Zach Morris Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 What do you guys think about that 1.5x strength? Will it come in handy? I only went dueling feat if I were going consular. Do you think it will be worth it in TSL?
sstep Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 i believe oe will make dueling worth it.first time through though, ill probably go with dual lightsabres.
Zach Morris Posted October 2, 2004 Author Posted October 2, 2004 One thing I think they need to change is the names of the feats. Dueling sounds too close to duel sabers.
makarik Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 i am going single saber with dueling...also from some of the screens that i have seen, there ARE weapon stances and i think they look cooler with a single saber than with dual.
Leferd Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 The single lightsaber look is classic. The other styles are too prequelish. "Things are funny...are comedic, because they mix the real with the absurd." - Buzz Aldrin."P-O-T-A-T-O-E" - Dan Quayle
Guest ChaosStorm Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 The single lightsaber look is classic. The other styles are too prequelish. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Agreed. That is the main reason why I pick the single saber style. The classic look. I don't care about the stats. A reason in KotOR 1 to go for single saber is that it saves you three feats. You will need to spend 3 feats in two-weapon use to make it worth it and dueling is too junk to take. So if you take a single saber and forget the dueling-non-sense you have 3 extra feats to put in something useful!
Kaftan Barlast Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 Agreed. If we dont put and end to this madness, we will soon be seeing lightsaber-whips. I don't like usernames Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 Agreed. If we dont put and end to this madness, we will soon be seeing lightsaber-whips. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> LOL, think female sith lord with lightwhip. (Though that would admittedly be more Bioware style)
DarthRevan987 Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 Two Weapon Feat....My trademark....Master Speed and Master Flurry...I will own TSL... Off hand Lightsaber usually has defensive crystals...and my right hand lightsaber has crystals like Sapith and Upari for Offensive damage...Double Bladed Sabers kinda suck...Any of my NPC Jedi in TSL has Double bladed lightsabers i will just give them dual single bladed lightsabers..More crystals
Rosbjerg Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 first time through I'll play the most powerfull configuration .. but as I play through later I'll be playing for roleplaying purposes .. and then I usely go with single, since it is, as many others have pointed out, the most classic! Although I don't think there is anything wrong with either doublebladed or dual lightsabers .. there will always be showoffs, even in a Starwars univers! Fortune favors the bald.

I personally like a single saber with the dueling feat. I found that with this setup if I could stop spamming specials and I would last a bit longer so that my support NPC's could heal me. But, then I guess with more offense I may not need to last so long. I guess it's a trade off and that's how it should be.
thepixiesrock Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 Dual double baded sabers B) (sarcastic) That is what the future holds for star wars... Sad isn't it... I will use one saber the way Star Wars was originally... Lou Gutman, P.I.- It's like I'm not even trying anymore!http://theatomicdanger.iforumer.com/index....theatomicdangerOne billion b-balls dribbling simultaneously throughout the galaxy. One trillion b-balls being slam dunked through a hoop throughout the galaxy. I can feel every single b-ball that has ever existed at my fingertips. I can feel their collective knowledge channeling through my viens. Every jumpshot, every rebound and three-pointer, every layup, dunk, and free throw. I am there.
Viper1000 Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 Sure why not dual double bladed? Just don't poke your eye out.
Jedi Master D Murda Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 I also agree that the Single Lightsaber is classic and looks beautiful. But I will be using double-blade and duel blade lightsabers, but more so the single.
Influence Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 Better options for teh singel lightsaber casue its more romantic. Most SKILLEd Jedi use it like Yoda and windu so it must have much better advantages.

alanschu Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 They should make dual wielding lightsabers and double-bladed sabers DS only!!!! :D
GhostofAnakin Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 Has any LSer in the history of SW ever used a double bladed lightsaber? "Console exclusive is such a harsh word." - Darque"Console exclusive is two words Darque." - Nartwak (in response to Darque's observation)
alanschu Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 Not that I know of, outside of KOTOR that is. Of course I never did care much for the EU so meh
Carth Vader Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 Has any LSer in the history of SW ever used a double bladed lightsaber? Not in the movies, which is the only place I really look. Maul was the only one, movie wise. Even Dooku only used one.
GhostofAnakin Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 Even in the books I've read (which is pretty much ALL of them), no Dark Jedi or Sith seem to use the double bladed lightsaber. Which should have made the double bladed lightsaber a lot more difficult to obtain in KOTOR. "Console exclusive is such a harsh word." - Darque"Console exclusive is two words Darque." - Nartwak (in response to Darque's observation)
Naso Posted October 11, 2004 Posted October 11, 2004 God, not a saber-whip.... I mean if you have that I guess the pc needs to be a Ferengi...........
Zach Morris Posted October 11, 2004 Author Posted October 11, 2004 I think they made maul use double bladed in the movies because they knew he would be fighting two people at once. Don't you think single bladed is more beneficial for consulars and double more suited for guardians?
