Musopticon? Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 (edited) Thanks Llyr, you dreamy burnsauce. Edit:What the heck? Sugarman? Edited May 1, 2006 by Musopticon? kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. I had to fight against blood thirsty wolves and rabid penguins to get my food. Those who were too weak to survive were sent to Sweden. It has made me the man I am today. A man who craves furry hentai. So let us go and embrace the rustling smells of unseen worlds
LoneWolf16 Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 (w00t) Yay! Thanks! I had thought that some of nature's journeymen had made men and not made them well, for they imitated humanity so abominably. - Book of Counted Sorrows 'Cause I won't know the man that kills me and I don't know these men I kill but we all wind up on the same side 'cause ain't none of us doin' god's will. - Everlast
Judge Hades Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 (edited) Looks like they have ceilings in some of those pics. Good. Its beginning to look like an actual DnD game. Now we need pics of the UI. Edited May 1, 2006 by Judge Hades
WinterSun Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 I just want to know if it's third person or not. Pretty shots though. master of my domain Pedicabo ego vos et irrumabo.
Llyranor Posted May 1, 2006 Author Posted May 1, 2006 Yeah, the ceilings are very nice. You also see a small hint at the UI style where you see a small circle underneath the PC in one of them. From a modder's perspective, those screenies are bloody awesome. And those freaking height-maps. This one really showcases the potential for coolness in that respect. I'm going to waste so much time designing areas (Approved by Fio, so feel free to use it)
Shadowstrider Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 Exteriors look great, the interiors, especially the hard wood flooring, looks too "clean." The texture looks flat and extremely ridgid. *shrugs* Not ugly, but not really appealing, either.
Llyranor Posted May 1, 2006 Author Posted May 1, 2006 Yeah, in terms of interiors, it's less impressive visually, especially with their keeping with tilesets. Being able to mix and match different 'tilesets' will be a quite nice improvement, though. (Approved by Fio, so feel free to use it)
Judge Hades Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 They shouldn't be too different from that of Oblivion.
Llyranor Posted May 1, 2006 Author Posted May 1, 2006 My main concern is performance, especially in terms of how many creatures you can fit in one area without destroying the game. (Approved by Fio, so feel free to use it)
thepixiesrock Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 Wonder what the requirements are gonna look like. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Numbers and letters. Haw, haw, haw. Am I right fellas? I mean, am I right? Lou Gutman, P.I.- It's like I'm not even trying anymore!http://theatomicdanger.iforumer.com/index....theatomicdangerOne billion b-balls dribbling simultaneously throughout the galaxy. One trillion b-balls being slam dunked through a hoop throughout the galaxy. I can feel every single b-ball that has ever existed at my fingertips. I can feel their collective knowledge channeling through my viens. Every jumpshot, every rebound and three-pointer, every layup, dunk, and free throw. I am there.
LoneWolf16 Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 They shouldn't be too different from that of Oblivion. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> By the look of it, I'd think less than that. - Everlast
Judge Hades Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 (edited) Keep in mind the game is still in the development stage and while it is complete enough to give us pics I don't think the final product will look exactly like this. Edited May 1, 2006 by Judge Hades
Llyranor Posted May 1, 2006 Author Posted May 1, 2006 NWN1 wasn't too good in terms of being able to accommodate really large number of dudes on the screen at once, though. Hmm. (Approved by Fio, so feel free to use it)
mr insomniac Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 I'm impressed. The game looks super so far. Think that halfling is toast though. I took this job because I thought you were just a legend. Just a story. A story to scare little kids. But you're the real deal. The demon who dares to challenge God. So what the hell do you want? Don't seem to me like you're out to make this stinkin' world a better place. Why you gotta kill all my men? Why you gotta kill me? Nothing personal. It's just revenge.
Judge Hades Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 Are you sure that is a halfling? I could be a kid. Of course if it was a kid the earth elemental is toast. Kids are invincible you know.
Kaftan Barlast Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 (edited) Good: -Lighting -Exteriors -Foliage -pretty much everything.. Bad: -Textures on some interiors are too flat -The ogre model is too lowpoly for the normalmaps to work Exteriors look great, the interiors, especially the hard wood flooring, looks too "clean." The texture looks flat and extremely ridgid. *shrugs* Not ugly, but not really appealing, either. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, the textures on the winebarrels looks like they came straight out of NWN1. ShadowPaladin V1.0 Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 beat me too it. I have to agree with Volourn. Bioware is pretty much dead now. Deals like this kills development studios. 478327
ShadowPaladin V1.0 Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 They look really pretty. But also kind of bland (as in not much going on in them). I have to agree with Volourn. Bioware is pretty much dead now. Deals like this kills development studios. 478327
Daaave Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 They look really pretty. But also kind of bland (as in not much going on in them). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Just because you're a bit thinner than your even fatter mum it doesn't mean you're in excellent physical shape, if you could fit through the door and view the normal people you'd notice that cheeseburger boy. Squid suck.
