We've heard them suggested, but aside from new "unarmed" combat feats they never really revealed much.....

I hope there's "Sith magic" feats for the Sith classes (Sith Alchemy/Sorcery/etc.), and Jedi Masters can absorb or throw offensive powers (e.g. Lightning) like Yoda.

I wanted to start a topic like this since I first came to these boards but some people seem prone (sp?) to flaming like it's second nature to them. But I would like to know what new feats are in this game. I heard that their are over 30 new ones I hope they add to lightsaber battles instead of guns. I never used guns in the first one so I found the feats for guns useless.

They're adding alot of stuff to make ranged combat decent. They're making you want to use guns.

Also, many flame because they're really frusturated when things pop up that have been in former threads. That's spamming. There's probably some new stuff for sabers, but more for guns.

I doubt I will be using guns in KOTOR II. Even if you don't start a new topic and revive an old topic that is about your subject... you still get flamed. Darned if you do and darned if you don't.

I wonder if as well as 'two handed fighting feat' we will also have '2 weapons' and 'double-bladed' feats as well. This could improve the attack and damage of whatever weapons you choose to specialise in- rather than being able to swith between styles.

Lurking.

I'm going to have to turn on that toggle to hide my presence. Then I can lurk undetected!

You will start with the basic Lurking feat, then Advanced Lurking and finally Master Lurking. If not sure what bonuses you get with it though.

Another great idea by the people who brought you beer milkshakes!

is that really a feat

the force is what gives a jedi his power. its an energy field created by all living things. it surrounds us and penetrates us. it binds the galaxy together

Might be  , ask Akari about it!

Unarmed combat would be 3 Feats.

+ Unique class feats for each PrC 3 levels per class if following same pattern = 18.

+ Unique Character feats for non Force using NPCs, say about 4.

= 25

which is getting close to 30 already.

Everyone knows Science Fiction is really cool. You know what PoE really needs? Spaceships! There isn't any game that wouldn't be improved by a space combat minigame. Adding one to PoE would send sales skyrocketing, and ensure the game was remembered for all time!!!!!

They meant it like that? :)

I expect so. You normally talk up the numbers when marketing a product and all these things are technically feats.

Are you sure we need so may feats? In K1 only 6-7 feats are usefull, the others are mainly trash. Quality matters, not count.

Yeah, many feats are useles, so they need reworking. Those, adding bonus to your skills, are quite useles, by me. But at this moment, the feats aren't something very interessting to discuss....

I'm wondering if, since there are more feats, you'll earn more feat points more frequently.

Also, for marketing, they'll stretch things out as far as they can (while not lying) in order to make it seem like there's more to it than there is. For example, "Indianna Jones and the Emperor's Tomb" advertised 10 chapters on the box, while one consisted of only the shortest non-tutorial level in the game, while another was only a two minute boss fight. It wasn't a lie, but the description definately was stretched out.

Well, I hope there are more useful feats. KOTOR 1 was full of quite a few useless pieces of junk. You don't feel like you're giving anything up when chosing feats (unless you REALLY hate having to choose just one attack feat).

I find feature of being able to fight with your hands as a selective option a bit interesting, compared to KotOR, where's it was equal to suicide. Same thing with the emphasis on mid-ranged weapons.

Hopefully they have improved the feats for single/double/dual. So you have different feats for each of the styles and that you are required to have at least one of them to use either of the styles. Sames as it was with weapons and armor where you needed a feat to use them, that would be good

I too hope that there is a feat that for each saber instead of just single and double

I think that alot of feats will be like that, basically the same feats and things (with a few new ones like hand to hand combats) just more specific. Alot less of the types that can improve both ranged and swordplay
