Can't install HK's pacifist upgrade?
BattleCookiee replied to edm203's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
After HK-47 is ready to serve (or what do you want killed) there should be something like "I want to install some new piece of hardware..." (Don't start with questions, or stop saying what I want killed or stop saying master) -
My list: 1. Dxun/Onderon 2. Nar Shaddaa (loads of missions and good stuff but not enough brightness and hapiness that makes Dxun/Onderon fun) 3. Telos (Citadel Station short and only 50% interesting, planet surface was fun, but to bad you can't go back, academy was boring) 4. Dantooine (Just way worse than KOTOR1's Dantooine, and also a lot shorter) 5. Peragus (Far too long for a begin planet, Taris in KOTOR1 might be longer, but was a lot more interesting because of the many layers in the city, the tension between the gangs, and the many more NPC's to deal with) 6. Korriban (The best parts from KOTOR1's Korriban were cut) 7. Malachor V (marked as the planet for a perfectly bad end..., and way too many things cut out before and after)

why make Darth nihilus so weak ?
BattleCookiee replied to Badsight's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Yes, that story of strenght sucking was an explanation why you got XP and level upped... Thus in KOTOR2 they had a valid reason to give XP for killing people, unlike some other RPG's... -
Fastest planet to build a lightsaber?
BattleCookiee replied to -Jinrai-'s topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Korriban is probably the way to go. Small, one part from the Jedi (fast) Then beat Visas And you got yourself a saber. You can return later for Hsiss and cave if you want to (don't have to be done right away...) -
I would have waited for a finished game
BattleCookiee replied to camus's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Too bad, there are too many morons on the world to make this un-true... Look at a new company (forgot name), made good and original games MDK and such, which sell bad They make a CRAP game based on The Matrix and it sells... Original and good: Punished, low sells Not original, very crappy, buggy and ugly looking, but with license: Loads of cash... -
They most likely meant: "Things you're already past in you're save (Fuel For Telos Quest bug for example) won't be fixed after loading, but are fixed if you select new game... Never heard of a patch forcing you to Re-Install the whole game... Not certain though, as the patch isn't here yet, but will be soon (but whenever soon is, I don't know...)

? PC has the most crap? If I recall correct the Consoles are overrun by low-quality games who are no fun. Bug free, yes, but totally boring and no fun at all... And all the GOOD console games (few) are converted to PC-versions anyway for the extra cash... Plus, on PC you get to play games were you should think (usual console games: Press Button Fast, Faster, Faster, yah Enemy Down! "Wow, what a fun, after 304992 times in this game") Those patches usually are bonusses instead of the "bring soon, patch up for the working" Lucasarts seem to have now...

Rampant lying by NPC's about time
BattleCookiee replied to LadyCrimson's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Kotor2 stepped a great step away from D&D though, and thus it won't be a problem to install it really. And player actions: Swoopracing/Turretshooting (and in a degreed case puzzles) and such CAN'T be done in D&D (player action based) and thus are already an indication that these timed actions could also be added (another player based thing) They can either: 1) Force to complete before other Quest completion (already done) 2) A timer who runs down except when paused/in menu's -
why make Darth nihilus so weak ?
BattleCookiee replied to Badsight's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
The biggest difficulty (although not really difficult after all) of the TSL bosses was their Respawning health (also main difficulty Malak). As they don't did that lousy rehealing trick with Nihilus, and made him as strong as the other bosses, it would cause him to suck... Just like the other 2 would suck if it wasn't for their Re-Healing. -
What's your character build?
BattleCookiee replied to theguy's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Ehm, Darth Frog, you only like RPG's where you can beat a single fight only with uber-chars... I don't think the major amount of gamers would agree... -
I am broken, very, very broken....

add Disable Vertex Buffer Objects=1 Beneath [Graphics Options] In the SWKotor2.ini file -
Problem with stealth mode
BattleCookiee replied to bluerosy's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Don't know for X-Box really, but PC should be the same in this one: After leaving stealth mode solo mode is still on, turn solo mode off and they will follow you -
It already exists, and is called "PC" Have fun finding one (w00t)

All depends on the power of your PC. But despite that RPG's, RTS, FPS, Point-and-click adventures and simulation/god-games just play better on a PC (including KOTOR2)

Isn't done a lot (almost never really) (good thing...) Usually they bring Gold Editions (Original+Expansion(s)), and if you already have the original you just buy the expansion seperate instead of the whole pack... Since this can't be done on console's they use cheap re-releases (original+extra) and you have to do all you're original progress once again (Morrowind comes to mind). That's the Wrath of playing on a console...

Load a savegame before heading to the Hawk, you won't need anything from it anyway. If you don't have a savegame before, see post 2
-
And if you pay $80, expect $78 for LA and $2 for Obsidian... Cut: HK-factory, Vash, Bastila, Bigger part for Evil Sith Atris (including Main Menu apearance), Bigger part for the Sith Lords, Improved endings... etc (only heard 3% of the Audio files) EDIT: Oh, almost forgot about a whole extra planet...

What do u want from kotor3

Best to read this after completing Nar Shaddaa's Main Quest, you can always go back and finish the Side Quest anyway: It is not required to do this mission for the meating of Goto...

I don't believe a gaming developer would EVER be as stupid to release "Limited Editions" from a normal game (complete stuff). Limited Editions usually have extra stuff beyond the game (second CD/DVD with bonus material, some neat hardware, posters, maps, figures and such) And if they do release the "complete version" of KOTOR2 as a limited pack the "Baldur's Gate 2 Bonus Disc" game's-world riot will look like an every days accident...

Never underestimate a Cannok

Reminds me of my time on GO-TO's ship, EVERY turret had an armor inside (one even a Jedi Robe) -
Never underestimate a Cannok
BattleCookiee replied to OrganisedChaos's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
It is explaned that Cannoks eat "everything lying around" That's why you find grenades, blasters, lightsaber crystals, armor and such in Cannocks. They made a real fun mission with this fact (if you completed the game already you know which one I mean. And about the Medpack Cannock, never seen that, but I did find a Cannock on Telos who was about 4x thougher than all the other Cannocks. (And I did hear the "Medpack used" sound ones when fighting a Cannock, thought a TM used it (could still be))
