  1. I can't judge it, the local station that had the rights to air it from syndication aired it on random days of the weeks at random times (mostly, though, Sunday morning at somewhere in the 1-4 am range - they loved getting syndicated shows and burying them at night so other stations couldn't get them and run them opposite their local news programing - shows like Bab5, DS9, Hercules, Xena, Mutant X, Earth: Final Conflict, Jack of All Trades, Cleopatra 2525, The Lost World, Starhunter, etc) so I have seen very little of it. I think its because another station got TNG and ran it against their Saturday evening news show and clobbered it. I've probably seen less than 10% of DS9, and that mostly from the first couple of seasons. ObTopic: I've probably seen less than 10% of JoJo as well.
  2. I still remain unconvinced there's any Star Trek shows since the Animated Series (and I'm on the fence on it).
  3. Tell me you're mad about not having more games that you liked in a year without telling me you're mad about not having more games that you liked in a year. Also, from the article: No it doesn't. If that's the authors belief, then they have a very, very narrow view of fantasy.
  4. Ah, I hadn't used it because I thought it was consumable and I never saw another for sale. That either wasn't explained well or I misunderstood it.
  5. Yeah, I keep forgetting I have the Return Pillar. Might have been easier for me had I recalled that. Lol.
  6. I have to say I really haven't found the level in SMTV with Surt to be all that fun. I've never been a fan of level design that curves back on itself because it seems designers can't help but put in 'gotcha' moments, where first time through you'll fall off something and have to backtrack around repeatedly. I've got to the end boss, I think and but getting there felt like a real slog.
  7. "5 years later..." Since I know there's some US comic fans here, I thought I'd pass this sad news along: George Pérez reveals he has inoperable Stage 3 Pancreatic cancer He's a fantastic artist and a really nice guy. I hope that he gets a chance to feel the love from the fans and his family during what time he has left.
  8. Apparently I linked to this thread rather than the old thread in my first post. Not my finest hour.
  9. It's a good thing they helped Rex out when he got cold, he'd never got the sweater over his head with those arms...!
  10. Since we have manga now in the thread, I'll mention I recently finished Kazuo Umezu's DRIFTING CLASSROOM. 50% horror story, 50% Lord of the Flies survival story. Pretty good early 70s storytelling.
  11. New thread split from old. Old thread: Supēsu Kobura aka Space Cobra aka Space Adventure Cobra, episode 4: "Dassō!! Shido Keimusho" aka "Escape!! Sid Prison" Cobra and Jane Royal track one of Jane's sisters, Catherine, to the world she's a teacher on, only to find she's been arrested and taken to the floating prison, Sid. We're very much in the middle of the story arc, and while we get the typical Cobra resolution (he defeats/vexes/escapes the villain in front of him while achieving his goal), the overarching story continues. Is it just me, or...
  12. Been awhile since I posted... ...fought some monsters... ...saw some nifty abilities... ...watched my demons talk to other demons. ...helped the fairy King and Queen... ...experienced drama... Yup. Surt. Guess I'll have to go around. Met these two again and taught not-Radiou Kuzunoha a lesson. And merged a bunch of demons for new demons. What's in the cards next?
  13. Zardoz is an interesting film. I don't think it works, but it's still interesting.
  14. Seems like the easy fix would be to tag reviews made during the early access period as made during early access. Updating the review after full release could remove the tag or something.
  15. Weird, the film snob circles I know of wouldn't touch a fantasy, sci-fi or horror genre film with a 10-foot pole. FWIW, I thought Pitch Black and Riddick were really good. Chronicles had elements I liked and some I didn't, but killing off all the characters from Pitch Black pointlessly never sat well with me.
  16. I've only seen both films once a couple of decades ago, so my memories of both are very weak.
  17. I also prefer Star Wars to Empire. Keyrock, you might be the only person I've seen who prefers Gremlins 2 to the original.
  18. I've always ranked Terminator and Alien as better than their respective 1st sequels. And boy was that opinion controversial not long ago (not as controversial as disliking Up! and Wall-e was not long after they came out, though - egads people got hostile over that opinion). I don't remember much about the Matrix sequels, but I wasn't over-enamored with the first film.
