Movies You Have Seen Lately

I watched The Shining (again).

I think there are few movies that make one feel so isolated.

Kubrick's best work next to 2001. He made unique movies that made you think.

2001 I agree, but give me

Paths of Glory

Spartacus

Lolita

Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb

A Clockwork Orange

Full Metal Jacket (The first half anyway)

over The Shinning any day.

Saw II. Thought the first one was much better, although the traps in the second one were pretty cool. Wonder if there really will be a Saw III. Before that I watched Happy Gilmore again.

I took this job because I thought you were just a legend. Just a story. A story to scare little kids. But you're the real deal. The demon who dares to challenge God.

So what the hell do you want? Don't seem to me like you're out to make this stinkin' world a better place. Why you gotta kill all my men? Why you gotta kill me?

Nothing personal. It's just revenge.

He did reprise that roll in Frighteners. Best Michael J. Fox movie ever.

I haven't seen City on Fire. I'll have to change that. ;)

I saw a trailer for Fantastic 4 on the Xmen3 DVD - I didn't know the guy from Nip/Tuck was in it. As the bad guy, yet. Darnit...now I'll have to rent what I hear is a very bad movie.

Not only does it have the guy from Nip/Tuck, but also the guy from the Shield. It's FX madness.

I'm going to go see the Last King of Scotland here soon, whenever I can make the time to go down to the Mayan in Denver.

I didn't think Fantastic 4 was too bad. It was much better than Daredevil. I'd say it was worth watching just because the Thing really does look awesome. In fact, the ordeal that Michael Chiklis went through to wear that outfit deserves an hour and a half of our time.
