TetsuJedi Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 Just started learning to draw last week. Trying for Anime-style art. I don't know how to shade, nor define fabric folds. :"> (Special thanks to Aimo for her highly inspiring artwork. )
The Great Phantom Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 Not bad, although it looks like somebody from the 70's or so... (the Capri pants, I think they're called... I'll have to ask my friend on Monday). The Great Phantom Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 Wow... Hey, you've drawn the attention of aimo... they're reading as we speak. That skirt looks a lot better than the capris did... The body seems slim, for some reason... It's a whole lot better than mine would be (unless you're also a member of the Stick Figure Drawers Anonymous...) TetsuJedi Posted April 10, 2005 Author Posted April 10, 2005 Wow... Hey, you've drawn the attention of aimo... they're reading as we speak. (w00t) (BTW, "they're"?) That skirt looks a lot better than the capris did... Yeah, it kind'a does. Thanks for that. The body seems slim, for some reason... 6-o'clock diet? :D
Jivin Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 Great work One thing though, in the game Visas had lips like mick jagger lol
Steffel Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 Nice one. I think some folds woudn't hurt though. Fabric does have that tendency and the coat just seems to be too straight down. Also add some shading.

I don't know how to shade, nor define fabric folds. :"> (Special thanks to Aimo for her highly inspiring artwork. ) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> that's a great pic! oh and you just started learning how to draw?! so never before last week you've known how to draw?
dufflover Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 I'm not an artist so what I say I guess doesn't carry much weight, but she does look a bit thin in the mid section... It's a great base to start off. Constantly update the first post image with the latest version and I'm sure that the artists around here will tell what to do next and how. darth spock Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 "inspired by aimo" Hah, Aimo inspired me to do some KotoR drawings. They turned out terrible so I didn't attempt anymore. I like yours. The only thing I can draw is a hand, which still looks deformed. ^_^ Fanfics: KotOR II: After the Credits Rolled: Read Force Sight: Read Other: Gaming Blog: Read
Ohma Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 I like that minimalist style. you should try another pic. like that one, but with soft colors and a background...that would look cool...

Lord Tarondor Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 An excellent picture for a first attempt. I hope we see some more soon .
Odinson Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 Keep it up. My first attempt was horrid, I must say. Your attempt is damned good.
TetsuJedi Posted April 11, 2005 Author Posted April 11, 2005 that's a great pic! oh and you just started learning how to draw?! so never before last week you've known how to draw? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thanks much. And yah, I have never known how to draw (nor attempted to) prior to just recently. Currently reading up and trying to figure out fabric details and shading. Thing is, in both books and on the net, different people have their own ideas. I'm confused.
TetsuJedi Posted April 11, 2005 Author Posted April 11, 2005 "inspired by aimo" Hah, Aimo inspired me to do some KotoR drawings. They turned out terrible so I didn't attempt anymore. I like yours. The only thing I can draw is a hand, which still looks deformed. ^_^ <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh man, drawing hands is a major pain in the neck!!! My first attempts looked like chicken feet!!! And so are the eyes and lips. Oh, the eyes..! Very frustrating. Good thing Visas has a veil and didn't need to draw eyes.
