Blank Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 So, as some of you may have noticed, filling the beloved Lost's timeslot is this new show called Day Break. IMDB summarizes the plot well: "Today Detective Brett Hopper will be accused of shooting state attorney Alberto Garza. He will offer his rock solid alibi. He will realize he's been framed. And he will run. Then he will wake up and start the day over again." Anyway, did anyone here watch it? Like it or no? I've always liked the reliving-a-day idea, like with Groundhog Day. But this is a slightly different approach, since it is a violent day to relive, and the injuries he gets cross over to the next day... er, same day, but in the morning again. So he isn't invulnerable like Bill Murray. Diggs does a pretty good job I think, and the cinematography is pretty too. Last time, Lost did reruns and had a new episode every month or so. This time they are taking a break and then going to return next year with straight weeks of new stuff. I like this new show, so I don't mind the wait.
Walsingham Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 Isn't this essentially Tru Calling? "It wasn't lies. It was just... bull****"." -Elwood Blues tarna's dead; processing... complete. Disappointed by Universe. RIP Hades/Sand/etc. Here's hoping your next alt has a harp.
Surreptishus Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 Doesn't Tru Calling move forward with time overall?
astr0creep Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 Doesn't Tru Calling suck? http://entertainmentandbeyond.blogspot.com/
astr0creep Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 I would certainly hope so. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> http://entertainmentandbeyond.blogspot.com/

Krookie Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 Eh, I don't watch these shows. 24, Lost, Grey's Anatomy, Day Break...I just can't get into them.
thepixiesrock Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 He doesn't watch shows that were created before he was born. Lou Gutman, P.I.- It's like I'm not even trying anymore!http://theatomicdanger.iforumer.com/index....theatomicdangerOne billion b-balls dribbling simultaneously throughout the galaxy. One trillion b-balls being slam dunked through a hoop throughout the galaxy. I can feel every single b-ball that has ever existed at my fingertips. I can feel their collective knowledge channeling through my viens. Every jumpshot, every rebound and three-pointer, every layup, dunk, and free throw. I am there.
Hurlshort Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 Krookie only watches shows with dinosaurs in them. Although there is a LOST dino theory...
Blarghagh Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 Hey, dinosaurs are awesome. I only watch House M.D.
Pope Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 Shows like Lost are awesome. They actually require a long term memory, unlike most other shows, which are essentially created for braindead people that just like staring at their tv.
Draken Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 The previews for the show are so anti-climactic. It has all these action shots and the music gets really intense, then the music stops, flash to the wife waking up in bed, and Taye Diggs is staring at her on a chair next to the bed, and he goes, "I love you." in the worst way you could possibly say I love you. Daybreak schmaybreak; where's mah Lost. Seriously, only like, three people can touch my body
Krookie Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 krookie likes the care bears more. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> you're a riot.
