This seems to be awesome. What is this?

That, my friend, is the awesomeness that is 2000AD. The galaxy's greatest comic.

Yes, the conspiracy has been successful and now it won't go away. Not untill we get so fed up we puke at the mere mention. Like Teenage Ninja Mutant Turtles, Crockodile Dundee, Episode One for a more recent example.

Those are great examples of things that are awesome.

You thought episode one was fab ?.

I mean, too much face time with child actors, Jar Jar Binks, the Amidala-Skywalker romance. It had it's moments, but come on they were far in between.

Honestly, Episode One isn't even the worst Star Wars film, let alone worth 'puking at'.

If you have strong opinions and don't want to compromise them, and don't suggar-coat your opninions about what doesn't work either, I suppose that makes you a snob.

Are you implying that's what you do, then?

No, not really. Raiders of the Lost Ark is just as good as it always was, so I can always go back to that.

Plus, maybe it's because I didn't grow up with Star Wars and have no nostalgic ties to it, but until Clone Wars came along I still thought Return of the Jedi was the worst of the bunch.

EDIT: Although I am not saying Episode One is great. It's only okay. Passable entertainment once or twice.

I knew you would go after episode one Gorgon

It's funny that you put entire IP's as your first two pukefests, TMNT and Crocodile Dundee, but then you only go after one movie for the Star Wars universe.

Did you know there is an entire generation that grew up with Episode 1 being their first introduction to the Star Wars universe? Are they somehow inferior because they grew up at a different time?

Well, the best in anything are all snobs to some degree.

What, exactly, are you the best in? You've taken it as some personal quest to poop on everything popular. Is there some sort of benefit to that snobbery that I'm missing out on? Please let me know.

It has been my consistant observation that popular mostly sucks, this is because you can't please everyone, and because you have to sacrifice too much in trying to do so.

In my observation, unpopular stuff mostly sucks as well, as it is unpopular for good reason.

Approximately 80% of everything sucks.

How many times have you listened to an album and concluded that there were only 3 or 4 tracks that you liked.

Not very often, but I only buy albums from a few artists I really like.

Plus I pay $5 a month to have unlimited music on Napster.

I have a feeling that we are talking about the new Episode One and not the "real" episode one (shows my age)?

Didn't get to see Avatar on the big screen, but who knows, it might be worth picking up when it appears on blu-ray/dvd.

It's still playing, so you could still go if you want.

I guess you could say we're talking about the one that has "Episode One" in the title. One of the pointless yet entertaining enough to fill in a couple hours prequels.

I saw Avatar 3D on Saturday and wow, I was blown away. Granted, I dont think Ive seen a 3D movie since Jaws 3 in 3D so there was a lot of room to be amazed but I was shocked and amazed by how good the visuals were. Gone were the cheesy cardboard 3D glasses, to be replaced with a sturdy pair of plastic ones, kinda like the cheap sunglasses you would get at Walmart. It was so seamless, so perfectly integrated, that I dont think it would be the same movie in mundane 2D. The story was fine and what would normally be a taxing 2h 40m flew right by. And I couldnt believe it but the theater was still packed.

I've seen it in both and I can guarantee it is. Sure, 3D adds a bit (and is cool), but it's not what is making this movie so awesome, IMHO.

Yep, I've noticed this too. Seen it three times now and it manages the flow so damn well that you're never going "I'm bored, get a move on, uhg another hour left".

and you gotta feel sorry for the main dude's first dragon thingy - he fully ditches it for a bigger better model

I thought the exact same thing. All the big set up about how special the bond, how they choose you...then...aww, the poor little thing, cast aside! >_<

And...Dundee is one of the best light romantic-comedies. The sequels not so much, but the 1st one was awesome-sauce.
