You're welcome 😛

I asked myself "What would Skazz do?" albeit after I forgot to check how to make Paladins.  Sort of ridiculous how well they wrecked the elves.  Also was funny to watch the elves use my blacksmith and marketplaces - bastards were chugging potions like mad.

Yeah, there are are some other scenarios where this may become problematic, especially when you're facing larger groups of heroes (off the top of my head: Urban Renewal in the expansion).

Fortunately, in those cases, a well-placed guardhouse near a critical vendor should work like a charm - they tend to scare away lower leveled enemy heroes.

Remnant (Free on EGS).

It's awesome!  3rd Person shooter with some RPG elements.  I'm playing as a 'Former Cultist' class which primary stat is 'spirit' which greatly augments weapon mods.

After some troubles with Grave Keepers, I was finally able to get again to the top of the Earthen Peak and fought with Baneful Queen Mytha again. This time, I've summoned Jester Thomas to see how the fight changes with an NPC summon. Again, this was big help, and I was able to defeat her on the first try. Still got few overhead smashes from her, which nearly KO me 😄

I guess I need to work on the well placed bit, settled on surrounding it with a hexagon of towers, hah.  Breezed through the scenario with the slave pits, the ratman assault after the second pit did almost catch me out though.

Still #1 in the league, 10 games left and a 4 point lead so maybe Brno will win the league.  Game's upping its efforts to screw me, injuries for random reasons.  Match Engine in FM games is always such bunk, pretty sure the game determines the scoreline in advance 😛

Got started again on NieR Automata, still quite a ways to go before catching up to where I was before my savegame accident (which is just after "the signal").

Forgot how terrible I am with controllers and that the tutorial was this horribly long punishing thing where a death means a do-over. That wasn't fun. Got it second timer around by just spamming dodge, like a "pro" :D

Oh, and that the PC port is an abandoned technical piece of crap. They're lucky the game is good.

Anyway, back to exploring the desert. Need to grfind some levels since I ran into a boss double my level. Didn't quite like my odds with that one... ;)

The next in line were Belfry Gargoyles. Due to me finding out, they drop Covetous Gold Serpent Ring+2 😛 First attempt was fine, I just messed up with last two gargoyles up, and the next two were me finding out, how to not make alive a lot of gargoyles at once, because my Soul Spear and Soul Geyser hit most of the time two or three gargoyles at once. This makes other to awaken, and at some point I had 4 gargoyles running around trying to fry my ass 😄 After getting it done, my 4th attempt were finally successful, although I ended up with 2% of HP at the end of fight 😄 Whole fight was just under 2 minutes :)

I started Beyond a Steel Sky, the sequel 26 years in the making.

The intro cinematic is done in a comic book panel style, but with limited motion and full voice over. There was a part where the panel, speech bubbles and all was panning across the screen and the text was not moving in-sync with the rest of the panel, making it seem like it was vibrating. Also, the framerates occasionally take a hard dip. Those could be Linux specific issues, I guess. Luckily, those issues haven't marred the experience for me.

Once the intro is over, the game switches to a 3rd person view and it looks really good. The character models, backgrounds, and animations are all very well done. The comic book panels look fine, but I wish they had done the intro with the 3D graphics, because they look better than the comics, to be honest.

All the voice acting has been high quality so far and I've already grown attached to some characters, and I'm just getting started.

I'm having a blast so far and, even as a point n click grognard, I really dig the feel of the game in 3rd person. I hope that if they make another Broken Sword that they adopt the 3rd person perspective for it.

The next in line in my DS2 encounters was Smelter Demon. Not very hard, but the way to him was full of black phantom surprises on absolutely unexpected places 😄 Few times, I’ve had to check my chair for brown substance leaks 😄 Anyway, fight little bit over 1 and half minutes, which goal was to see Lucatiel staying alive for her character quest. And it was successful 🙂

And after Smelter Demon, I went almost immediately after the Old Iron King. This time only three attempts, one of the again roll into the lava pool while dodging his attack 😄 In NG+ much relaxing fight than in NG for me. 3 and half minutes, including intro 😛

Been hooked on Flight Simulator all week. I mean gameplay is pretty boring but the graphics though...

