Aristes Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 I just got hired by BioWare, so.... Dragon Age Hey, congrats bro! I'm at my mom and dads, so I really only have access to WoW. Not a lot of time to play stuff anyhow, but I've managed to game a little.
Pidesco Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 Dead Space can only be properly played with a gamepad. Sorry, but that's bull****. Unless you have a really crappy mouse. Yeah, people said stuff like that about the Sands of Time trilogy and Devil May Cry too, I never had any problems that a controller would've solved. While Sands of Time is more than playable with keyboard and mouse, Devil May Cry can get complicated without a gamepad, especially on the harder difficulty levels. Gorgon Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 (edited) Dead Space can only be properly played with a gamepad. Sorry, but that's bull****. Unless you have a really crappy mouse. No, and here is why. When your mouse nears it's target it slows down to accommodate gamepad analogue stick aiming. That means you have to crank up mouse sensibility to such a ridiculous degree you wind up doing circles around yourself when you aren't aiming. They failed, or just didn't care to address this for mouse users. Edited June 11, 2009 by Gorgon Na na na na na na ... greg358 from Darksouls 3 PVP is a CHEATER. That is all.

I had no such problems with either of 5 types of mouse i played it with. the only minor problem i had with the game was that V-sync in game limited the FPS to 30 so i had to turn it on in Nvidia Control panel to get 60. Sure without V-sync it ran great but lightning was corrupted. But no mouse problems. other than that. I hate my 8800 GTS when it comes to old games. Nvidia in their incompetence cannot manage to get Scaling controls working , so i cannot turn scaling off and have to play games stretched Edited June 11, 2009 by Majek 1.13 killed off Ja2.

Dragon Age Yay so we can expect SecuROM and Online activation on Dragon Age, because you love it so much and you change their mind for sure on this one \o/ Yes that's exactly what I'm going to do. In fact I was specifically hired on to assess the necessity of SecuROM and Online Activation, and so far I've given it my 110% endorsement. The really persuasive part of my argument was when I said there's this guy on the Obsidian boards that I just don't want to play the game, and I know he'll boycott it if it has SecuROM. I explained why and they were pretty convinced it was the best move for everyone involved. \o/ Cheers!
WILL THE ALMIGHTY Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 Obsidian forumites secretly manipulate all RPG developpers. "Alright, I've been thinking. When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade - make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don't want your damn lemons, what am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life's manager. Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons. Do you know who I am? I'm the man who's gonna burn your house down! With the lemons. I'm going to to get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!"
