Rosbjerg Posted October 2, 2005 Posted October 2, 2005 the one where they translated women into .. b i t c h .. is especially bad! Fortune favors the bald.
jaguars4ever Posted October 2, 2005 Posted October 2, 2005 Microsoft has also managed to upset women and entire countries. A Spanish-language version of Windows XP, destined for Latin American markets, asked users to select their gender between "not specified," "male" or "bitch," because of an unfortunate error in translation. Priceless.
Judge Hades Posted October 2, 2005 Posted October 2, 2005 Cost Microsoft millions, eh? Don't they make that much in day or two anyway?
Bokishi Posted October 2, 2005 Posted October 2, 2005 Gates makes like $32 million a minute doesn't he? Current 3DMark
julianw Posted October 2, 2005 Posted October 2, 2005 I don't know if it's that extreme, but if he drops a hundred-dollar-bill, he's better off keep walking.
Reveilled Posted October 2, 2005 Posted October 2, 2005 I don't know if it's that extreme, but if he drops a hundred-dollar-bill, he's better off keep walking. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, I never understood that idea. I mean, even if he makes more than a hundred dollars in the time it takes to pick up a hundred dollar bill, if he stopped to pick it up, wouldn't he have the money he makes, plus the hundred dollars? Hawk! Eggplant! AWAKEN!
Dark Moth Posted October 2, 2005 Posted October 2, 2005 Well, they are perilously close to having a monopoly on the computer market. Pracitcally everything is Microsoft. Nah, a few million can't hurt.

LoneWolf16 Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 Wow, this thing's ancient I had thought that some of nature's journeymen had made men and not made them well, for they imitated humanity so abominably. - Book of Counted Sorrows 'Cause I won't know the man that kills me and I don't know these men I kill but we all wind up on the same side 'cause ain't none of us doin' god's will. - Everlast
Darkside Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 Wow, this thing's ancient <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And yet still hilarious.

SteveThaiBinh Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 This kind of thing happens all the time. There was a Western company that advertised soap powder in Kuwait showing the dirty clothes to the left, then the clean clothes to the right, forgetting that Arabic speakers read from right to left, so the powder was making the clothes dirty. Most international maps do show Kashmir a different colour to either Pakistan or India. "An electric puddle is not what I need right now." (Nina Kalenkov)
kirottu Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 http://www.engrish.com/ One the best sites ever. This post is not to be enjoyed, discussed, or referenced on company time.
Darth_Schmarth Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 While engrish.com is a funny site, it isn't quite the same as this. But I see where you're coming from. ^Asinus asinorum in saecula saeculorum
