  1. So if I didn't get any Atton/Mira banter the first time around, it might unlock itself in a future game? That's so evil of them... ;_; I didn't want to have to start over from scratch (I didn't like Peragus much), I was gonna reload a save to try things from a DS pov. Ah hell...
  2. lol, well at least it's obvious that Atton loves you, even if Kreia calls him a fool for the 125,234,981st time. You'd think she'd call the Disciple a fool considering his near-blind loyalty, but noooo....
  3. Oh that whole folder is GREAT... lol.. I have heard the first couple of files in the folder in-game (files 4001-4009), but I dunno how to trigger the rest.
  4. Ah, you beat me to it! I was going to post about comparing the soundtracks too. I'm not really disappointed in K2's soundtrack, but I do like K1's more. K1's music had a lot of catchy recurring themes (I personally like the Sith theme the most, with its chanting and all), and reminded me more of how John Williams also likes to have recurring strong themes as well. It was like SW music in that respect. K2 was very SW with how its instruments sounded more real than some of the more synthesized intruments in K1's music. K1 could sound a bit videogamey at times, where K2 sounded more or less like a movie all the time. Unfortunately, a lot of the music isn't really contrasty enough and as someone mentioned earlier, many themes tended to blend together so you didn't get the same "ohh that's the Taris theme" kind of reaction as I did in K1. So, basically, I liked K1's catchiness and K2's orchestral feel. It's too bad these couldn't be combined somehow... maybe for K3? Y'know, I know in the music folder it's labelled "mus_theme_Bast" (Bastila) for that theme, but I had actually always associated that with Carth, since the first time you hear it is in the beginning when you're in the Taris apartment and he's talking with you.
  5. YES, I was JUST thinking the same thing earlier today! I thought I had missed some quest or something that would've given me access to there.
  6. lol... yeah, I'd like some female-specific moments where Atton would stand up for you, maybe like in KoTOR1 where Carth threatens to punch out that miner dude in the Tatooine cantina (who was cheating on his wife) if he doesn't speak to you more respectfully.
  7. He makes like 2 or 3 for you, then I think you're on your own after that. That's like in KoTOR1 where everyone who gives you something (Canderous and his stimulants, Jolee and his medkit, Zalbar and his grenade) only gives you one... after that you get a statement from them saying you don't need any more at the moment.
  8. I totally agree. Although I wouldn't really want Atton to die, having his death scene in the game would've made a definite romance statement... but even then, they didn't give the Exile any real romantic options to respond to him (I know her "You never needed to tell me, Atton, I knew" line reminds me of a lengthier version of Han Solo's "I know", but that's not really good enough). That would have been the perfect opportunity to tell him how she felt, and perhaps give him a bittersweet kiss before he fades away. They needed to give the Exile more romance-related statement options throughout the game that would have forced Atton to either willingly or unwillingly reveal his feelings... because he sure ain't gonna bust out with those a la Carth. Granted, I'm only about halfway through as an LS female, but for some reason I feel that the Carth/Revan pairing (as light as it was) had a lot more flirty-ness to it. I mean, Atton has his moments every now and then (talking about your outfit on Peragus, asking Bao what he thinks of his chances with you, etc). Heh, I mean being able to call Carth a hairless wookie and have the situation play out in a Han/Leia bantering kinda way without losing his favor was pretty fun... teasing him when he gets flustered about praising you, etc. I can't seem to get as risky with my dialogue with Atton, not without losing influence, anyway. Atton does seem to have a lot of instances where he shows affection or concern, and I interpreted that as him liking me... until I read your post and realized he might say pretty much the same thing to the male Exile.. . But maybe that's what happens when you have a character as emotionally/mentally scarred as he is. The whole chameleon act with his feelings probably does a number on himself as well, and it makes him a lot more indirect about things. Carth may have come off as "whiney", but that's because he spoke his mind, from his heart... Perhaps if Atton hadn't been so messed up, he could have done the same and been a lot more forthcoming with his feelings.
  9. Yeah, I tried going through that file myself, but whenever I open it with Notepad, it seriously hangs up my computer, so I sorta gave up after a while. LOL, I had the exact same experience. That was another reason to add the saber sound effects to put it in context, otherwise those noises start getting very disturbing indeed.
  10. Ah, my secrets... There's not much to tell, really. I'm a film student and do a lot of editing, so I have Adobe Premiere on my computer, and use that to edit my sounds. I use multiple audio track layers and basically overlap sounds and time them out that way. In the case of the torture clip, there actually was no grunting/gasping noise in that folder at all, so those noises are actually his battle groans, lol. I had to improvise... a lot. If you listen to the dialogue purely by itself, it doesn't have enough "oomph" to it, by comparison. The other fx are mixtures of saber noises, foley footsteps and organic-sounding smashes from my own computer's sound fx library. Although the "script" didn't really call for it, I felt the little torture session at the end helped. I guess I'm just a sadist that way. "
  11. sure, no problem. I think I'm just about done (well, for the stuff that's been posted so far). (here's the link again, in case anyone missed it: http://tubertarian.com/kotor2missingcontent.php ) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Much abliged.
