smitty1984 Posted April 30, 2010 Author Posted April 30, 2010 Suave ninja! I probably won't kill everyone. But we'll see......... I always plan on playing a murderous type but end up pure sugar. Oh and romance every chick I can get my suave ninja hands on. I have a hard time playing evil as well i couldnt do it in kotor ill try and play evil in alpha protocol in my third or fourth playthrough. It's probably because you think "yeah, I'll try evil this time" and then as you play most games, the "evil" choices are usually really psychotic stupid choices rather then evil so you end up not using them....... i think if you play evil you usually end up with cooler stuff and more money.
Thorton_AP Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 I think pistols and assault rifles for weapons, with technical aptitude for my guy. Professional too! :D
The Jackalope Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 Every variation I can think of. lol. Gonna play this one a lot.
jokerwoker Posted May 6, 2010 Posted May 6, 2010 I plan to play as throughly as possible, the same way one plays with a thousand dollar hooker: all night long. Because she is worth it. Actually, *chuckles* the more expensive a hooker is, the less likely her clientele is interested in having sex with her. So, for a high-class hooker, if they want less work, jack up the price! :lol:lol I didn't believe this was true until I read about it.

Apparently, it's the whole Hetaera / Geisha / Firefly Companion style of thing at that level... It's about the whole soothing, relaxing, stress free companionship and conversation.... Not so much the sex.. Which is why so many of those "high class escort" types are usually incredibly smart, learned, and empathic. But that's sufficient derailement I guess. Ah, but notice the change in word usage? Big difference between hooker and escort, at least in my opinion.

Exactly! If they go as 'gray' as they can with choices then I'd rather a mix of 'evil' & 'good' and make my own bad ass. Old games like KOTOR 2 for example had some crazy bad guy choices that were somewhere around 'Kick the women with no legs' and then all of a sudden you're more dark side. Hopefully the fine line between good and evil will make it more emersive. I thought DA:O did a good job of that actually. (crosses fingers for AP)

(crosses fingers for AP) Star Wars is a very manicheist setting though, I can't actually see a Star Wars game going grayer than Kotor II, thuogh I'm not a Star Wars fan (I mostly ignore the 'Expanded Universe' thing) so maybe I'm not the most qualified to comment.

This. I'm still waiting for a game where you can set up Xanatos Gambits or the like. Baeus Posted May 8, 2010 Posted May 8, 2010 Going to make myself a tank of a Thorton. All my points pumped into Shotguns, Toughness and Martial Arts. Just keep moving forward and blasting through everything in my path, always picking the aggressive options in dialogue.
Tigranes Posted May 8, 2010 Posted May 8, 2010 In other words, Extreme Shepard? Let's Play: Icewind Dale Ironman (Complete) Let's Play: Icewind Dale II Ironman (Complete) Let's Play: Divinity II (Complete) Let's Play: Baldur's Gate Trilogy Ironman - BG1 (Complete) Let's Play: Baldur's Gate Trilogy Ironman - BG2 (In Progress)
Baeus Posted May 8, 2010 Posted May 8, 2010 Except with less glowy face mutilation. Which nobody seems to notice.
InvaderSnarf Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 (edited) I plan on being this guy... Total douche. Crude. Super tool. Somehow awesome at what he does. Seems to never die. Gets the girls he wants. Can't seem keep the secret of him being a secret agent. Luckiest SoB alive. Always wears a $900 dollar slightly darker then black turtle neck, because armor is for people that want to get shot. Is sad when he isn't buzzed from a drink. Loud and obnoxious. Even more bad ass then the three JB's. (James Bond, Jason Bourne, Jack Bauer) No joke, that is how I want to play this game. flyingpancake Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 iam planning on being some covert op guy with night googles, black stealt suit and an silenced assault rifle.
Oner Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 (edited) After the 1UP video and reading the Tech Expert fluff in the GT preview, I started to fancy the idea of a smartass-with-everyone, spies-get-all-the-ladies-and-I'm-a-spy, insufferable genius adrenaline junkie James Bond wannabe engineer of awesomeexpert technician. With a shotgun and baseball cap of course. I'd say the answer to that question is kind of like the answer to "who's the sucker in this poker game?"* *If you can't tell, it's you.
Baeus Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 What is that Super Tool picture from? I have to check it out now

Alvin Nelson Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 I think that everyone should be the "super tool" in our game at least once. It's pretty freaking funny. Me, i like to play a bit of stealth, with my AR and Pistol, and put some points into Martial Arts so that i'm pretty rounded. Also, I always want to be Brayko's friend, no matter what play style I am going with. Let me get back to sleeping. I'm tired... Avatar made by Jorian Drake
Thorton_AP Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 I thought I was going for a kind of Jason Bourne build. Turns out I am going for an Alvin Nelson build! Brayko is TBD though
