The List of Continuity Mistakes
Jambo replied to Darth Nuke's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
What the f**k does that have to do with anything? Who said anything about "how totally awesome it looked hurtling through space, looking like its about crash and up pulls up at the last second"? Yeah, sure it was cool the way it completely defied the laws of physics. Everything was cool about it except the way the "droid" itself looked. What I was implying was that there were most likely very few, if any, gamers that saw a box with wings in their mind's eye. And from what I've read so far, people are not too happy about the way Obsidian made the Basilisk War Droid look. What Obsidian manifested was more of a drop pod than a war droid. Are you pissed that I assumed that everyone, you included, didn't imagine a Basilisk War Droid would look like that or did you really think that is exactly the way it should look? -
The List of Continuity Mistakes
Jambo replied to Darth Nuke's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I can understand that you guys wanted the "Basilisk War Droid" to look different than the concept art depicted in Tales of the Jedi, but seriously, that thing was beyond stupid looking. The moment I saw it in the game, I had no idea what it was supposed to be. Then when Kex says that it's a "Basilisk War Droid" I said, out loud, "Bullsh*t." I don't read Star Wars novels or Star Wars xomics like everyone else. I'm not even a Star Wars fanatic by any standard. I just like playing KotOR games. And I can guarantee you that the box-with-wings that you guys manifested as a Basilisk War Droid is not what anyone saw in their mind's eye when Canderous was vaguely describing the Basilisk War Droid in KotOR 1. Now, I understand that the "Basilisk War Droid" wasn't important to the story in KotOR 2 and you guys just didn't care if it looked completely, 100% half-ass, but some customers may not be so lenient when it comes to KotOR 3. We're expecting a masterpiece in every sense of the word. Kex: The Basilisk War Droid is the epitome of lazy-ass computer game developers who don't a cannok's ass WHAT it look's like. It's been modified to accomodate a plethora vomit bags, that way you'll have something puke into in case you get a little woozy. Exile: Oompf! Kex: Yes, it is quite hideous, is it not? It looks the way it does because of all of the modifications. Either that or we put it back together wrong when we salvaged it. -
I'm on Malachor V and Mira's just killed Hanharr, but it didn't switch back to the PC. Hell, it didn't even show the cutscene with Hanharr asking Mira to kill him, it just left me with control of Mira. But luckily, the last auto save was on just Telos, before the exile talks to Carth. I still have the other file, however. So, if anyone has any desire to beat the game as Level 35 non-Jedi Mira. Let me know.

But the only problem is I don't think it would fit the description of "an evil that we couldn't possibly comprehend" "out lurking in The Unknown Regions." those quotes are, of course from Canderous, a.k.a Mandalore. I uncovered some more cut sound files. He said the Revan told him that it wasn't the Mandalorians choice to start the Mandalorian War. That they were tricked. Somehow, anyway. But I suppose, yes. A woman so absolutely vile and evil that she was able to goad the Mandalorians to start a war. They were overcome with this battle rage that made them feel like they had this void in the lives and their existence that had to be filled by conquering other worlds. Yeah, yeah. I'd buy it. But through out the game you learn that there is, of course, the Apprentice and the Master. And as you might expect, the Apprentice has and an Apprentice of his/her own. Somewhere between 1/3 to 2/3 into the game there's an incredible cut seen that the player character witnesses first hand. A cimematic of the Apprentice's Apprentice in an incredible lightsaber battle with THE Master, not the second in command. So, the third in command and THE Master are fighting and the third-in-command is victorious, completely going over his Master head. This is THE Sith we are talking about. You remember Kreia saying that "THESE" Sith are not true Sith at all and that there is a place in the Unknown Regions where there is a Sith Empire........ .......Ladies...and...Gentleman...Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic III: The Last of The Sith (it's all I could come up with) has the potential to be one of THE greatest Role-Playing-Games, and possibly THE greatest video/computer game to come around in a long time. The only limiting factor is: Lucas Arts...and the lack of Jeremy Soule's music

What would you have the next 'Darth' be?
Jambo replied to Sithmasteryoungy's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
that's one of the best ideas that I've ever heard of for Lord (or Lady) of the Sith. But the only problem is I don't think it would fit the description of "an evil that we couldn't possibly comprehend" "out lurking in The Unknown Regions." those quotes are, of course from Canderous, a.k.a Mandalore. I uncovered some more cut sound files. And Darth Malice is doable, as well. -
yeah, I found those Master Vash sound files, too. Do you remember what folder had the droid talking about M4-78 and accident that killed the settlers? There's a crapload of files in each of the crapload of folders (as you already know).

Darth Ignotus ignotus is Latin for unknown and sense KotOR 3 may very well take place in the Unknown Regions, I thought that that would be an appropriate name. Actually, I'd like to see a villian that isn't a "Darth" at all. Like Naga Sadow, Freedon Naad, and what not. And besides, we're talking about an evil far, far worse than any "Darth" could amount to. or caligo. latin for darkness. latin words for deadly: mortifer, letalis, fatalis, funestus, mactabilis decay: senium, caries, morior, intereo deadly things: mortifera death: obitus, letum, mortalitas, excessum, decessus, nex deformed: informis ghost: lamia God: deus, divus gore: cruor grave: tumulus, serius, sepulchrum, tumba, tumulus life: vita, spiritus, aevum, anima light: lumen, aduro (adustum), accendere, lux, levis another one is subodiosus, which is latin for rather unpleasant And the best one that I have found (so far) Exanimus, meaning lifeless I got all of this from http://dictionary.any-word.com -
The AK-47 is one of the most used fire-arms on the planet. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Stupid me. I can't believe I overlooked that, being a gunsmith and all. I guess recently my minds been more focused on computer games than firearms. That's kind of cool. HK-47, AK-47. And no, none of that was sarcasm.
-
what humorous appropiateness? I know that HK stands for hunter killer, but is the 47 significant or was is just a random number than BioWare came up with?

