The Star Forge doesn't have any of its own. Schematics are programed into the Forge. Either that or Revan thought that the Rakatan ships were obsolete.

No it wasn't...the Leviathan was once a republic class vessel. As with the other capital ships of the Sith fleet, the Leviathan was originally a Republic ship that fell into Sith hands after the Battle of Malachor V. Both the Ravager and the Leviathan served in the Mandalorian Wars. While the Ravager was "lost" at Malachor, Revan and Malak took the Leviathan (or a ship of the same class) and programed it into the Star Forge databanks. Same with their Sith Fighters (as seen in Star Wars Tales comic where the jedi had a Sith Fighter.)
