ROTFLMAO!!!! That's good!!! Why can't it work like that in real life? Someone beats you over the head with a baseball bat so many times that you become a vegetable. Then when you're lying in the hospital, you "friend" hits you one more time and all of a sudden you and come up with a cure for cancer, HIV, AIDS, ADD, ADHD, the common cold, acid reflux disease. You build a perpetual motion machine, invent hyperspace travel, and built a time machine all before they take the catheter out.

hell, someone should come up with a mod that fixes the HUD in KotOR 1 and one that makes the one in KotOR 2 a little bit smaller.
-
my thoughts exactly. I kind of liked the fact that the PC and Xbox versions had unique heads-up displays. But although, I grew quite acustomed to the HUD in KotOR, it only took me a little while to get used to the HUD in KotOR 2 and after a while I started to like it and it was really weird going back to playing KotOR 1 because everything was bigger in KotOR 2. Right now I'm playing KotOR 1 after playing through KotOR 13-14 times, I figured I'd play KotOR 1 for the 14th time. It's been over 7 months since I've played and I'm telling you I'm still not quite used to it and I'm already past Dantooine. I'm not even used to having the Rapid Transit, yet. While I absolutely love KotOR 1, being my favorite game of "all time," I still wish the display was a little bit bigger. It doesn't cause as much eye strain. The HUD in KotOR 2 is easier on the eyes, literally...but I guess I do like seeing more of the screen in KotOR 1. There need to be a balance in KotOR 3...if there ever is one.

Now, as a rebutle do I say, "Yes, I can blame Nikko" or No, I can't blame Nikko"? Hey, the Force may work in mysterious ways, but not THAT mysteriously. It does come across as a little fruity, but more than that, the way he said it, the dialog itself, and the guy's voice just made Nikko sound like a real creep. Serial killer/rapist, if you will. But that's obviously just me...obviously. But not gay, just a creep...maybe bi...

The Sith Lords theme music is also very good. the music playing during character creation. that one's a dandy. but what really bugged me is a lot of the music in KotOR 2 is recycled throughout the game. I didn't really like that. I can't hink of all the tracks, but there's quite a bit and they were reused "recklessly." There were quite a few tracks in KotOR 1 that were recycled, like Bastila Shan, Malak's Theme, Sand People Enclave (area and battle music), Rakata Temple (area and battle music), Taris Sewers (area and battle music), Taris Lower City (area and battle music), "Pazaak," Anchorhead (area and battle music). There some others, but the reason why it doesn't bother me in KotOR 1 is because the tracks were reused were they seemed appropriate and they weren't reused as muchMark Griskey cut and pasted some of his tracks to make different ones in KotOR 2 and some of his tracks are used in like 3 or 4 different areas.

Personally, I prefer Jeremy Soule. There is a lot of Mark Griskey's music that I love, but the truth is I just like Jeremy Soule's music better. Although Mark Griskey's music DOES sound a little more Star Warsy, like the music in Iziz, for example. But Jeremy Soule's just...well...I liked the way he used little parts of John William's music in some of the music in KotOR, like Bastila Shan and the music playing when the Ebon Hawk escapes Taris and is being chased by the snub fighters. Also, the Sleheyron Music (from the Rakata Mind Prison) is probably my favorite track. And the music on the Hrakert Station creeped me out just right. But despite being in favor of Jeremy Soule, Mark Griskey's music sounded a lot darker, which I think is just what was needed for KotOR 2. but it was still a breath of fresh air to hear Jeremy Soule's work in certain cutscenes, like the Dark Side ending, which was heard toward the end of KotOR 1, if any of you remember that. If they do make a KotOR 3, I think that they should use both Jeremy Soule and Mark Griskey.

Yes. Yes he does. "Would you like to play some Pazaak? My "deck" is still warm." My deck is still warm? What qu**r wrote that line? I wanted to throw up as soon as I heard that..."my deck is still warm...".....geez...that's probably the gayest line I've ever heard...not that there's anything wrong with that. Seriously, "Nikko", I mean no offense, but if it was me that got put into the game, I'd be a little upset with the way the character turned out. I can't imagine "Nikko" does you any justice. I mean, his cheeks seem unnaturally rosy. And it would have been cool if they let you do the voice acting, too. The guy's voice in the game is very "fruity" sounding....I better quit right now...I'm starting to turn into a homophob.

