  1. Though I loved playing Revan in K1 from a game mechanics standpoint it would be the most to easy continue playing as the Exile in part 3. Since it was explained to us that the Exile works as a siphon, drawing his greatest strength from those around him, leaving those he has formed the strongest connections with behind when he heads for the outer rim might mean leaving his greatest strength behind as well. Now speaking in game mechanics that could mean that at the start of the game the Exile loses some levels and what remains is more or less what he was in terms of strength before Malachor V, with just his own (regained) connection to the force, a mediocre Jedi (let's say around level 10 -12 at the start of the game) and an exceptional leader. If the developers control the flow of experience points nicely throughout the game you might reach level 30 again at the end of the game. With Revan such a level drain at the beginning of the game would be far less easy to implement without resorting to the old and overused clich
  2. Well to cite something relevant for this forum how about a Christian themed censorship on computergames that have a game world that includes a polytheistic pantheon or prostitutes or vampires or devilworshippers or nudity, a kiss implied intercourse before marriage, lesbianism or anything else the fundamentalist Christian might deem offensive. The main problem though is that you can use faith or the bible (and other ancient texts) to justify just about anything and claim other people intolerant or worse for daring to say, think or live otherwise. Since most CRPG's are produced or translated into English primarily for the American market such legislature would also have an adverse effect on those of us living elsewhere.
  3. Frankly, alot of people decided to vote based on "the lesser of two evils". <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Then you should vote third party, you're one of the american people therefore enough people like you are the only ones who would have a chance to give third party candidates a chance. I must confess I don't understand you Americans on this point, but maybe that's because I live in a multiparty democracy but why for heavens sake would you vote for someone you would not want to see in office anyways?
  4. Is this the sentiment of more Americans or is it just you? If this is indeed the sentiment of a large minority of americans then why don't you vote third party? Even if third parties can't win if a lot of Americans did vote third party even if it was only in the house and senate election it would IMHO, as an outsider be the best way to send a message that you want your political system to change. Doesn't the Bush campaign genrally have more money? We all know more money=better lawyers.
  5. More sidequests or locations at least that way there's at least a tiny portion of the game Xbox users can't spoil for us.
  6. now theres an idea <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes it's an idea but not for a present day computer game unless someone's invented Star Trek like holodeck technology without telling me. It would be cool to see what's become of the Bastilla/Revan or even Carth Revan romances in the game but only if the developers can handle itmaturely.
  7. The one screeny of what I assume is the PC version (at the bottom) looks so much better than the others! Looks like we'll finally have decent robes this time around, now we'll just have to see a nice kissing animation if the plot involves romances.
  8. I imagine Fionavar looks somewhat like the picture in his avatar whether it's Halloween or not.
  9. Probably later then the US version and sooner then here in Europe. I take it there isn't even a remote possibility you could persuade LA to offer a pay per download version? It'll save me some money and a whole lot of paperwork compared to having to import the game on personal title.
  10. Little kiddies, I don't know, teens yes, however that doesn't necessitate ratings, ratings are only in place to give political and religious leaders and bad parents a warm and fuzzy feeling. If parents took more responsibility raising their children these systems that only give more power to petty bureaucrats in the government would be totally unnecessary. Finally one of the other posters has already brought this up but in television series and movies even those designed for children much more is shown in the same ratings category then in video games which is IMO a despicable double standard.
  11. In my opinion third party modifactions can enhance gameplay tremendously (the best looking robes I have in KOTOR are third party modifications) and you just don't get that on an Xbox, besides those gamepad thingy's make my fingers hurt. And finally PC's as office equipment are tax deductable to a certain amount when I upgrade them whereas consoles are not. And lastly I don't even own a decent televison set (that is one modern enough for a console), so even if I had a console I'd have nowhere to plug it into. And a good home theatre system plus an Xbox would cost about the same amount as a PC that outperforms the Xbox as a gaming platform.
  12. You know that, I know that, everyone who's finished primary education probably knows that but Micro$oft doesn't seem to want to know it because they're determined to saturate the gaming market with inferior platforms that'll have to be replaced every other year and drive out any and all serious competition while they're doing it.
  13. I'd agree with that if it wouldn't mean they would ban the more mature content altogether. On a side note yes I know the ratings are folly won't accomplish anything except give a few politcians a warm and fuzzy feeling.
  14. They should make KOTOR III with a mature rating IMHO and go for things like real dismemberment by lightsabers, have a decent kissing animation where required and don't fade to black during things like the massage in Davik's estate.
  15. I knew they'd screw over international PC users big time, we aren't worth anything at all to Micro$oft, though this'll only mean I will import the US version somewhere in march. I know a fair number of people who won't be willing to pay the additional fees for imports and will aquire this in some other fashion, and frankly if I didn't work in one of the only jobs where I can't afford to engage in alternative product aquisition so would I, if I were still in college I wouldn't give it a second thought. All that differing the US and international PC release dates will accomplish is a loss of revenue for LA Europe and probably LA in general too.
