Now now, there are 'only' 84 of them. They do have dlc bundles for this release, with EUIV you had to choose manually. Amazingly, the discounts on the bundles are actually progressive (albeit slightly) so, uh, the more you buy the more you save.

And you can get them all with a 60% discount for a low, low price of 101.49 euro! It's like Sims!

I was hyped, when I saw, that PDX finally released CKII on GOG, but 100+EUR for a game, which was initially released in 2012... no way... As I know myself, I would be willing to give 30-50 bucks for the full game from 2018, but that is over the top pricing...

That is 100€* for a load of unnecessary guff like portraits and music (though I do like the music). It's 60 odd for the gameplay dlcs. And to be scrupulously fair, the base game is pretty decent by itself from what I remember from ten years ago.

And some of the gameplay DLC is eminently skippable too. Just about everyone skips Sunset Invasion, the fantasy scenario of an Aztec invasion of Europe. I personally disable Jade Dragon too because despite what the name suggests, it doesn't really add China, but only a silly and unbalanced off-map abstraction of it. Besides that, Rajas of India is very niche, and Horse Lords only marginally less so, get them only if you plan to play in those regions.

Of the DLCs that add new bookmarks to the game, Charlemagne adds a new one a century earlier (769) than the Old Gods (867), but it's a very unbalanced game state that I recommend against playing. Note by default the game used to start no earlier than 1066 which made Old Gods the most popular DLC to extend gameplay, but just about the last thing added to the game (alongside Holy Fury) was a new bookmark of 936 which is one of the most interesting starts and in my mind is the better choice.

Big news on GOG. SEGA just released first 7 Like a Dragon/Yakuza games on GOG. You can get them all for 33EUR, which is IMHO borderline crimimal steal for few hundreds of hours of unique fun in one of the best (if not the best) open world designed series ever.

Also, new giveaway. Old school isometric RPG Eschalon Book 2 is up for grabs for next few dozens hours.

Do I get to pick which ancient enemy I get? Maybe it's selected by culture. I'm Polish so would I be given Holy Roman Empire for free? The entire HRE might be a bit much. Maybe just the Duchy of Bohemia.
