The album as a whole is very good, but this track, at the moment, stands out. Juno Reactor - Badimo You can't get YouTube? Yes I can, but some movies are unavailable. Censorship, royalties for certain music companies, who knows The Juno Reactor one works for example. Starwars Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 Karl Sanders - Rapture of the Empty Spaces Karl Sanders is one of the guys from Death Metal band Nile. He has released two solo records, Saurian Meditation and Saurian Excorcisms. This track is from the latter CD, which is a fairly recent release. The style is sort of ambient, mixed with... well, how can one describe it? Dark ritualistic music. It's a great CD (as is the first one) and excellent to get your imagination flowing. Heh. Most of those are absolute classics in the jazz world. My high school jazz band played an arrangements of both "The Sidewinder" and "Take Five" during my years there, and "Cantoloupe Island" is usually one of the first tunes that student learn to improvise on (it's modal structure makes it easy for beginners to follow). Last tune I listened to was the Talking Heads -- Road to Nowhere.
Gorgon Posted May 11, 2009 Posted May 11, 2009 Well I guess theres a reason they are classics. I'm partial to digitally remastered stuff or something 60's or later. My dad had a lot of Ellington era stuff I never really got into because the sound quality was so inferior. If it's mono, analogue and grainy whats the use. There's a fair lot of jazz compositions I just find boring, but the good stuff is just fab. What else do you like. Na na na na na na ... greg358 from Darksouls 3 PVP is a CHEATER. That is all.