Everything wrong with PC gaming... 😛

Got Brno to 2nd place, got shafted in playoffs. Decided I'd had enough of that crap team and am managing Cagliari now, is sort of refreshing to be able to actually have money for players

I did keep the Brno save, is a challenge for sure.  Maybe will play it as well as Cagliari, if we're in Europa that means money...in theory.

After clearing Iron Keep, I went back to Shaded Woods. As always the goat-lion hybrids with axe made me a lot of troubles. The only way how to effectively fight them was fishing for backstabs... Anyway, Scorpioness Najka went fine on first try just little bit over 2 minutes long fight, but I am just sad, I was not able to lure her to hit me from underground to get the Flame Butterfly item on the dead tree. No chance for 100% walkthrough this time around 😢

I'm the enemy, 'cause I like to think, I like to read. I'm into freedom of speech, and freedom of choice. I'm the kinda guy that likes to sit in a greasy spoon and wonder, "Gee, should I have the T-bone steak or the jumbo rack of barbecue ribs with the side-order of gravy fries?" I want high cholesterol! I wanna eat bacon, and butter, and buckets of cheese, okay?! I wanna smoke a Cuban cigar the size of Cincinnati in the non-smoking section! I wanna run naked through the street, with green Jell-O all over my body, reading Playboy magazine. Why? Because I suddenly may feel the need to, okay, pal? I've SEEN the future. Beyond a Steel Sky is the most fun Ive had with a point n click since Thimbleweed Park, it's really well done. You get a hacking tool early on which is used in a bunch of puzzles, but you can also use it just for shenanigans. I love me some shenanigans. Also, varied and interesting characters make all the difference. Also also

it's really good to have Joey back.

Trying out Total War Troy. The problem is, I am not a fan of Total War games in general.

Unobtrusively informing you about my new ebook (which you should feel free to read and shower with praise).

Did a replay of The Outer Wilds. It's still great, but some of the magic is lost when you know how to do everything and go everywhere from the beginning. It's rather great that the game is ultimately only gated by knowledge, even if it hurts the replay.

I've played a lot of Popup Dungeon. Kind of addicted, might make a campaign for it based off an old story of mine.

And working my way through Tales of Monkey Island again. It was once my favorite game, so it deserves the revisit. First episode reminds me of why I liked it a bit.

Playing Planet Coaster a bit, to pass time, I am not good at coaster design, so will stick to my day job.  Not a bad game though, the management aspects are interesting even if the UI is a not intuitive for me.

Playing NieR Automata, almost done with the first "chapter" but got trashed by, what I can only assume, is the last boss (of ending A, anyway).

Spoiler

Crippling the player was really cheap, honestly, and given how long of a slog that entire fight was I just closed the game instead of going through all that again.

At least my hands aren't hurting yet, unlike with Remember Me, which I just gave up on as that game physically hurt my hands. I'd like to think I'm getting used to controllers more, but given that I avoid them except for racing games I can't really fathom when that would have happened...

Total War:

I offer to join another kingdom in their war against a third faction.

They demand I pay them all my resources in exchange for accepting my aid...

So I simply declared war on the other faction and laid siege to their city without "helping".

Just to post here something completely different for sim racers, if some of them are still here. In Assetto Corsa, I was able to get over the hardest challenge for me in car sims so far... When I started to run GRA Challenge, I was more than 5 seconds behind time for Gold Medal, and it took me more than 2:15 hours to be able to run one more or less perfect lap to be able to run for required time... I just am unable to imagine, how I would run this challenge before the patch, which needed 1 second faster time to gold the hotlap... That would be probably above my skills :(

Anyway if you are into that kind of things, enjoy the Silverstone GP time trial with one of the iconic DTM cars of the past :)
