I'm playing Edge of Darkness, right now as Tukaram in the Mines of Kelberen. I love love love the thunder smash combo <3 Using Scythe basic combos is also glorious, though maybe a bit too random. My game backlog is massive, but I intend to finish at least Dark Messiah, Call of Duty 4, 2 and just perhaps Hostile Waters all this week. Then some moar Severance <3 <3

Man, Call of Duty 4 is a great fps. So is Timesplitters: Future Perfect, but for very different reasons.

What's the extent of the party development/interaction, Muso? Party development is a massive part of the game, it's an old-school dungeon romp afterall, but interaction between them is to a minimun, actually only between the few recruitable npcs you can find. Though there's plenty of talking every time you meet general npcs. It's a great game, if one can take the conventions of the genre, namely the graphics and heavy reliance on text. There's practically zero animations for instance, encounters often start with a huge message box on what is happening and then, on very rare cases, some cutscene done in-engine with perhaps meagere animation and some floating text dialogue. If that's something you can stomach, well...it's a great game. Just about all Spiderweb games are. Difficult combat, insanely large dungeons, plenty of lore and exploration.

Nethergate is the only rpg I've ever played where a team consisting of(at least) a Roman deserter, a druid, a Brigante berserker and a(n almost retired) goblin can exist. Oh yeah, and they kill evil faeries, seriously. I can't wait to finish the Celt game and play as the Romans. Pillage the countryside, desecrate every altar and make half the magical world go rogue in the process. Hate me, hate me!

Regenerating health?

Deus Ex is the only rpg I've played where the player character carries 10 potato chip bags everywhere. Quirky in its own way, yet not something I'd like to see repeated in modern titles. -

Did more translation, found out that La Espada Oscura(lol) works from a portable data storage unit without a hiccup(which means some ****ing awesome bloodletting in any class with a computer) and ate tortillas. The missus is also particularly smashing as of late. Me gusta mi vivo, me gusta bien!

Carn Dum was the fortress of the Witch King during the war that made the western Middle-Earth a field of ruins and hobbit lands. It's like the Immortal version of Barad-Dur, of course it's scary. I finally finished Puzzle Queeeeeest! Ffs, the endgame is a test of patience and an excercize in tedium, but overall it's a wonderful blend of genres.

I've been translating The Surprising Purpose of Anger, by Marshall Rosenberg, the Nonviolent Communication honcho. I think I can recommend reading it to everyone. Brilliant stuff.

There's a quest item, some loot and a cool sword(which you can also get elsewhere, but later) there, but the wyverns are a pain. I recall killing them in the next chapter and then they only respawned after I lost sight of the area around a hundred meters away. Whether they respawn or not could depend on which side you approach the islet. You might be able to loot the body if you approach from the side of water, leaving the narrow land bridge alone, kill the couple wyverns at the end of the islet and then back away and keep area on your sights so none respawn behind you and follow. Lizard oil+Swallow(+Blizzard)+quick style=win?

Yay, more content. A large nay for the complete customer fleecing though. It's great to have a comprehensive and unique campaign for all the races, but I'll wait for a gold edition release, or Battle Chest rather, if all the games are priced 40+ euros.

BREAKING NEWS: NEW DAWN OF WAR 2 FOOTAGE
Musopticon? replied to Llyranor's topic in Computer and Console
Looks pretty much how I expected it to look - much closer to tabletop and has that Chaos Gate vibe. Now the only ting remaining to see is the story and some heavy optimization. -
What's up with games that don't feature subtitles?

And Eesti a great language to make them laugh their guts off. -
Regenerating health?
Musopticon? replied to Wrath of Dagon's topic in Alpha Protocol: General Discussion
I expect the devs to provide incentive enough to try alternate methods to combat that we'll never have to experience "a string of battles". It's a super spy game afterall, and not a tedious KotORish dungeon crawl against the same few enemy types who are as distanced from consequences and the world as your ui menus. If the player kills everyone in a mission area in AP, say, an embassy, I expect there to be pretty damn dire consequences. It's supposed to be the real world, afterall, not the Sword Coast or Taris Undercity. You know, an actual embassy with actual staff who aren't chaotic evil stupid and in league with the King in Yellow. Then again, if the player is playing to "win" the game, not to have an experience or roleplay, then who am I to blame them. Anyway, health regen and unlimited ammo are the least of my worries. I intend to do some espionage, afterall. -

I think the art direction they've taken is what will eventually sell the game to me, provided at least someone likes the story. Whatever, the mech look reminds me so much of Gits, it's not even funny.
