yoda doesn't tap into the darkside to best dooku..it is very clear in the movie that he absorbs the lighting and throws it back. He is only using dookus crap against him...he isn't creating the lighting he is redirecting it. Which is why you have a power called force absorb in games like jedi academy.

thats weird i haven't run into any bugs that stopped me from completing the game...just dantooine slowing down like crazy...and that is sorta semi fixed for the ati cards.

gungans sing rasta shizzle....and what i find funny is i did not mind the ewoks at all in rotj...though i do see how jar jar and the ewoks kinda share the same sentiment (in kiddifying star wars) but i think they are nowhere near the same...jar jar is epic in his crappiness.

Carth Onasi Jar-Jar Binks Anakin Skywalker I think these guys suck...carth cause he is such a womanly man...whining and crap....jar jar just totally puts star wars into the kiddy section...and makes you feel stupid just watching/listening to him....and anakin is another damn emo whiner.....UGH but i think carth has more ballz than "ani," even his own woman calls him a girlie nickname. ani is only cool when he becomes vader...otherwise hes annoying and prone to emotional mood swings. WAH!!

ya those movies are kinda bad.....they should be done in game or really high rez bik movies lol...but i don't think i have ever seen a high rez bik movie in a comp game....ugh...

i get less level transition crashes with 5.4 cat...i only crashed once so far and im basically at the part where i have to gather all the masters at the enclave. I remember in my first game i crashed atleast like 4 or 5 times by that point.

they semi fixed dantooine for me....i have 5.4 and a 9700pro and out of the gate it pretty much works with basically everything enabled...but as soon as you quicksave or bring up your inventory in the main area of dantooine ( where koonda and the ebon hawk are) you get the same slowdown again...you can temporarily fix it if you turn change a graphic option like turn off the frame buffer and then it will be fine again until you quicksave or go to your inventory.

laptop users should take into account the minimum spec requirements...besides they didn't even have enough time to finish the game they already had where are they going to get more time to support laptop vid cards...come on.

i get fine performance most of the time with pretty high settings. The only glaring problem is on dantooine where your character like pauses in mid space and then jumps across the level stuttering all over the place. Its really hard to gain control over your character again. Pretty much everywhere else is fine. That is my main complaint about this game..just how crappy dantooine performs. There are others like the sort of convulted story and the sub par ending, lack of graphical quality in areas of the game and design that made the world feel somewhat empty and uninteresting. Also the battles...HAND TAYLOR these encounters....make them challenging. Its definately fun running into a horde of enemies and just lightning them to death...or sabering everyone to death like some super ninja jedi dude. But they can pepper those areas throughout the game...these areas do not have to BE the game. The boses should have been harder and more interesting (use some damn force powers! i swear the only power they would use is life drain and that power series is pretty useless *oh no darth nihilus sucked 20 health from me! look how mighty he is*) This dude can snuff out whole planets and he is only sucking 20 health from me...please. Sion was the hardest out of all of them and even he sucked.

these two powers are amazing...ESPECIALLY energy resistance...having a power on that subtracts from total damage...say u take 40 damage i think max energy resistance subtracts 20 damage from that damage so u take only 20. The other power works the same away except just with physical damage like slashing or bludgeon (but lasts for a shorter time than energy resistance).

ugh...dantooine sucked in TSL...i didn't like playing in it at all. I didn't like the fact that we had to come back there. It could have possibly been better if it was better presented (better quests, no super slow down bug, etc) but it wasn't. I think kotor 3 ideally in my mind would have to be set all in the outer rim and maybe somewhere a visit to coruscant (if there is a story need for it...if not forget it). I think one of the main planets should be like the capital planet of the true sith...stuff like that. It should be incredibly creepy and uncomfortable.

lol fairly indepth at that time? ahah i almost hit 50hrs and i didn't play any pazaak or swoop racing...so thats definately not indepth. I also only died once throughout the whole thing and that was because i was getting complacent since there was very little challenge in the game.

