GhostofAnakin Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 WastelandPool of Radiance Daggerfall Not very obscure titles, but I'd love to see them upgraded to today's technology. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So would I. Then I'd actually get around to playing them. :D "Console exclusive is such a harsh word." - Darque"Console exclusive is two words Darque." - Nartwak (in response to Darque's observation)
Gorth Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 Tomb Raider (awesome game for it's time) Carmageddon (splat!) Fallout (what got me into PC gaming in the first place) Syndicate Wars (corporate management was never more fun) X-Com Apocalypse (yes, I actually liked that one) Defender of the Crown (the game was so simple, yet so addictive) Lords of Midnight (the ultimative 8 bit game) Master of Orion 2 (will we ever get anything like that again ?) Ultima IV (first crpg to truly capture my imagination and getting me lost to the world in a computer game) Elite (Bell, Braben, you suck. Shake hands, make up, make a new game dammit!) All of those are old games, some of which had sequels, but to the best of my knowledge more sequels in name than anything else... >_ “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. Calax Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 Xwing Tie Fighter Dark Forces Deus Ex (I don't care what you say it should be remade) Command and Conquer... the one that started it all. Victor of the 5 year fan fic competition! Kevin Butler will awesome your face off.
Oerwinde Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 I swear we did this last month...Ultima 4 and Quest for Glory 2...and Xcom for teh win. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> http://www.agdinteractive.com/ They're remaking Quest for Glory 2 into QG4 graphics with mouse control and such. They did a great job with Kings Quest one and two, so I'm really looking forward to this one. Anyway, I'd like to see all the infinity engine games remade. Combine the entire BG saga into one huge game with updated nifty keen graphics, actual party interaction in the BG1 section, more sidequests in BG1, and an explorable world map in the BG2 section. Also add a shwackload more roleplaying to the ToB part. PST with updated graphics would be cool too. I'd also like to see FF6 get a remake so people can stop saying FF7 was the best one just because they've never played anything before 7. Reveilled Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 Remakes, you duff. Not sequels. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> When it's a game that is derived from Civilization, a sequel is a remake with a number after it. Hawk! Eggplant! AWAKEN!
Hurlshort Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 Sweet, Kings Quest was remade recently! I bookmarked the page and I'll have to toy with them this weekend. I wonder if I still have to type everything in?
Pidesco Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 A remake of Megalomania would be nice. "My hovercraft is full of eels!" - Hungarian tourist I am Dan Quayle of the Romans. Sargallath Abraxium Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 Planescape: Torment ...WHO LUVS YA, BABY!!... A long, long time ago, but I can still remember, How the Trolling used to make me smile. And I knew if I had my chance, I could egg on a few Trolls to "dance", And maybe we'd be happy for a while. But then Krackhead left and so did Klown; Volo and Turnip were banned, Mystake got run out o' town. Bad news on the Front Page, BIOweenia said goodbye in a heated rage. I can't remember if I cried When I heard that TORN was recently fried, But sadness touched me deep inside, The day...Black Isle died. Gabrielle Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 PoR 2. Have it made by a decent company with the necessary time to make it complete, bug free, etc. This could have been a decent game but instead it became a total piece of sh*t.
Plano Skywalker Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 * Tie Fighter * Grim Fandango * Planescape: Torment

The building of your company is more interesting than religious zealots to me.

The building of your company is more interesting than religious zealots to me. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The Xcom/Syndicate sort of gameplay hasnt been tapped for ages. Outside of the Japanese PS2 games (ring of red, robot commander etc) and the GC/GBA not a huge ammount has been done on the strategy gaming front recently outside of RTS. Both Syndicate and Xcom should get a make over, if only because they blend two different types of gameplay together very well. I have to agree with Volourn. Bioware is pretty much dead now. Deals like this kills development studios. 478327[/snapback]
Ioini Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 Ultimate Doom and Doom II. Those games got me into the gaming world in the first place.
