  2. I survived England and Wales. I climbed on the slopes of Rholben and hailed Ramses II amidst a throng of Libanese. Bestest trip I've ever done.
  3. I bought Two Thrones and am playing that. It is more awesome than second, but I liked the art direction of SoT more. Speedkills are amazing and so satisfying. I also bought Winter Assault and NWN 2, but I doubt I have time for them any time soon. I have university entrance exams(god willing, I'm not sure if they received the papers) these next two weeks.
  4. My god, that looks good.

I was gonna say that even before opening the thread. That is awesome.

  7. Yeah, I'm the UK. I thought I made a lenghty post here about it earlier. I'sa gonna go to London for a week on Sunday. If you can give a ny tips what to see, I'd appreciate it.
  8. Abergavenny is awesome. And Strongbow is the best cider I've ever drank. This is a fortutous trip of epic proprotions.
  9. History is awesome, but i doubt I'd ever like to make it into a profession. There's a lot to learn and a lot more to teach, but I doubt it is for me. I don't have the devotion.
  10. Pineapple juice, beer, milk, mint liquor, Chaulot and water just now.
  11. I wanted to fly. I started to study languages instead.
  12. Thanks for that Calax. I don't know what to think, the ai sounds so cheap.
  13. I have no argument against that, I've just had the worst camera experiences in jap survival horror games.
  14. I actually want to see how it's going to be like. The original is awesome.
  15. I understand that, but it doesn't make me appreciate the camera any more.

  17. Cocoa, cold.
  18. Everyone (who is blaming NWNs) are blaming the NWN camere because that's only thing they can come up with right. For example, the most horrible camera easily goes to Silent Hill fixed angles. And japanese survival horror angles in general. If anyone has played Forbidden Siren, that game had this thing with telepathy where you could transfer your point of view to the monster. This is sort of in STALKER as well and there it is no problem, but that's because you are supposed to be totally zoned everytime it happens in the Ukranian ruins. In FS, on the other hand, it is a prime game mechanic and shouldn't be so fricking frustrating to use each time. Even thought the other survival games don't ahve this, they try to be artsy with the angles, but end up just giving the payer odd shots of player characters running to walls instead of dispatching monsters. Another game with a horrible camera was Force Commander. It was obvious that the devs wehre proud of their 3d enviroment and free camera movement, but that didn't really transfer well to teh actual use. You could never find a good angle to order your troops so instead you ended up not using the camera movement options at all and staid on the default RTSy-angle. That speaks of wasted effort to me. Most Tomb Raiders have had horrible camereas as well, but the age of the first parts has to be counted in. Not so for Ninja Gaiden which was my first thought even before reading the start post. There's just something severely annoying when you constantly have to keep centering the camere behind Ryu instead of using that effort to win fights. Sure, wind jump gets you straight to next enemy and outside combat it is nearly unnoticable, but if you don't keep pushing that center button in combat, the camera keeps jumping around and giving you weird angles all tthe time due to Ryu's constant(if you fight as you should, heh) quick movements. The aquaducts with their closed spaces were extra horrible. Remember the bug room?
  19. Homeworld 2 So far, I'm into mission 3. I have absolutely no idea on any kind of space tactics, but I did have the sense to try and research everything before moving on in the two first missions. I've heard this is one of the hardest strategy games to ever grace the market. Could get tricky. Anyone have any tricks or preferably tactics?
  20. I'm going to UK next monday. it is a study trip to Wales and London and has basically us odd 30 students talking to various locals and handling assignments. I mean, that is how it reads on our schedule, the actual reality is going to be...rather more liquid. We spend the first week in Abergavenny(we'll be staying at this place called T'yr Morwydd House) and Cardif and most of our hours will be going to prepare for exams and such, but I hope there's plenty of time to hit the local joints and "multitask". I actually have university entrance exams on 24th and I don't know how I'm going to manage that "last moment" reading when we are so occupied without sacrificing most of my free time, but I'll see. The second week has us touring London(hq is Fairway hotel near King's Cross) and indulging on the culture. We actually have a lot of prearranged museum time, so I don't have to take time for that, but I do intend to see a play or two, for example I've heard great things of Shakespeare Abridged. I just don't know where yet. And I hope Tower tour doesn't kill my budget. All in all, it is going to be awesome.
  21. The ending is a bit airy there, but that's only because they leave the mainplot hanging for second season. Which is coming.
  22. I'd be fine without the English part.
