X-wing and TIE-fighter werent really that good if you take off the rose-coloured glasses of nostalgia. I'm not quite sure how or why you would want to do that. If you are making a "best of" list, I would think you would need to ignore the fact that older games are are going to look outdated. For its time, they were fantastic games. I would think the argument could be better made that comparing a flight sim to an RPG or an action game is the bigger problem with these lists.

March 30, 200916 yr Tie Fighter Dark Forces Xwing Republic Commando and X-Wing Alliance are probably my favorites overall. Tie Fighter and Xwing were BRILLIANT and I wish Lucas Arts would revive the franchise... or at least remake them (with Holland at the helm again) with good graphics.
