  1. No, it isn't. The Sith warships we see a lot in KOTOR1 and again in KOTOR2 at Telos have a curved underside. The Ravager is more triangular, like a Star Destroyer. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, I actually thought it WAS a star destroyer upon first viewing it... lol, I was thinking "man, guess you don't mess with a good design... even after several centuries?".
  2. You can see Carth, but only as a holovid from T3. In it, he tells T3 he's still going to try and save Revan from herself and that, if he fails (which he sadly does later), for T3 to get help.
  3. There is a mod that restores the DS ending... unfortunately it's piled together with a bunch of other mods, but you can choose to not install the other plugins if all you want is the DS ending: http://members.shaw.ca/t7nowhere/mod_hlpn.htm There's a bit of an error with the mod... Once you install the plugin, there will be a folder in C:\Program Files\LucasArts called SWKotORlips. Copy the STUNT_56b_loc.mod file from there to C:\Program Files\LucasArts\SWKotOR\lips to fix the problem. After that, enjoy! I loaded up a savegame where I had just beat Malak, and the Carth ending played beautifully.
  4. He basically reveals how he's been waiting for Revan to return for four years. He stayed behind for the Republic's sake only because Revan asked him to, and he did it because he loved her. He goes over very briefly how they met, and then how she had felt compelled to leave to finish something she remembered from her past. As a last request before you leave, he asks that if you find Revan to tell her that he is still waiting for her. It's a very touching scene... sorta inspired me to start illustrating it. Also, if you repair T3 to the max, there is a holovid of Carth asking T3 to try and help Revan and to come back for help if something goes wrong. You can also get this holovid if you chose Revan to be DS, but he'll instead say that he's going to try to save her from herself and that if he fails, he'll need T3 to go get help. The DS message is obviously before he gets killed (or dies with Revan in the cut ending), so that one's kinda sad. ;_;
  5. Huh, interesting... but why didn't they post that here?
  6. I should probably start a separate thread, but I'm too lazy... so for anyone interested in my previous art on this thread, I have a page from the Carth manga I was tinkering with. Only pencil at the moment, but it'll look more finished later:
  7. Beating the K1 romance will be hard... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, even moreso with how K2 adds to the K1 romance... I mean, it sounded like Carth was just starting to get comfy with the whole love thing by the end (LS ending), but in K2 he cares about Revan exponentially more. With T3's recording of him and his own request from you about Revan, he's got a very touching/bittersweet/desperate love thing going on. And since Kreia lies that whole thing may not have been true anyway " I agree tho the male romance even tho wasnt as good as the first was still a lot better than the female..... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Kreia (the bastard) never gives you a straight answer, but there are at least several moments when it's obvious he loves you... when the Exile isn't there to witness them, anyway. One is when he nags Bao-Dur about whether he'd have a chance with the Exile, the other is when he's jealous of the Exile meditating with Disciple and Mira suspects something's up. Then of course you have that "I saw her first" line that I can't seem to get since my influence with him is too high.
  8. thanks... actually I drew it :"> I posted some other art in my other thread http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?sh...29entry285157
  9. I haven't noticed any LS transitions, unless they're really subtle or something, other than the character having pure unblemished skin... then again even if you're a grey jedi you have that.
  10. Just to see what kind of face changes I could get, I decided to go massively DS.... and apparently everyone gets old. Anyone else noticed this? The arrangement of veins and marks around the eyes and jaw made a lot of characters look like they were aged. Plus everyone's skin starts paling, as well as their eyes for some reason... I thought maybe their eyes might've started turning red or something, but nah. Disciple looks particularly old, since his blond hair goes stark white, lol... Kinda cracked me up, though. I think in the first game, the veins were more all over the place and spidery, plus the eyes got really creepy and yellowish, and the pupils themselves started splitting. I hadn't gotten the impression Revan was aging, just that she looked pretty icky.
