After suffering through the 70s & 80s teams, I'll take it. -

Haven't really been paying attention to it so much last few years. Atl is above .500, so that's good. -

The Klingon stuff feels heavily nerfed; like whatever plan had generated it had been so revised by the time it broadcast that it no longer really made sense but had to be there since the entire structure of the character relationships and second half of the season needed it since it propelled the concept. You could tell that Disc had a tumultuous creation, and I say that as someone who was okay with Disc s1 & 2 (still got to get around to finishing 3 & 4) -
I read CoMC in high school, but over the years had forgotten I read it. Then one day I saw the Jim Caveziel movie adaption and was like "I read the book!!!!"

Speaking of Ken Russell, I saw Lair of the White Worm recently for the first time. As is often true with Russell's films its a better film than its reputation would lead you to believe, even if I think Russell's final joke at the end doesn't really pay off.

This is a fake trailer, btw. Or as Screen Culture terms it a 'final trailer concept'.

Queen of Outer Space & the 80s Flash Gordon make a great double bill. Been awhile since I'd seen either, and thought they worked well together. In other news, full trailer for Osgood Perkin's LONGLEGS:

THE FALL GUY (2024) - an action comedy romance mystery film. Thought it was a real blast. It reminded me a little of F/X buy with a stunt man than an effects maker. MOONFALL (2022) - I'm surprised at how much complaint this film got for scientific inaccuracies when most of what is mentioned is explained by the central premise (which is, admittedly science fantasy more than science fact, but once it's established it throws out most issues with science in the rest of the film since youre in an alternate parrallel reality). Would argue that the NASA investigates side of the movie was more enjoyable than the 'disaster film' regular characters try to survive part. Did I mention I watched Airport (1970) the first if the big 70s disaster films? It's pretty good but I was surprised at how much of the character drama was rooted in marital infidelity.

Probably shouldn't have submitted that forum poster romance fanfic to the Community Blog Gorth anonymous Blog submitter.

Opting out of not one, but two, Alfred Hitchcock films, a John Ford film, a Coen Brothers film, a Terry Gilliam film, every adaption of a certain Dumas story, and if you're not that particular about the article "The", then also a Miloš Forman film.
