People liked it back in the days. Personally, I've tried it some years later and just couldn't get into it. Felt kinda clunky.

I loved it when it was released, I've never played it in modern days. People are saying, that the XIII Remake is worse than the original, even if it is outdated. I clicked on it, based on my nostalgia from the old days. I plan to replay this one sooner than later for sure.

I'd buy XCOM 1 just for the sake of having it on GOG if it were that price, but alas, only 80% is not good enough.

Interesting. I started using Galaxy this last year and even bought a couple new games through them, instead of just classics, so I supposed I am part of the growth. Although the low refund rate is interesting, because it seems much harder to get a refund from them compared to Steam.

Most of the complaints I've seen about GOG's refund policy were from people trying to game the system. Always amusing when someone with a public profile complains about not getting a refund for a game they've played for 50 hours. The exception would be around C2077's release, where support in general was snowed under.

A low refund rate shouldn't be all that surprising for a curated store, as at least in theory that eliminates people refunding because the game simply doesn't work. A lot of people also use steam's refund system in lieu of a trial/ demo version of games which obviously cannot be the case for a drm free system.

Same. It was also my fault because I bought a game and had a Mac.  The game works for Mac but not their version.

Basically could have stopped after "it's my fault because I had a mac"

I've only ever refunded my Bloodlines 2 pre-order. It was pretty simple and quick but not click one or two buttons easy like I expected.

I should clarify, it just didn't seem like it is very simple to engage in the refund process. I am glad to hear they solve the tickets in a timely manner, but it seems like you have to go from galaxy to a browser, and then submit a request through support. I've yet to ask for a refund, although I regret not doing it for Rome: Imperator in a timely manner.

Steam is a bit more clear cut and simple in that regard.

I think it's white westernism at play here.

Content should be king.  Even if you buy a game you don't like, your funds are lost in the Matrix and you gracefully move on to other affairs.

Well for me, if a company has customer friendly refund system, it usually means, they are confident with quality of their products, and do not need to hide behind shady business practices to make a profit

With this I agree, the process could be more intuitive. But as I said, since 2012 (I think) when I joined GOG, it was my first refund, and I found the way for refunding with few clicks.

Janosik is a well known folk legend in Poland too. I remember him in movies and TV shows.