i did basically everything in the game and i only had maybe 3 double bladed lightsabers...3 or 4 regular lightsabers and one or two short ones. I had one silver color crystal, 1 bronze, 3 viridian...and like 1 blue? 2 or 3 red? everything is rarer in this game. I finally got a dark jedi master robe at like the end of the damn game! when i killed sion.....bah i was waiting the whole game for that damn robe! I was using a jedi master robe most of the game (only got one of those). I got like 4 padawan robes and like 3 knight robes lol. Whatever. I think i ended the game at like the 45 hr mark ( didn't do any pazaak or pod racing except maybe one race).

custom tailor fights so that they are a bit more challenging and fun (don't get me wrong pwning everyone with my consular/sith lord was a whole lot of fun but sometimes challenge can be a good thing). The only thing that gave me a challenge was kreia and sion on the final battles...and it wasn't even that hard.

i only trained handmaiden...i got no influence with like anyone hahaha. SInce i was such a douche to everyone no one liked me. Visas didn't teach me force sight either...i was missing two slots for my jedi powers with the question marks.

i think they should probably keep it exile based..it just seems so adjusted for it. But i think u should be able to control revan at some point and interweave the plots. They did a lot of that in the second kotor by splitting the groups up and playing with different people but these events went on at the same time just in different places.

btw death field sux...it does 30ish damage or less to everything even with a failed save. If u want health back use master heal or a medpack...if u want damage force storm! For those two powers i would rather have gotten force armor or valor upgrades.

100 crit on lightsaber with my consular/sith lord and 178? with force storm and force potency. i think i got to level 28 by the end of the game. and i was missing two force slots with the question marks..damn visas wouldn't teach me her secrets

dude i was a consular/sith lord and in melee and force i rocked....i could use the force any way i wanted and own people (i had all the darkside powers some universal powers and even some lightside powers) I got all the feats i wanted too which i didn't think would happen. although definately not as good as say a guardian weapon master in raw melee power i would still kill people in one or two rounds of combat. I had 4 attacks per round and my lightsaber had some crazy ass damage ratio like 27-54 or something and i had +34 to hit. I only used one lightsaber mind u and used flurry and dueling lines. At the end of the game i had like 43 defense with master speed on. Everyone would miss me even all the mauraders sith lords etc. And i would take them all out depending on my whim (hmm do i want to flurry this guy for 40, 38,80(crit hit), 40, or do i want to just force crush him? (or wave, insanity, scream, blah blah blah blah etc ad naseum). Pretty damn awesome i must say. With energy resistance your more than fine if u do get hit...say by a lightsaber or blaster fire etc. I had master heal too so that came in handy...by the end i was using force mastery exclusively just to have really long duration on speed and energy resistance and to make sure no one saved against my powers (which they probably wouldn't have anyway my dcs were in the high 40s i think). Force consular/sith lord was incredibly satisfying to play...and don't let anyone tell u they suck at melee...they are incredible at it as long as u take the right feats, force powers, and equipment. I focused mostly on charisma, and wisdom but i had like 20 strength at the end from other equipment and from the base of 14 i made at startup. My personal lightsaber crystal rocked!

ya i noticed it is kinda easy though im only on peragus. Rpgs are all about story and so far its pretty interesting but it would be fun to have a challenging game for once. That is part of the reason i liked baldurs gate so much is that they had challenging fights here and there. Ramp it up a bit it makes it fun!

honestly the publisher to be blamed...they are the ones responsible for rushing stuff out the door and they are also in charge of support after the game is released (atleast in the sense of paying obsidian to make new patches). Its the industry and for the most part publishers dictate to developers the time table. Developers would love to spend more time on their games but they just don't have the money to do it since publishers want finished games as fast as possible even if there are things that need more work. Thats why you read complaints of bugs and subpar art (levels not being fleshed out more with art feeling lifeless) because they jsut didn't have the time to do so. U think obsidian wants to release a game that obviously needs a bit more polish?

if memory serves me any sort of laptop video card cannot handle kotor 1 or 2..because there are certain features that are dropped from laptop cards to reduce the size of the card. If you read the box of the game you would see any ati mobility chips are not supported. So your out of luck dude.
