Really? I haven't heard it used outside of that context in a very long time if at all. Except in sporting events when there is no Swedish (or Scandinavian) presence. I'm not saying your wrongor anything, just recounting my own experiences. You may actually be right about people living in Sweden. But if you look at sports, for instance, I believe Swedes are much more inclined to support Finnish athletes than Norwegian or Danish.
