MrBrown Posted yesterday at 09:10 AM Author Posted yesterday at 09:10 AM Very sneaky from Blizzard, new D4 expansion has 2 new classes, but you get one immediately if you pre-purchase.
MrBrown Posted yesterday at 09:39 AM Author Posted yesterday at 09:39 AM Quote Built by the team who brought you Baldur's Gate 3, Larian Studios unchains its ambitions to bring you an RPG with greater breadth & depth than ever before. At least, that’s the plan. It's good to have some self-reflection. Or sarcasm, whichever it is. Anyway, interesting that divinity.com was up for grabs. You'd think the Vatican owned it, or something.
Sarex Posted yesterday at 10:20 AM Posted yesterday at 10:20 AM (edited) This is probably my biggest hype trailer of the show. They went wild with the gameplay change. I sort of expected the brother to be the PC in the sequel, but not the gameplay shift. Unless the story telling gets much much better than the original higher production might not pens them the low budget charm the original had. What I think happened is they went to a publisher, who said "Oh, you're making a BG3-like game? Have lots of money!" All we can hope is they can use it effectively.

My guess is that they went through a list of common complaints (graphic is crap, VO amatourish, story crap) and attempt to address those 2nd time around. Let's be honest, is still doesn't look like a decent budget production. Still, I quite liked how "old school" Solasta1 felt, and I wonder how the sequel with end up. I really didn't care for the demo, while Solasta1 crowdfunding build made me a backer. I just hope that the more interesting aspects of Solasta won't get sanded off in pursuit of nicer presentation. 1
kanisatha Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Sadly, there isn't much of anything for me in these latest reveals from the Game Awards. Oh, well. Another year waiting on a good game for me. At least Solasta II is looking good, and I'll eventually get around to trying Avowed.

He think it's base game + mod fixes + some polish. At first I just couldn't get past the 20+ years old look of the game, and especially how the UIs look and function, but then I learned that it uses 3.5e rules, so I've now added it to my Steam wishlist. For some reason I was certain it was a 2e game.
