Morgoth Posted December 4, 2006 Author Posted December 4, 2006 I thought Alan Wake would use multicore-threads for physics/dynamics calculation. But for Bioshock this would make sense too. Rain makes everything better.
Morgoth Posted December 14, 2006 Author Posted December 14, 2006 There's a new Bioshock trailer available. Shows some new gameplay footage, including "Hunt the Big Daddy" and more. You can watch it on this crappy site. Rain makes everything better.
Pidesco Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 A lot of that footage had already appeared before. I guess the highlight of that trailer is the airplane crash and the lighthouse. Pidesco Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 Apparently the airplane crash scene in that new trailer is real time stuff! Morgoth Posted December 15, 2006 Author Posted December 15, 2006 Finally, the official Website has gone online! Check out the new media! OMG OMG OMG!!!!!!! Rain makes everything better.
Slowtrain Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 ok. I think I peed myself. Forums aren't up yet though. Notice how I can belittle your beliefs without calling you names. It's a useful skill to have particularly where you aren't allowed to call people names. It's a mistake to get too drawn in/worked up. I mean it's not life or death, it's just two guys posting their thoughts on a message board. If it were personal or face to face all the usual restraints would be in place, and we would never have reached this place in the first place. Try to remember that.
Pidesco Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 New website. Check out the feature on the shotgun. Dark_Raven Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 My, that's a big gun you got there. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
Tale Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 My, that's a big gun you got there. Dude, Meta, an e-girl just came on to you. Go for it, yo. "Show me a man who "plays fair" and I'll show you a very talented cheater."

Darque Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Wow, devolving into spam.... whatever shall I be forced to do? <_<
Dark_Raven Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 To be or not to be.... this is the question. Bioshock has big uber guns in it I assume? Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
Darque Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 A little too big, at least from one of the movies. The gun image took up like 1/4 of your screen.
Dark_Raven Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 That sounds lame an unrealistic. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
Darque Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Well, I agree with the lame part. But since it's a game about mutants living in an underwater city around the year 1956... realism doesn't really come into it.

Slowtrain Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 I'm definitely not big on the artisitic look of the gameworld from what I've seen so far, but that is hardly a gamebreaker. The look they are going for with world is a mechanical one: pumps, pulleys, pistons, and gears; no transistors or miniaturization. So that that point of view, the art is internally consistent with the gameworld, which is more important than realistic. Notice how I can belittle your beliefs without calling you names.
