HoonDing Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 German is too grand & epic a language for space opera fluff, really. It fits dark heroic fantasy the best. Dragon Age will probably be 'the bomb' in German. The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.

Dragon Age will probably be 'the bomb' in German. I play the English version whenever I can. But I tried ME this time in German, just for the lulz. Saren sound like one hell of a mother-Fritzl. Rain makes everything better.
kingofsquid Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 Got to Paris in Deus Ex. Heck, I even met Morpheus and that might just be the most interesting conversation I've had so far. Isn't Morpheus the Greek Minor god of dreams?

I enjoy playing multilanguage games myself. I have one of BG&E... French/Dutch/Italian/German/Spanish. The voice acting is actually pretty damn fine in all versions. The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.

Isn't Morpheus the Greek Minor god of dreams? No, he's the black guy in the Matrix movies. "Alright, I've been thinking. When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade - make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don't want your damn lemons, what am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life's manager. Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons. Do you know who I am? I'm the man who's gonna burn your house down! With the lemons. I'm going to to get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!"

Purkake Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 You can't expect me to remember every single secondary character in DX.
Oner Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 But of course I can, since I posted about him just before you. Giveaway list: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1DgyQFpOJvyNASt8A12ipyV_iwpLXg_yltGG5mffvSwo/edit?usp=sharing What is glass but tortured sand?Never forget! '12.01.13.

alanschu Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 Trying to get HAM 3.5 to work with JA2 1.13 I have been hearing about JA2 for almost a month in this forum, and I still have no idea WHAT THE HECK JA2 STANDS FOR AND WHAT KIND OF GAME IT IS!!!!!!!!!! Pleasehelpme..... Jagged Alliance 2. It's a turn based strategy game focused on squad level combat. And it's freaking awesome!
Purkake Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 And it will probably work on his super-old PC. Wins all around!
alanschu Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 The game was released in 1999, so I would hope so! I ran it on a Duron 650 Mhz IIRC

kingofsquid Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 Well, as long as it takes up under 3 gigs of memory and is cheap (I'm guessing it's on Steam?), I'll try to get it. BTW what is Steam, anyway?
Purkake Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 (edited) You'll want the Good Old Games version for the mods and DRM-less-ness. Steam is an online content delivery system. Edited September 19, 2009 by Purkake
kingofsquid Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 DRM? Well, dad won't let me mod (apparently never heard of Anti-Virus Software), so what's DRM? And Steam?
Purkake Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 I said what Steam was in the last post. DRM is digital rights management, about which you can read further on Wikipedia. Since you probably still have dial-up, just get a retail copy. It should be dirt cheap these days.
kingofsquid Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 I think you edited it while I was typing my post. Where would I get a copy, Until it was mentioned here, I never even heard of Jagged Alliance 2.
Purkake Posted September 19, 2009 Posted September 19, 2009 From a store of some sort that sells video games?