EH, don't worry about it. It still works. But I can't get the files in the StreamSound folder to play. I have miles sound studio and all of the files come out sound all screwed up. What's the deal? How do I get them to play right?
-
I love it! It's so cool! My only gripe is I wish the cursor lit up whenever you clicked on something, but at least it lights up at all. I was wondering if the cursor was going to work like the original KotOR cursor, instead of just a "solid" cursor that doesn't like up. I like the sounds, too. I might add a few more, though. Better raid the sound folder...what folder would have all of the beeps and clicks and whatnot?
-
Why? They don't die when they get in the way of swords and lightsabers when you're fighting an enemy.

Has anyone unlocked all of the movies?
Jambo replied to Craigboy2's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
to those of you that have unlocked ALL of them...how? How did you do it? I've unlocked 59, how do I unlock the other three? -
I got news for you, the Jedi lie and manipulate, as well...and probably more so than the Sith because the Sith let their feelings show on the outside, regardless of the consequences. Jedi lie and manipulate all of the time because they feel that it will serve a greater good. Jedi lie and manipulate to avoid problems. Sith lie and manipulate to create them.

No. KotOR 1, definately. I really don't care for some parts of the KotOR 2 Theme. I liked the color sceme of KotOR better, too. But KotOR 1 was blue and KotOR 2 was green. Both lightsaber colors that appear in the movies. Maybe KotOR 3 will be red. That would definately work, considering that it would be really cool to start out as a sith in training who has to choose to continue to be a Sith or become a Jedi, rather than starting out good and going from there. Siths of the Old Republic: The Jedi Masters...I think that was what was going around. But anyway, back on topic. I really wasn't too concerned with having an entire destop theme as I was with just getting the KotOR-style cursor and the sounds that go with itl. Oh, and thanks for the link Duff Man.

I liked the item creation and upgrades and stuff in KotOR 2 because in KotOR 1, by the end of the game there were just not enough energy projectors, vibration cells, durasteel bonding alloys, scopes, beam splitters, underlays, and overlays to go around. But you better believe there were more than enough hair triggers, by cracky. I liked the idea of adding more than just crystals to your lightsaber. The lenses, emitters, and energy cells really made a lot of sense. And I also liked the idea of being able to decide what enhancements I can make to the armor, instead of adding a generic underlay and overlay and they add different things to different pieces of armor. And I also like that there was more upgradeable stuff, like the ranged and melee weapons and the armor. I liked being able to upgrade just about everything in the game. But I like to keep things simple. While it was nice being to create any upgrade items, after a while it just got kind of old. And the idea of breaking down a jedi robe and using the same parts to make computer spike just seemed kind of silly. I mean, I think that you should only be able to break down certain items or you can only break down armor, armor upgrades, and robes into different components. I mean, you've got a lab station for grenades, mines, implants, and medipacks and you've got a workbench for weapons. There should be..........a f***ing sewing machine for armor and robes and whatnot. Maybe not a sewing machine, but something else, like a Tailoring Bench for armor, robes, and upgrade. Or combine the Tailoring Bench and the Workbench Into one, just make it so the stuff from the robes and armor goes one place and the components go in another place. That would make the most sense. But in all honesty, I like simplicity. I like being stuck with whatever I can get because it makes the game more challenging and I liked being able to upgrade only a select number of items. It makes them special.

I voted for "the answers for the 'surreal' stuff." I would have voted for the item creation and upgrades and stuff because in KotOR 1, by the end of the game there were just not enough energy projectors, vibration cells, durasteel bonding alloys, scopes, beam splitters, underlays, and overlays to go around. Well, he had 8 to begin with. So, I guess Obsidian felt the same way. But it's still pretty cool that he's at 254 with a +127 modifier. The hairy b*stard could probably open up any container or door, repair any droid or console with 0 parts and slice any computer with 0 spikes and retrieve any mine. Oh, and he'd be pretty handy at a workbench or lab station. He's a kick-*ss fighter and now he's even more useful. The computer version certainly has it's ups and downs.

