Well like it or not, the EU is canon. Well, most of it, apart from the blatantly apocryphical and ridiculous stuff. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Er... it may be "canon" in the grand scheme of things, but ultimately official Lucas Star Wars stuff is only canon if Lucas says so, which limits it usually to the movies and some other small exceptions (like I heard the clone wars cartoon shorts are also considered canon to Lucas). LOL yes... John Williams has a lot of overlapping themes in his soundtracks, whether he means to or not. There's a load of similarities between his Indiana Jones and SW tracks, just for starters. The track used is "Across the Stars", the anakin/padme love theme from Episode II I was originally going to try and make a video with this audio mix (like a montage of the events related to his dialogue) but most of the time there weren't enough interesting shots... and I didn't want it all to be of him just talking back and forth to her, since the character animations are really recycled.

Ahhh, I saw that episode! RS was the cousin of the guy who thought aliens were after him. I remember his character was kinda tragic and I had felt bad for him. His voice was very "Carth" in that one...

Yeah, I agree. If they're trying to make it like Empire Strikes Back, then the cut stuff would've heightened the story and left the gamer wanting more, just like Empire did. As it stands now, TSL made gamers wonder about what had happened (the ending) instead of what was going to happen (the future), which I think was what they were going for. They got the wrong reaction. For example, in Empire, you were left wondering "how are they going to save Han?", not "what happened to Luke?" or "how did Leia and those guys escape?", because those latter questions were addressed correctly. In TSL, you still have that "will the Exile find Revan?", but it's overcome by the stronger "where the heck did my allies go...?" and "how did I even get the ship functioning and out of there?"

Hehehe, glad you liked it. :D To be a devil's advocate, though, if I made a mix of almost any character, I could probably make it seem like they were heavily important... but I do agree with you that (whether people like Carth or not) he's an important part of the story... at least for people playing off the LS Revan storyline, and people who made Revan LS for the game seem pleased overall with the Carth bonuses scattered throughout it. This game seems to be hinting that the developers favored the LS female story above the other options (with Atton suggesting that Revan was female before you tell him yes/no, how the DS explanation of Revan leaving doesn't work quite as well, and the more fleshed out emotions of the romance), and hopefully whoever makes the 3rd game will build on that and add some closure to it as well.

Yeah, I noticed his voice when I played the Commando demo... Also, I know exactly the Judging Amy episode you're talking about! After reading that, I did a search on my tivo for the episode (called "Human Touch") and apparently it'll actually be playing on the 16th on the Hallmark channel. Anyone who likes his voice might be interested to see his acting as well. :D If they ever did a live-action Carth (they won't of course) he'd be perfect.

Hehe, from reading the Female Romance thread, I got to thinking about the progression of Carth's dialogue from kotor1 through 2, and I made a little sort of tribute audio piece for anyone interested in him. The music used is the love theme from Episode II, which I actually think is the most ideal theme for Carth. It's very beautiful, emotional and bittersweet, just like him. :"> I think it proves that Carth's way more the loverboy than Atton, at least in terms of being up front with his feelings.... I still love Atton too, though.

I did this one just today, but I'm a bit too lazy to ink/color it at the moment.... definitely one for the ladies (or some men :D ): This is really the only full-color art I'll be able to do for a while (have to stop drawing KOTOR stuff and actually do my assignments ), but I made a little desktop wallpaper for all my fellow Carth and Atton fangirls... or hey, guys might like it too. It comes in two varieties: Two-toned and regular color :sigh: I wish Carth could've been a jedi... In any case, I have a larger version of the two-toned one on my desktop at the moment. ^_^ Just to prove I love Atton, I've prepared a manga wallpaper for any other Atton lovers out there: It could kinda work as a 2 page comic spread, but I'm not working on an Atton story, so there goes that. <_< I've been really inspired by the wonderful sketches lately, and I was thinking about Atton's cut death scene (well who hasn't?). I thought wouldn't it be interesting if Atton's death put Exile over the edge and made her go all DS, wanting revenge? Sort of like Anakin in AOTC... So I did a little quick sketch (well had to be quick since it's 3 am and I'm tired ): my Exile model there...

You can actually just force the door open by cheating. I had used GO-TO and clicked on the security icon on the door's options repeatedly, and even though the screen tried fading to black because of the hounds guarding it, the door opened anyway.

That thread was mentioned today on the Penny Arcade site, which is nice since there'll be new faces exposed to the topic. That also explains why there's so many more guests than usual viewing the forum, hehe.

You know... I just realized that Revan and Carth basically sacrificed the droids and Canderous whether they wanted to die or not. Those guys go with you to the Forge and don't escape on the Hawk... Never thought about that before..

I was thinking about how Atton can be made DS in kotor 2 but how you never got the chance to make Carth DS in kotor 1. It would've been so interesting to be able to turn him... or perhaps what if he couldn't handle his emotions and actually became dark if Revan got killed in the Outer Rim?
