March 17, 20205 yr Are there any consequences on embarking on a pirate's life across the Deadfire Archipelago?
March 17, 20205 yr If you fly a pirate flag, other ships are more likely to be hostile to you, but since you're going to plunder them anyway, that shouldn't matter too much. As for the story itself, I'm not sure, but I'm almost certain there are no consequences: Obsidian wouldn't make you unable to finish the game.
March 17, 20205 yr Ahoy hoy matey! Go shiver some timbers! You have inspired me to get on with the game again, I think I will make a selfish pirate character. Edited March 17, 20205 yr by daven nowt
March 17, 20205 yr Yes, you can get hunted on the world map by the factions you plundered - but you can also fly under false flag so that's convenient. Deadfire Community Patch: Nexus Mods
March 17, 20205 yr Factions don't get mad at you for attacking their ships, whether you board or broadside. I guess it's something privateering, maritime law blah blah. I don't know, but they don't get mad. They do get mad if you intimidate their ships, however. March 18, 20205 yr It wrecks havoc on your conscience until you're doubting your own humanity. Are you really a good guy irl or just an evil ahole thats too afraid or incompetent to break the laws? That, my friend, is why i always play paladins and rangers.
