kumquatq3 Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 LINK destined to produce at least a few memorable one liners
Ewen Brown Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 are you sure they weren't all already in the trailer Winterwind
Oerwinde Posted April 26, 2005 Posted April 26, 2005 They weren't all in the trailer. Wash and Mal supply all the one liners in the show, at least 2-3 each episode each, and they only showed one from each of them. I really hope all the space sound effects are only in the trailer. One of the neat parts of the show was that there was no sound in space. EDIT: Oh yeah... Hell Yes. The area between the balls and the butt is a hotbed of terrorist activity.
Oerwinde Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 Well, everyone over at CHUD and SuperheroHype are pretty excited about it, even the ones who were doubting it. It looks amazing for a 40 million dollar budget. I guess they saved a lot by going with all little known actors. The area between the balls and the butt is a hotbed of terrorist activity.
Kor Qel Droma Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 "this is going to get interesting" "define interesting" "oh god oh god we're all going to die" that's right beatuiful Joss Whedon should pen the Star Wars TV series... Jaguars4ever is still alive. No word of a lie.
kirottu Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 Sounds like a fun movie. This post is not to be enjoyed, discussed, or referenced on company time.
><FISH'> Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 from the makers of buffy the vampire slayer? hehe im there :D
Oerwinde Posted April 28, 2005 Posted April 28, 2005 bump I need sequels, or a revival of the show, so everyone needs to see this movie. The area between the balls and the butt is a hotbed of terrorist activity.
Sarjahurmaaja. Posted April 28, 2005 Posted April 28, 2005 "I really hope all the space sound effects are only in the trailer. One of the neat parts of the show was that there was no sound in space." Yeah... That disappointed me. 9/30 -- NEVER FORGET!
Oerwinde Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 "I really hope all the space sound effects are only in the trailer. One of the neat parts of the show was that there was no sound in space." Yeah... That disappointed me. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I do admit it makes the trailer more exciting though. The area between the balls and the butt is a hotbed of terrorist activity.
SteveThaiBinh Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 So this was a TV series, right? Presumably they'll make allowances for those of us who haven't seen it. I liked Farscape: Peacekeeper Wars, but that was because I'd seen the series and wanted to know what happened to the characters. Did he say 'I aim to misbehave'? That line made me wince. "An electric puddle is not what I need right now." (Nina Kalenkov)
Baley Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 So this was a TV series, right? Yeah...it was pretty good too ....not as good as Farscape IMO ....but still good :D
Oerwinde Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 So this was a TV series, right? Presumably they'll make allowances for those of us who haven't seen it. That line made me wince. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It was an excellent TV show. The movie is set 6 months after the last episode of the series and apparently will re-introduce all the characters in a way that new viewers will understand, but old viewers won't be bored. Mal has a lot of good lines, and a lot of bad lines. But usually the bad lines are on purpose to either get a rise out of someone, or make light of the situation. Still my all time favorite Mal line is "Ooooh I'm going to the special hell." The area between the balls and the butt is a hotbed of terrorist activity.
Darth Flatus Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 I think the series was shown on sci fi in the uk. Might download the eps at some point in the future, i did like buffy and angel so i should probably check it out.
Oerwinde Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 Mal: Mercy is the mark of a great man. *stab* Mal: Well maybe I'm just a good man. *stab* Mal: Eh, I'm ok. *walks away* Also a good moment. The area between the balls and the butt is a hotbed of terrorist activity.
Oerwinde Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 http://www.comingsoon.net/news/topnews.php?id=10465 International trailer. Not a very well put together trailer, but has some good clips. The area between the balls and the butt is a hotbed of terrorist activity.
Archmonarch Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 I just finished watching the series earlier today, so I had also considered making this thread. Great minds think alike, eh, kumquat? Anyway, Im looking forward to it. Also, the U.S. Scifi channel will be showing the series Fridays at 7 PM starting this week. So if you havent seen it, theres a chance to catch up. And I find it kind of funny I find it kind of sad The dreams in which I'm dying Are the best I've ever had
merry andrew Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 I watched the first few episodes last night, it's not that bad. I'll probably like it quite a bit after a few more episodes.
Reveilled Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 I think it opens at the Edinburgh Film Festival, at least here in Scotland, so I'll be sure to go see it. I've never watched Firefly, but only because I've never been able to catch the first episodes, and wouldn't like watching it from the middle. Hawk! Eggplant! AWAKEN!
Kor Qel Droma Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 September seems like a lifetime away... Jaguars4ever is still alive. No word of a lie.
Musopticon? Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 I've only seen one episode of Firefly. There these wackos who cut their tongues and had a craving for taking human lives. I was all that impressed; although the music was kinda groovy. kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. I had to fight against blood thirsty wolves and rabid penguins to get my food. Those who were too weak to survive were sent to Sweden. It has made me the man I am today. A man who craves furry hentai. So let us go and embrace the rustling smells of unseen worlds
6 Foot Invisible Rabbit Posted July 21, 2005 Posted July 21, 2005 Firefly is the third best sci fi show ever made. Harvey
Universal Soldier Posted July 21, 2005 Posted July 21, 2005 Firefly is the third best sci fi show ever made. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And what were the other 2? And I have caught a few episodes didn't think it was to bad but I think I will wait for the DVD
6 Foot Invisible Rabbit Posted July 21, 2005 Posted July 21, 2005 Doctor Who (New and Old) #1 Battlestar Galactica (New) #2 Harvey
