kumquatq3 Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 Battle Bugs. Still have never met another soul who has played the game tho. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That was the RTS type game with bug troopers wasnt it :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ya! You had to "capture" food by raising a little flag on it.
ShadowPaladin V1.0 Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 Ya! You had to "capture" food by raising a little flag on it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Bugs make good units because there are so many different kinds that do different things. Battalion Wars would be great fun with bugs instead of people. Maybe I will suggest it since they already have the engine. Ants was fun too , although more in an ant simulator way. Taking over the garden and then the house, and losing 100's of ants to the mower and the dreaded footsteps. Makes you wonder really, there are so many old games which would bring a new twist, yet they keep remaking the same old games which just do the same thing. I have to agree with Volourn. Bioware is pretty much dead now. Deals like this kills development studios. 478327[/snapback]
kumquatq3 Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 The original Crimson Skies on ebay for the PC Now that I think about it, that had alot in common with Firefly.

Sargallath Abraxium Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 Planescape: Torment ...nuthin' else needs ta be said... :D ...WHO LUVS YA, BABY!!... A long, long time ago, but I can still remember, How the Trolling used to make me smile. And I knew if I had my chance, I could egg on a few Trolls to "dance", And maybe we'd be happy for a while. But then Krackhead left and so did Klown; Volo and Turnip were banned, Mystake got run out o' town. Bad news on the Front Page, BIOweenia said goodbye in a heated rage. I can't remember if I cried When I heard that TORN was recently fried, But sadness touched me deep inside, The day...Black Isle died. For tarna, Visc, an' the rest o' the ol' Islanders that fell along the way

Gabrielle Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 It's a game that sucks. Such a waste of good CDs to. They could have used those CDs for Pool of Radience 2.

Janmanden Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 (edited) It's a game that sucks. Such a waste of good CDs to. They could have used those CDs for Pool of Radience 2. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Don't know the first game, but if it sucks too, then swapping sucky games from cd to cd sounds equally wasted - Pool of Radiance 2 was a complete waste of time. While waste is generally not appreciated for what it is, underappreciated games are generally wasted for what they are not. edit: AAAARGH! ...people that post when I'm posting should be shot on sight, except when they are moderators of course - then they should be spanked long and hard first. I'll make an exception this once for a well made point. Quotes added to avoid confusion with the ONE good game PS:T. Edited December 14, 2005 by Janmanden (Signatures: disabled)
Meshugger Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 (edited) Unreal 1 Since fps's are pretty disliked here, i wanted to point that one out. Excellent graphics for its time and one of the best soundtracks aswell = Very immersive shooter. //EDIT: Actually make that one of the greatest games ever. Janmanden Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 Unreal1 (which just happen to be the only one in that series I've got) wasn't exactly underappreciated. On the contrary, the AI was all the hype once, but without a decent multiplayer and Quake II still around... (Signatures: disabled)
angshuman Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 [Oddly enough, I've never played the first Unreal. It was a nice single-player shooter by those days' standards. Pretty immersive, superb music, and the first few levels were great. Unfortunately, I felt that the action became a little repetitive after a while, and never got around to finishing the game. Unreal 2 was a joke. The U-Tournaments, of course, are very good games.
Diamond Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 Unreal 1 (but not exactly underappriciated) Unreal 2 Underappriciated: Tone Rebellion

Makers of X-Com and a fantasy theme with light phase and a tactical side=too bloody great for words. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Based on Lord of Chaos, which in turn was based on Chaos for the spectrum (which was based on a very old boardgame that I'm not old enough to remember). I've still got the original MoM (on floppy , more than one as I recall) came across it last time I was up in the attic. Edited December 14, 2005 by ShadowPaladin V1.0 I have to agree with Volourn. Musopticon? Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 I know. There's been rumours of a LoC-remake in the pbem-format. kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears.
