Ugh, how could I forget Track & Field for the NES? I used to get terrible blisters playing that game.

Of all the ones I've played... NHL Roster Update 2004.

Hard to pick just one.... But if I had to choose one it would be Madden 2004.

Best of the rest:

Football

Pro - Madden 2004

College - NCAA 2006 - Home field advantage, create sign is awesome. The best atmosphere of any sports game I have ever played.

Honorable mention - Madden 94, Super Tecmo Bowl

Baseball

Pro MVP2005

By the way if you play this game on the PC check out this mod:

http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?nam...etails&id=2844

Up to date rosters, 2006 schedules, new player pictures, real advertisements, updated stadiums.

College MVP NCAA 2006 (It plays better than MVP)

Honorable mention - Bases Loaded

Basketball

2K5 College Hoops

( I do not and will never own a pro basketball game)

Hockey

NHL 2K5

Auto Racing

GT3

Motorcycle

Road Rash

Snow Boarding

SSX

Excellent site for all sports game. You will have to register to participate in the forms.

Not I. I used a battery!

Though my cousin was much, much faster than me on the buttons, I was way better at timing the jumps and getting good angles. When we combined forces, we started reaching the sand pit on the "skip" part of the triple jump. The game gut buggered up when that happened.

He was too fast for me for high jump though, I could never time it before we ran into the mat!

Skeeting shooting was mine and all mine though :D

RalliSport Challenge 2. It strikes the right balance between simulation and arcade-y fun. The damage modeling is great, and there's nothing like finishing a race with smashed out windows, a missing hood, and an exposed rotor.

A hilarious and unbelievably fun sport racing game on the Genesis, was "Road Rash"..

You can beat up fellow bike riders with a variety of weapons!

I remember that game! (Didn't they make a sequel, too?)

Actually I also liked Sega Rally (or whatever it was called): the one with the team racing up to four simultaneously on either Beginner (circular), Intermediate or Advanced (ludicrous hairpin bends and suicidal falls off the raised roadway) tracks.

Of course the king of ALL rally games is the classic Rally X, on the proper sit down machine ...

I believe that there were three titles in the Road Rash series, IIRC

I must say I never played Rally.. Shameful for a SEGA aficionado like myself :"> . Was this on the Genesis?

Nope, it was in the arcade :D ($4 for a game, as long as you beat the pacer).

Genesis was where I played Road Rash, because I played it around 1992-ish ...