  11. It's "girl", but thanks! :D
  12. That would be my assumption. I can't imagine a woman would find it romantic to say "I love you, Disciple." <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not only that, but his gigantic teeth drive me nuts... can't he file those down or something?
  13. YES, that happened to me too!! In the palace, Tobin was a moron and charged the big beast and got killed in like one hit... and then for whatever reason all of a sudden he's on the Ravager later on, with DS veins/marks at that. wtf? Then I killed him. Stay dead!
  14. True. Did you read Gaider's own ending to the Carth/Revan thing? A bit melodramatic, but very satisfying.
  15. From scratch... I couldn't remember what Carth's outfit looked like, so that's why they're just headshots, lol.
  16. lol, yeah :"> I drew some kotor stuff during class the other day and decided to scan them: After I finish my major assignments, I was going to try and do 2 short mangas, one about Carth talking about Revan, and the other where Atton dies.
  17. LOL I was the same way... Vrook was the only jedi I was eager to kill. I felt awful about getting stuck being part of Vaklu's death squad, and never wanted to kill the other jedi. The other thing was, other than getting a cool messed-up face, there didn't seem to be any outstanding perk to being DS, especially when I could do DS moves as LS without penalty as long as my charisma was high enough. KoTOR was interesting because Carth was actually the reason I stayed LS. I really cared about the character, and when he was disappointed in my DS actions, I felt bad and usually fixed it, lol. I just didn't want him mad at me. :">
  18. I think at this point, if there was even a slight chance of getting them to do this, their only incentive to do it would be if they profited from doing so. I would certainly be willing to pay for an expansion if it restored everything we know to be missing. If they made the cutscenes, did the animation, restored the dialogue, and maybe had a movie clip or something, then you'd definitely be getting your money's worth. There's no way a company (or at least one tied to LA) will spend extra time/effort on freebie stuff for gamers. (and I'm not talking about normal patches, since those only fix bugs... I mean, new plot/content)
  19. Force wave, but I think Storm is more effective in this case... as a lightsider I made sure to add to my Charisma so I could get away with using DS powers almost exclusively. :D
  20. I tried that line and she makes me close my eyes, but she keeps telling me about T3 welding on the ship, and then it ends. Hmm... damn I might have to replay quite a bit to hear that... I always had their influences maxed out, which I guess would make them equal. Yes, I could easily sift through those files, but there's something more fulfilling about getting it in-game. Can't explain... but seeing Atton say it is more rewarding to me. My videocard is an ATI All-in-Wonder 9800, which unfortunately is pricey... you could probably get an NVidia card for cheap though...
  21. Yeah, I was pretty DS about the whole Dantooine thing... I killed Vrook, and helped Azkul wipe out everyone. heh... I have a feeling stupid Vrook will have to live if I don't want to kill Kavar.... Also, I used the movie viewer to see the DS ending... wasn't much better... actually had less to it, if that's even possible.
  22. Hmm... perhaps I need to already be heavily DS to trigger that? I'm like one tiny step into the DS red bar, but everytime I try to act cold and tell her to die, she just falls over and dies and I get the LS ending.
  23. Well, there's the respawning Hssis thing in the Revan flashback. There's a dead jedi corpse in a room. Every time you click on it, about 3 hsiss spawn... so you can gain a level really fast by clicking on it about 15 times, and then Force Storming the whole room. My character had a lot of FP regen stats, so my FP was always full and I just repeated this for about 15 minutes and got my Marauder to like 24.
