mr insomniac Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 Because EA only makes repetitve sports titles or continual Sim expansions. Having fond memories of games like Archon I&II, Adventure Construction Set, Mail Order Monsters, Bards Tale I-III, Heart of Africa, Hard Hat Mack, M.U.L.E., Marble Madness, Neuromancer, Racing Destruction Set, Skyfox, Realm of Impossibility (one of my all time favourite games) and Battlechess. They also published a game called Wasteland, which I unfortunately never found in a store I remember some of those titles! Racing Destruction Set was a blast. They should remake it with a modern engine, and M.U.L.E. too. I took this job because I thought you were just a legend. Just a story. A story to scare little kids. But you're the real deal. The demon who dares to challenge God. So what the hell do you want? Don't seem to me like you're out to make this stinkin' world a better place. Why you gotta kill all my men? Why you gotta kill me? Nothing personal. It's just revenge.
Volourn Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 EA is awesome. Period. They would make ana wesome FO. My chocies would be companies who make games that i enjoy which would included both BIO, and Obsidian and completely nullify Bethesda. DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.

RPGs is not or ever will be their niche. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
Volourn Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 Proof, please. DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
Pop Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 EA doesn't have a niche, they're big-tent publishers, the super-Walmart of gaming. Join me, and we shall make Production Beards a reality!

Atom523 Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 UNITY THROUGH POWER! UNITY THROUGH POWER! UNITY THROUGH POWER! UNITY THROUGH POWER! UNITY THROUGH POWER! UNITY THROUGH POWER! UNITY THROUGH POWER! UNITY THROUGH POWER! I was actually pleasantly surprised with how good command and conquer 3 was. I was disappointed with generals and thought that EA would screw up the main series but i must say that i really enjoyed the game. Now they need to pleasantly surprise me again with a high quality Dungeon Keeper 3 heh heh.
Oerwinde Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 I'll go with Obsidian. They can do what they were trying to do with Van Buren, only with a more efficient engine so they don't have as many headaches. The area between the balls and the butt is a hotbed of terrorist activity.
Atom523 Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Personally l enjoy bioware's games but Obsidian does make some decent ones too. I guess my first choice would be Bioware and second Obsidian.
Xard Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 My choice is Obsidian because people who worked on Fallout(s) and still are in CRPG industry work in Obsidian. Don't get me wrong, Bioware rocks too, but I'm not so sure Fallout would be their kind of game (besides, Avellone must get something for all the wasted plans he did for Fallout games ) How can it be a no ob build. It has PROVEN effective. I dare you to show your builds and I will tear you apart in an arugment about how these builds will won them. - OverPowered Godzilla (OPG)
Pop Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 (edited) I bet the Obsidian developers who peruse this Obsidian board are going to be stunned by the overwhelming popularity of Obsidian on this Obsidian poll. And I voted Bethesda, because it's punk. Edited July 6, 2007 by Pop Join me, and we shall make Production Beards a reality!
Nick_i_am Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 http://www.ea.com/moh/airborne/index.jsp damn EA and their stream of uninnovateive sports games. If they put coop in this I would love themforever. (Approved by Fio, so feel free to use it)

Tale Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 (edited) Battlefield 2142 is awesome. Anyone who disagrees is a communist. As is Command & Conquer 3. Except communists should also agree. Edited July 7, 2007 by Tale "Show me a man who "plays fair" and I'll show you a very talented cheater."
Atreides Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 Obsidian would be interesting, if just to let the devs work on a Mature rated game. I'd rather they did a Vampire: The Requiem but Fallout's cool too. Plus I know many of them like Fallout. Spreading beauty with my katana.

thepixiesrock Posted July 7, 2007 Posted July 7, 2007 See what I did there? I took a fraction of the games developed by the company, and used it as a representation of all the games made by said company. But I guess this late in the game we don't need people to point out Hades' irrational over-generalizations.
