theslug
There could be squids, giant man eating ones too if you like. And I'd rather not share becuase I likely wouldn't be able to articulate the simplistic awesomeness of it and it will just wind up sounding horrible and then I'll realize its horrible and then I'll resent all of you for my own failings. Just let me have my brief moment before it eventually fades into mediocrity. I'm not going to class tonight. It's a decision that I've wrestled with for the last 10 minutes or so but I arrived at the conclusion after weighing the possibilities and it quickly became painfully clear that whether I'm at class or at home playing video games the end result will be roughly the same; I will have gleaned no lasting knowledge of the tax accounting system. Also I am incredibly tired, so tired in fact that I almost took a nap. I don't think I've taken a nap in a good number of years and could probably count my cumulative life's napping occurrences on one hand. I'll probably just watch House, play a game or two of HoN, take some nyquil and then slip away into the sweet embrace of sleep. Then tomorrow I will be rested and likely break my super special ultra promise to study what I missed (as well as catch up) and instead do absolutely nothing all day. Life isn't good but it should be. There was a time when I questioned the ability for the schizoid to ever experience genuine happiness, at the very least for a prolonged segment of time. I am no closer to finding the answer, however, it has become apparent that contentment is certainly a realizable goal. I find these results to be adequate, if not pleasing. Unfortunately, connection is another subject entirely. When one has sufficiently examined the mind and their emotional constructs, connection can be easily imitated. More data must be gleaned and further collated before a sufficient judgment can be reached.
theslug
Tonight I had a odd workout with a friend. I hadn't seen him in about two months and considering he's the only friend I have left I thought it might be a good idea to text him out of the blue. I decided it was important that we do squats, even though he's kind of new to lifting. His first set was horrible but the second was actually pretty good, however, that's when it happened. He sort of ambled off to the side and just stopped moving. Apparently the exercise was so intense it completely locked his legs up to the point where he couldn't even walk anymore. In all my experience I had never heard of cramping that bad so fast, I thought he might have torn like both his hamstrings or something, so I was pretty worried. In the end he was fine but it was still like 10 minutes of sitting before he was cool again. The fool still wants to go on Friday even after I told him that I do squats every workout. I also studied for the latest chapter in my tax class today but as I expected it was pretty worthless. I'm basically going to review everything all over again this week however I actually have a substantial and real motivation to do so this time. I emailed this really cute girl in class and she gave me her number and were going to set up a study session coming up so now I actually have to get a real handle on this stuff before I go in and try to not look like a retard. I think she might be interested too. The way in which I screw this up could be spectacular, though more likely I'll just be my normal boring, emotionally empty and completely aloof self. You'd be surprised at what kind of track record I have. In ever more irrelevant news, I may finally have the ability to grow a full fledged beard. I don't really have an interest in growing one but for the longest time I had this stubborn patch underneath my chin. Not so anymore, I think I've become a man now Wals. LadyCrimson
Today I decided that the absurdity of the tech parts of crime solving in CSI:NY (and other CSI & crime shows) grows with leaps and bounds every season. It's so bad I can longer watch without viewing it as comedy. Also...what is it about aging that could turn completely straight/flat hair into semi-frizzy wavy hair, gradually, over 20+ years? My hair...it's so bizarre. “Things are as they are. mkreku
I stopped watching any CSI when they introduced malnourished models in skimpy outfits and full make-up as crime detectives. They're trying sooo hard to look serious and intellectual, but can barely pronounce the most common terms right. Ridiculous. It's a bit annoying because I remember the first season of the regular CSI to be quite good. Swedes, go to: Spel2, for the latest game reviews in swedish! LadyCrimson
I really liked the first few years of CSI:Vegas. It become sillier as time went on, but still liked it. But Grissom/Warrick leaving made it "meh." I can handle the sexpots/studs as CSI/cops, that's nothing new...it's the graphic-novel worthy-duper crime fighting lab equipment/methods they use to process their evidence. Ludicrous. “Things are as they are. Gfted1
Yeah, I especially like the holographic database that not only includes the entire sum of human knowledge but is also controlable via a virtual keyboard in the air. Walsingham
I stopped watching when they had the crime scene guys doing arrests. I don't know what the hell you yanks teach in science class. Guard Dog
I watch The First 48 on A&E all the time and I am always amazed at how real police work compared to CSI, Law and Order, etc. My biggest running laugh is the pastel clad faries on CSI Miami who only seem to have murder victims on South Beach, Key Biscayne, Sunny Isles, Adventura and the othe ritzy parts of town. I'd like to see them in "real" Miami. Like Overtown, Liberty City, Pork and Beans, or Little Haiti. It would be funny. Nice touch. 'xactly. ...I'm having one of those days where I have tons of errands/stuff to do, and I keep telling myself "all right, here I go, I'm getting up and going" and then 15 minutes later I discover my arse is still firmly planted in this chair. Over and over. On the bright side, such days teach me exactly how efficient I can be with certain tasks, when I finally do get up and do them. “Things are as they are. Syraxis
My 360 just got the RROD. I have to call tech support because I registered the console serial # with a different live account back in 2006, I had to make a new one because I accidentally set the parental controls and couldn't get them to deactivate. I don't remember that password (3 years ago), FML. Just when Tales of Vesperia was getting interesting. I'll do it tommorow, in no mood now. Guard Dog
Don't ever date a lawyer. I'm telling you, there is something not right about them. Syraxis
They do something to them in law school that turns them into dysfunctional people. I'd be dysfunctional too if I had to sit and read/type legal documents all day. I swapped a few emails with xbox tech support, they were surprisingly helpful. But alas, I still have to call and get that serial number issue taken care of. I'll get to it this week, have a list of tasks to do that are higher priority. Guard Dog
I thought I was in major trouble this afternoon. The dogs were outside and one of the damned coyotes appeared in my yard in broad daylight. I thought there was going to to be a major dog fight but they just stared and sniffed at each other. The moment I got up to get my shotgun the coyote took off. Pretty smart, I wasn't going to shoot him but he didn't know that.