  24. Oops, that's "The latter half OF the game"... sorry, typo. Okay, I just finished the game last night, albeit in a very disorganized manner. I started LS, went DS to kill Vrook (who I've hated since the first game) and then accidentally stayed DS by siding with Vaklu (I thought I was going to get a way to doublecross them ) therefore killing Kavar ( )... then attempted to go LS again, but am not sure whether I actually achieved that at the end. I had some things I was pondering that I'd like to share with you guys. Some things have been brought up, others might not have... Questions: The cutscenes triggered upon entering the Ebon Hawk... are they random for the most part, or triggered by LS/DS shifts, or which planet you're on something? Because I've heard people discussing certain characters talking with each other, and I wasn't able to get those. -- I never got Atton's "play Pazaak in your head" dialogue... was that if you were LS, or how did people get that? -- I read a line someone posted here about Atton telling Disciple something to the effect of "I saw her, and I saw her first" but never got that.. Does the ending really change if you're DS or LS? In mine, the Hawk escaped the planet as it broke apart and sailed into the unknown. I have no idea if that was DS or LS because I kept flip-flopping the sides throughout the game. Gripes/Regrets: Locked into DS-- I got a bit annoyed that I was forced into a DS path once I sided with Vaklu, and couldn't get an option to back out of the deal. I had mistakenly thought this situation might end up like the double-doublecross event on Korriban in KOTOR, and things went downhill from there. I had intended to agree to Vaklu simply to infiltrate his ranks, but no dice. I didn't want to kill Kavar, but I had no dialogue options to get out of it. It would've been cool if they allowed you the willpower to back out of things or have a change of heart. I mean, how cool would that be to say to Vaklu "oh heh, guess what? I wasn't really siding with you after all!" and then beat him. the Ending-- Ok, ok, so the "flying off into the unknown" was very ESB, and I get that... but it didn't have to be THAT abrupt. Even in ESB's end, you see who's in the ship and it lingers a bit more. What was some warped kind of tease though was being able to control Mira and remote, but never seeing the others. I know what probably would have happened (believe me, I know, after editing all that dialogue ) but in some ways I would've preferred it to be an all or nothing deal... either let me handle all their fates, or leave them all out. You can't do halfsies here. And the ship... wtf? Ok you get it into minor scuffles and it takes Atton hours to repair, but you get it bashed to hell on Malachor and it flies off in less time, completely repaired?? Even the superficial damage (which looked major in the scene when it falls into the pit) is gone in the scene where it narrowly escapes the green planet explosions. Kreia and the "fool"-- Ok Kreia, you're a fricking fool. She called Atton this so many times I wanted to rip her head off. Atton obviously isn't a fool, and especially isn't one once he starts trying to make things right again, yet Kreia calls him that even at the end when I wanted to hear her say he loved me. <_< If anyone should've been called a fool, it should've been Disciple, for blindly following me, and yet Kreia doesn't notice this. As Obi-Wan said "who's the more foolish: the fool or the fool who follows him?" Disciple is, dammit. Observations: Nihulus-- The whole Darth Nihilus thing reminds me of Darth Maul from EP 1... when he first appeared, everyone was like "ohhh sh*t! He's gonna be bad-ass!" ... and then when he does finally appear before the main characters, he's gone in like 5 min flat. <_< Atton's redemption-- If you choose him as the leader of the Freedom Nadd team and make him reject those DS pools in the tomb, he has a nice bit of dialogue when you meet him later about the experience. I liked how it seemed he was on the road to conquering his demons, even if it was just a small step. Carth!-- Hearing Carth tell me about Revan made me love Carth all over again. Even Kreia mentions their sad love at the end. I hope there's some kind of reunion or closure to that in K3. I want them to be happy. Hard to turn back-- Anyone else notice how hard it was after a certain point to change your alignment? There were a ton of options in the first half of the game, and then halfway through, I couldn't find enough chances to change it. I wanted to be a LS-aligned Sith Marauder, but couldn't get enough LS chances to do it. Oh, and killing Vrook was satisfying. VERY satisfying. That jerk's had it coming... I just wish that I could've killed him and not had to kill the others. And the floating lightsabers thing... LMAO... I dunno wtf the developers were on when they made that, but when I saw that, I involuntarily started laughing.
  25. No, that's the scene between Disciple and Atton...
