would definitely stay unbought. You're a cheery wee bugger, Nep. Have I ever said that? Reapercussions
Oner
At least it has a plot and a minimal connection to the main story, unlike, say, a weapon collection DLC.
