I dig the aesthetic of your designs. The multi-colored purse is my favorite.

Ironically it was the colour pattern I was most worried about how it would come out :)

Unobtrusively informing you about my new ebook (which you should feel free to read and shower with praise).

If Avowed sells well, will Michaelsoft let them spend some money to upgrade the forum infrastructure? Grounded already screwed us right proper, we're going to just be a pile of smoldering ruins if Avowed does well too.

How I have existed fills me with horror. For I have failed in everything - spelling, arithmetic, riding, tennis, golf; dancing, singing, acting; wife, mistress, whore, friend. Even cooking. And I do not excuse myself with the usual escape of 'not trying'. I tried with all my heart.

In my dreams, I am not crippled. In my dreams, I dance.

That was my understanding as well, and yet, they don't work because of there being too many damned people on mine. It's very puzzling, and I hope Michaelsoft looks into it.

As of the last few months, over an additional 1.5k apparently ;) February is already on the way to make that even more awesome imho :)

The fact the forum is still running and hasn't crashed means it is doing better than previous releases. :p

I was just making some fun. Happy that the forum is getting some foot traffic and new blood. Hopefully we get some interesting new trolls, because the good ones left and the ones we have I'm afraid aren't trolling.

For starters they need to move from AWS and get them some of that free Azure goodness. That's what I find puzzling. Like not even a discount?

I was able to log in and load posts etc just fine today, so that's a good sign re: forum performance capabilities. Although the game hasn't wide released yet. The reviewers and those who paid for early access, I think.

In other news, while generally speaking I keep to a decent food regimen, day to day, and have kept my weight low and level etc, excess sugar snacks is still a constant "addiction" I fight against all the time - and sometimes lose. 1st couple years I did really well. (edit: still off/don't need insulin tho) The past couple years I've done "all right."  Death by Costco's Kirkland macadamia-nut, chocolate/caramel clusters has more appeal all the time.  :shifty:

Heh, that's adorable. Reminds me of that one (single) time it snowed in California/Bay Area (at basically sea level, not hills/mts) when I was ... uh ... 8? A houseguest of my parents made three very tiny snowmen and stuck them in front of the planter boxes on the back deck. So i woke up and saw those.

I've been waiting for it briefly snow around here like that one more time, in my lifetime.  Hey, it could happen.

Snow is irritating, running out of space to clear it to. 20 cm this week and maybe 25 cm this weekend.  Guess will have to shovel it while it's still falling, chip away at the boulder.

Cleared snow, think we got maybe 20 cm again. Hopefully that's it, but this stuff isn't going to melt for weeks, which is interesting. Pretty sure some cars near me are going to be immobile for that period of time too

We had another light dusting of snow here, but it cleared up after a day. Looks like we're in for a warming trend, so hopefully it's back to normal now.

Hello, how are you today, I hope you are well. I am wide awake but it's that periodic and persistent moment where nothing engages, so I sits. The sun is out and I could roam the neighborhood for sights and smells but it would probably just be car exhaust and dog peed lawns, so I sits and stares instead. Maybe in a bit I will get some yummies for dinner and watch a movie, so many movies to choose from, not sure I can decide, so maybe I will just sits some more. Tomorrow I have a lot of errands/things to do, so perhaps sitting while I can is best.

Have a nice weekend.  :cat:

Trip Report!

I took the family to NYC this last week. It was the first time for all of us. My wife just turned 50, and my daughter is going off to college in the fall, so I figured this was a good reason to celebrate with a pretty big trip. It was a stretch financially, but I did my best to make it a special trip. Here are some highlights:

Skating in Central Park: We actually packed our ice skates for this trip. An entire suitcase was dedicated to bringing our hockey skates across the country. It was worth it. We got out on the Central Park rink and it was beautiful. The hole park is amazing and I ran through it every day, despite the temperature feeling like it was in the low single digits. Skating with my wife and kids was my favorite moment.

Dungeons and Dragons 20-sided Tavern: This was a fun improv show a bit off broadway. It was interactive. You chose whether you were a warrior, rogue, or wizard, and then you used your phone to vote on decisions for the party. My son really enjoyed this one. They were amazing at improv.

The Great Gatsby: I'm actually going to talk about the show on a separate thread, since it affected me more dramatically than anything else I've ever watched. But needless to say, the whole family enjoyed it and it was a perfect Broadway show. We stepped out of the matinee show and it was snowing in Manhattan, so it was a pretty magical moment.

I still feel like I barely scratched the surface of what Manhattan has to offer. We went to the Bone Museum in Brooklyn, we took the Subway, we visited the 9/11 Memorial. I ate bagels every day. But there was a lot I didn't get to. Hopefully someday we will take another shot at it. Maybe when the weather is better too. :p