Remember, on the Harbinger, if you did any kind of investigating, the crew knew about your exiled status. The admiral mentioned in the holocord that it was extremely important that you make it to Telos, so he could speak to you personally. The first assassin droid did indeed find out about you by chance, but it wasn't as far fetched as you make it sound. If you talked to GO-TO at all about the HK-50 assassin droids, he tells you that they are employed by the Republic posing as protocol droids. The first HK-50 tells you that he was on the Harbinger as the captain's personal protocol droid. The Harbinger picked you up for reasons unknown, as of now. So, are you saying "what are the odds that that HK-50 would find the exile?" or "what are the odds that any HK-50 would encounter the exile?" because as long as the exile was picked up by a Republic ship, the odds of any HK-50 finding the exile are pretty damn good. Not ALL of the HK-50's are working for GO-TO, however, all of the HK-50's are likely to be linked to a central droid network, if one of them is looking for a specific target, one of the others could report it to all of the others.
-
what all can you say and do in order to earn influence points with GO-TO?
-
what's the Ultima Crystal and where do I get it? Also, does anyone find it odd that as a Light Sider, there are two Solari Crystals and two Circlet's of Saresh when there's only supposed to be one of each? It kind of pissed of that there wasn't any special Jedi Robes to get, like the Qel'Droma Robe. O.K. back on topic, now.
-
That's exactly what I was thinking. My super hot Sentinal chick (or any other character that I create) would probably be better suited to the Weapons Master Class. The only thing Watchman/Assassin has to offer me is better saving throws and better skill progression, but I can always just play a little longer to compensate. I guess I'll just have to check them all out.

I was just wondering what exlusive Force Power each Prestige Class gets. I already know that the Jedi Watchman get the Stealth ability, woopty doo, like I use Stealth that much anyway. Stealth is mainly used to aid in passifism, not my style. So what does each class bring to the table? Also, what is the skill, feat, VP, and FP, progression for the Prestige Classes. I ask this because Obsidian was too ignorant to print in their overly extensive game booklet.

solari+crystal-with-your-name-on-it (dantooine crystal cave) the lens, emitter and energy cell are obvious. just look go to your workbench, go to create items, look at all of the lightsaber upgrades a see which ones suit your needs. Also, use the physical boost implant, the GNS strength enhancer, and echani accuracy gloves or gamorrean gauntlets.

who says it's supposed to make sense. kind of like you, huh? Hey, I got an idea, boys and girls!!! Let's are start posting a bunch of nonsense that makes us sound like we should be locked in mental hospital that way the moderators finally shut down this waste of bandwidth of a thread, forever crushing thedixiechicksrocks little conspiracy theory crusade.
-
oh, you weren't being sarcastic, were you? oh, well there's hope for you, yet. just don't read so much into everything. there's no subliminal meaning to the KotOR series, there just Role-Playing-Games. Great one, at that. Seriously, I couldn't care any less even if they were just a "clever" promotional scheme for Lucus Film's two biggest piles of crap to even leave the studio. A game is a game, reguardless of their motives behind making them.
-
this is one of the funnest threads I've ever read. It's about time someone made fun of all of those paranoid conspiracy theorists. I mean, seriously, who would really believe that the plot behind making the KotOR games was to promote a couple of movies that wouldn't hold a candle to "Gigli." thepixierocks: You rock. How do you come up with all of this stuff. You've got the best sense of humor of any poster. um....you were being sarcastic about all that Lucas Arts conspiracy theory stuff, right?
-
O.K. someone please explain the Hssiss trick to me. Also, I'm not sure I fully undstand how you level up faster by conserving force points.

YOU NEVER TAKE HIM OFF OF THE SHIP!!! That's crazy! On my last playthrough, I played a Dark Side Male and Nar Shaddaa was my first planet after Telos, therefore, I had GO-TO for a relatively long time. I took him to Dxun and needless to say he was a badass! He has that droid module that only GO-TO can use, and it gives him Imp. Power Blast, Imp. Rapid Shot, and Imp. Sniper Shot. Let me tell you, he can lay down the hurt. Hell, I used him to raid Freedon Naad's Tomb. I like some of the stuff that he says during combat; mildly humorous stuff here and there. GO-TO's one of my favorites simply because of his combat ability and his evilness. Hey, that reminds me; what are all of the situations were you can earn infuence points with him?
-
Oh, that!? Well, why did you just say so? I didn't realize that you punch it in like a regular cheap! Well, thanks!

You can open those plasteel cylinder with a mine and some demolition skill. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No, you can't. If you could open it with demolition skills, then it would say, "Skill too low," rather than "Impossible." And I tried using a Dealy Frag Mine, but no dice.
-
you know, it's crap like this and the sub level of the Telos Military Base that are just plan intolerable. Cutting the original ending was Lucas Arts call, but I have feeling that is wasn't the case. I mean, it's just one room. If there was something special in there that they wanted to save for K3, fine. But for for christ's sake, I would've satisfied with locked plasteel cylinder that turns out to be empty. You know, this is kind of like that "impossible" locked plasteel cylinder in the dantooine landing port. Stuff like that is just completely unnecessary. If you can't open it then why put it there. What I like about BioWare is they weren't deceptive like that.

I was just wondering how you go about poisoning Vogga the Hutt's Cath Hounds. I know that you should be able to do something with their watering dish because you can "interact" with it. It's probably part of some quest, I imagine, so you can access that locked door in his "den." Anyone have any ideas?