  12. Nice layout so far If it's not too much to ask, though, could you just use your mirror links and not my own links on that page? I'm just a wee bit afraid of getting in trouble with my host because of all the remote linking bandwith from this forum and there. ^_^;
  13. I still have yet to get to that part (also playing as LS female), but I was naughty and located the sounds clips and listened to them. All I can say is that listening to those made me love Carth all over again. His voice actor is also so damn good, too... he's so touching and emotional saying those lines that you'd swear it was real or something. I know a lot of folks didn't like Carth because he was "whiney", but I liked that he was so passionate about stuff and had his own opinions. It'd be a real tough choice choosing between Carth and Atton though... although I'd probably pick Carth since the whole "I killed her because I loved her" thing weirded me out from Atton. I still don't understand how someone would do that when they "loved someone enough to die for them." >_> I mean, he obviously loves the Exile that much as well... so why doesn't he try to kill her at some point? lol... I'd also be curious to see if everything's tied together in KoTOR3. If they could somehow manage to wrap up both games' dangling threads, then I would be so pleased. Plus I'd be rooting for a Carth/Revan reunion.
  14. Oh that's a relief. I though female and male characters get the same party members. Thanks , back tracking would have been a pain. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> lol, yeah you can tell it's the Disciple because his upper teeth are so pearly white and prominent they look like dentures sometimes. Hehehe... I admit he looks very dashing when he grins with those teeth, but when he talks, sometimes he just looks awkward. Then again, I'm comparing him to Atton.
  15. sorry, I just ran out of energy after thumbing through the thread a couple times. I didn't want to leech off your bandwidth when I posted on other forums. I'll edit the thread and give you props - whoever else mixed those together can PM me and I'll add your names too <{POST_SNAPBACK}> lol, thanks... well I mixed every Atton clip so far, if that's the info you need.
  16. Ok, got the Atton/Sion scene done. I have to admit, it was tougher than the others. Atton just didn't sound as pained as I would have expected, so I had to use a lot of creativity this time... lots more sound effects, and I actually used a track from the game instead of the SW movies this time, too. In a sense, it's much more of an Audio Mix than the previous ones. Close your eyes and try to imagine my intent. It plays out not unlike a radio drama. Hope you like it! Atton's Torture edit: nice to know people are showing an interest in my mixes on other forums as well, but I do wish I got a bit of credit for them, too.
  17. omg, please tell me, what folder did you find them in? I would love to make a mix of that scene...
  18. I've seen this guy's site before and I'm not convinced. There's no real proof he actually knows Lucas... anyone could make a website like the one he has. Hell, even a picture of him and Lucas would help, but even then who's to say it's really him in the pic with Lucas anyway. I feel sorry for all the weak-willed people that fall for his act. I'm willing to bet money that KOTOR3 will happen, eventually, regardless of who makes it... but I'm just not sure if it'll live up to the previous ones. I mean, despite to mess-ups and cut-out stuff, that's a lot to try and beat, don't you think? Having a THIRD amnesiac jedi could get old really fast, but I can't see how the third game would have Revan or the Exile as the lead either... they're so pumped up and customized by the end of their respective games that I think it'd be hard to start a game fresh with them, and you can't just start them out weak either or people'll scream bloody murder, I'm sure. As for the cut stuff, once I fully beat the game LS, I'm probably going to make a couple mangas of the Atton scenes just to placate myself since I really doubt I'll ever see it in-game.
  19. I dunno if he gives you a stat boost, but at one point if he's in your party you can "meditate" your FP back instantly when not in battle.
  20. Oh... eh heh... I sorta killed Kodin. Ah well, my Atton influence seems to always be maxed, so I doubt that'll be a problem. Made him a jedi tonight... looks quite nice in robes. His whole speech about going nuts and killing that jedi kinda creeped me out though but I got over it when I made him come to my rescue on Go-To's ship. :D
  21. *snort* I certainly hope that is your attempt at a joke. Just because it is believed that women don't think about sex 24/7, doesn't mean that they don't "want any." <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You have gained influence with Eji. Hahaha! Methinks I have found a kindred spirit on these boards. (w00t) Honestly, both KoTOR1 and 2 hooked me in with the semi-main male leads. If it wasn't for my interest in making a relationship with Carth and Atton, I'd have probably let these games drift by me before considering them. So, in that respect, I kinda felt a bit cheated at the outcome, or lack thereof. Don't get me wrong, I loved both their dialogues, but it was like some kinda cruel tease half the time, lol.
  22. I thought that was a really weird thing... seemed like it was meant for something and then just went poof. I kept thinking I screwed up, but there was no other alternative to that happening...
  23. Yeah, maybe the Exile could pull a Bindo and say "the hell with being all stoic as a jedi! I'm not going to turn this into some angsty situation... I love him and I'm taking my man with me."
