Alright, so I've been having this bug since the release of the Public Beta Test. Whenever I load the game up, the top portion of grass / mushroom walls re-appear through the walls / floor above it. This is what it looks like after reloading a save : As you may have noticed, the top portion of the walls have respawned through the wall above it. Not sure what to do about this, it's infuriating

The Lone Polymath is now available at the Deadfire Nexus. This adds a trinket (and an identical ring for grimoire lovin' wizards) intended to help those soloing tackle skill checks without the benefit of party assist. I really want to do an item that instead multiplies skills, but there's no "SkillMult" or "SkillAllMult" status effect types that I'm aware of (trying to add a skill's value to itself resulted in numerous violations of the time/space continuum and shan't be discussed further here ). The Lone Polymath is a cheat and/or a tool. It's ridiculously overpowered and yet not really enough. Do with it as you will. Thanks to @peardox for the post in which numerous function names were revealed, including Boolean IsAnyCompanionActiveInParty() which is exactly what I was looking for. (As anyone who has been crestfallen at how the "loner" ability of some items are defeated by the simple addition of a pet or animal companion has indirectly learned, the Boolean IsAllyCount(Guid, Single, Operator, Int32) function has no filter.)

Update by Brandon Adler, Lead Producer Hey, everybody. We have a small update with a big announcement today. We are also going to do a spotlight on two of our new creatures from The White March - Part II. Be on the lookout for our next update where we will feature our new companion. The White March - Part II Early Next Year We have some great news for all of you fans that have been waiting for the second part of The White March expansion. Vithrack Brutes and Luminaries In the second part of the expansion we are introducing a larger slice of vithrack culture. Players will encounter brutes and luminaries, two distinct classes of vithrack. While brutes build and feed the colony, luminaries are its scholars and historians. Both varieties can be formidable foes for adventurers who encroach upon their territory. Vithrack Brute Vithrack Luminary Pillars of Eternity Official Soundtrack The Pillars of Eternity official soundtrack is now available for purchase at your favorite digital music retailer. It's also available on streaming music services - like Spotify. If you would like to download a track (or the whole album) head over to Amazon or iTunes and grab a copy. Short StoriesIn our last update we showed off our first short story, The Ratcatcher. This time, we have a new batch of short stories to share with you. Blood Register Available Now! While conducting a census of rural Dyrwood, Neolas a public servant and his elven bodyguard Gacgen take their assignment into the wilderness of Eir Glanfath: one seeking his family of birth, the other to cure an epidemic. Tensions within the town boil over at a religious harvest festival known as Gaun's Reaping, and Edér is forced to take sides among neighbors and old friends. Until He Started Screaming To be released soon. Novice wizard Aloth Corfiser is shackled to a patron he can't abide and an Awakened soul he can't silence. He finds unexpected allies among a student group of spellwrights, but what he learns about them--and what they ask of him--threatens the entire academy. Update by Brandon Adler, Lead Producer Hey, everyone. I have some exciting news for you today. The White March, the expansion for Pillars of Eternity, has released its first part and you can find it on Steam, GOG, and Origin. In this update we will explain how to redeem your rewards from the Backer Portal and show you some of the cool companions, areas, and features from the expansion. Let's not waste any time. The White March - Part I Obsidian has released the first half of the Pillars of Eternity expansion, The White March! It is now available on Steam, GOG, and Origin. For those of you that may not know a lot about our expansion, let me talk about some of the details and highlights: The White March - Part I takes place in the harsh, frozen frontiers north of the Dyrwood. Word of Durgan's Battery and its buried treasures (including Durgan's Steel) has made its way back to the Watcher of Caed Nua. We have two new companions in the expansion: Zahua, a scarred, drug-addicted monk who thinks pain is the true path to enlightenment. The Devil of Caroc, a construct with the soul of a murderer infused inside. The expansion adds in a special class of items called soulbound weapons. These weapons have powerful (and unique) enchantments that become more powerful as their wielder levels up. You can now set your companions to use AI so you don't have to spend as much time managing their actions. Each class has special AI packages that are unique to those classes and we will be added in additional AI packages in the future. The AI for enemies has also been improved. Party members can now go into individual stealth. This allows some part members to be stealthed while other members are not. This is particularly useful in positioning party members for upcoming battles or sneaking by small groups of enemies. You may now retrain your party members to modify their attributes, skills, and abilities. Now you can try out new builds quickly and easily. Redeeming the Expansion Note: The expansion is not part of the Hero, Champion, or Royal bundles. The expansion was part of Kickstarter tiers at $165 and above. If you are a backer, but did not get the expansion bundled in your tier you will have to purchase it from Steam or GOG seperately. We have now released Steam and GOG keys to all qualifying backers on the Backer Portal. If the expansion was a part of your Kickstarter tier or if you purchased it as a separate add-on, you can redeem your game and get your key just like any other reward on our Backer Portal. You can find the specific redemption instructions here under the "Steps to Redeem Your Items" section. DRKN Clothing Over the past few months Obsidian has been working with DRKN, a premiere clothing manufacturer, to come up with some cool pieces of clothing that takes inspiration from Pillars of Eternity. We are happy to announce that they have finished their first few pieces and you'll get the first crack at them. In addition to high-quality clothing, you also get a digital copy of the Campaign Almanac with your purchase. What are you waiting for? You can get your Pillars-inspired clothing here. PAX Panel If any of you are headed to PAX Prime this weekend, you should stop by the Hydra Theater at 3:00 PM on Saturday to catch our Pillars of Eternity retrospective panel. It's going to be filled with stories about our successes, our failures, and how it is shaping our future development. Also, we will give a sneak peek into our thoughts for future Pillars of Eternity products. If you are unable to make it to PAX, not to worry. We will be streamed live on the official PAX Twitch channel for those that can't be there. That's it for now. Have fun exploring the harsh wilderness of The White March!

How can I get on a notification list for the beta and/or the release of this product? My job and family life prevents me from scouring the Internet to find factoids/interesting developments without some kind of time scale. I just want some way to subscribe with an email address so I don't miss it. My son and I love the PACG board game variant (our favorite board game out of ~300 I have on the shelf), but due to the setup time, don't play as often as we might otherwise. This would totally resolve that issue for us, and perhaps even double or triple our adventure shenanigans. Thanks to everyone involved. Kevin

Couldn't find the appropriate topic on the subject, but I was thinking just how long a game of this scope might take to produce. In my opinion, it will be no less than two years, which is unfortunate since there's a few games that I would want more than a BG/PT/IWD spiritual successor. Truthfully I shouldn't think about this game because upon realizing the production hasn't even stared yet makes me want to forget I even know of its existence