Has anyone unlocked all of the movies?
Jambo replied to Craigboy2's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I voted for 60 because all I know is that I lack 2 or 3. It's starting to piss me off. What are the other ones? -
In KotOR 1, I liked HK-47 much better than in KotOR 2. In KotOR 2, I'd definately have to go with T3-M4. He actually had a personality and actually had something to say every-once-in-a-while.

Well, for some reason I'm able to do the Strength lesson with Hanharr and infinite number of times. The one where it gives him +2 Strength and -2 Intelligence. Well, as funny as this my seem, I can do it over and over again, giving him an extra +2 Strength and -2 Intellegence everytime. And the funny thing about it is once it went past 0 Intelligence, it started over and went up to 254 Intellence. So, that walking carpet has a +127 or so modifier to his Intelligence. In addition to his 35 Strength. And another thing is I get Dark Side points and 1000 XP every time. Another thing that's kind of screwed up is I have no dialog option to say, "Nevermind" or whatever. When I first talk to him, I have two dialog options to either start talking or to end the conversation right there, but after that there's no way out unless I finish a conversation. In this case, the lesson of strength is my only way out since I've talk to him about everything else. I'm guess that the missing dialog option and the bug are related somehow. It's screwed up, I know. It might have been caused by one of the mods that I installed. Has anyone else encountered this little problem?

If the cursors I made long ago are good enough for you go download the theme file and the cursors should be in there. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> the links don't work anymore. I tried them.
-
so, any idea how to get the cursors?
-
I was wondering if there's anyway to use the Kotor-style cursor, sounds, and beeps for Windows. You know, like the little beeps when you click on something or when you close a message window. Stuff like that.

yeah, I really hated that about the game. It's seems like Exun Kun's armor is quit a favorite, as well as the Circlet of Saresh, and Ulic Qel-Droma's armor. One time I found two of Freedon Naad's Blasters. It gets to be pretty rediculous. I mean, there are some places where you get the same things everyt time, like the killer cleaning droid on Nar Shadaa, the museum at the Onderon Palace, the Sith Master in Freedon Naad's Tomb (Double-Bladed Lightsaber and Sith Power Gauntlets). And also it seem like you get lightsabers and parts for them from the unlikeliest of places, like the guy on Nar Shaddaa who's looking for his wife (Lootra?), Mandalore, Daegon Ghent, Moza/Jana Lorso. It's silly, is what it is. They also need to make it so you can get every single lightsaber crystal in the game on every playthrough, maybe 2 or 3 or each, (except Solari). And need to make it so you can only get certain items from one certain place on every playthrough. If you forget to go "there" or can't for some reason, big deal if there's no hope of getting it later on...you can get on the next playthrough. This random item generator is absolute anarchy! Chaos, is what it is, chaos. And let me tell you, "Chaos does not work for the New York Yankees!" Also, you shouldn't have to be a friggin' level 50 to get the best items. I mean, I know it makes sense, but come on! Who the hell gets to level 50 on every playthrough... Make it so you can get some of the good items like around 30 or 35.

So, you hate Star Wars, mildly dislike both KotOR 1 and 2, and you hate the Star Wars setting in general. So, since you don't even like Star Wars, how is your opinion even valid? I mean, it would be different for a Star Wars/KotOR fan to say that an RPG set in the Galactic Empire era would be a bad idea because he/she is saying that because he/she doesn't think it's a good idea, not because he/she doesn't like Star Wars at all. I would consider myself to be a Star Wars/KotOR fan, and personally, I don't think an RPG set in the Galactic Empire Era would be a much more difficult to pull off without conflicting continuity (more so than 4,000 in the past) if it is to be original. And if it's not an orginal storyline and follows the movies, what's the point of making an RPG out of it. We've already seen the movies so we know what happens at the end. It wouldn't be a good idea because RPG's are centered around a storyline and what's the point of playing if you already know the story, beginning to end?

and you know, there wouldn't have to be a lot of alternate light side/dark side dialog for the NPC's. Just a comment hear or there for when you do a good deed and when you do something cruel. And it's kind of funnyn with Atton...you know, how sometimes when you kill someone he'll say, "Good thing we got the drop on him before he knew what was happening or "he had it coming" (Influence Gained)when Kreia would say "Your constant brutality grows tiresome." (Influence Lost). And sometimes Atton will condemn acts of cruelty.
