Eru I wins the obscure nerd info prize for the day! Granted, I didn't know that until he told me around the first name change, even though I knew him from Bioware boards. Man, that is ancient history right there.

Not to mention that while nuclear energy can also sustain the development of alternative energy sources for regions that it is not viable. It's just a win-win situation. As much as I understand the hazards of waste and that we can't forever keep storing them underground, I don't wish to lose the comforts of modernities just because some can't bend under their idealism, especially when it is such prepostrous crap as anti-nuclear activism usually is. And I don't mean the youths that chain themselves to reactor cores, but the political power players that decide they'd rather invest more on oil and gas than nuclear just because of the dirty image it has garnered thanks to prejudice. Then again, I wouldn't like to have an uranium mine on my backyard, but such is life.

Sega and Bioware working on Sonic RPG for NDS
That is actually a fairly good parallel. Except that Bioware isn't making Baldur's Gate 13. Yeah, but they are making NWN 5 , aka Dragon Age

It is a simple fact that nuclear power is the only viable source of energy if both enviromentalic needs and efficiency has to be provided for. It hardly pollutes, risks are minimal, there's no lack of resourcs in sight and the relativley large investments it needs are paid back fast. Really, if we wish to see the standards of living keep the same, nuclear is the only option.

Sega and Bioware working on Sonic RPG for NDS
I meant it in the sense of both having to release a countless amount of crap to provide funds for the the very few diamonds in the rough.

What are you playing now?
TLJ and Dreamfall are nothing short of awesome. Best puzzles ever without them being too rational(rubber duck anyone?) and the character writing is superb for both titles. Of course, Dreamfall could have had more puzzles in general, but I think the devs were looking more into making an actual adventure instead of an archetypal puzzler and that was clar from the marketing as well. I wasn't disappointed, a bit suprised, that's all. Dreamfall could have done with less running and more talking and TLJ with less random puzzles and more background to some of the characters, but both are the best face of modern fantasy writing. They are pretty much two of the fours games I'd use to convert a newcomer.

Spiritual successor to Fallout?
Yeah, people don't generally buy games that are not fun.

I think I could still recite Cruel Angel's Thesis from memory, but I'd rather not. Why do they have to make them so damn catchy? Summoning - Land of the dead

I like the new designs too, very modern.

Yeah, I get the drift. I had the GitS original animation starter stuck in my head for nearly a year. AAAAAAA maegAAAA Not to mention that goddamn NGE opening, urgh. Twilight Singers - 40 dollars

^I've seen the original war propaganda supermouse cartoon on some old compilation. It's an untentionally hilarious play on Superman fighting nazis, but with animal counterparts. As for Transformers, I too played with the old toyline when I was around five and six, before school and then they were the awesomest of awesome, but when they started showing Beast Wars on some satellite channel a couple of years back and I tried to watch, I had to make efforts not to cringe. Of course, I never saw any of the original animated series when I was a kid, so that could affect the image, and indeed the love I hold towards them, quite a lot. I can understand the hoola over the new designs, but I'm not against them, since the redesign is afterall made for their prime demographic group and that is a completely different lot to what it was back in the 70's.

I'm guessing it has something to do with the amount of hours spent in WoW and comparatively to the amount of hours spent in the Nets in general. That's just a guess though. Is it the opening song, btw? The one about bananas and world domination? If so, that's awesome. I'm listening to Ravel's Bolero.

I read somewhere that if half of America turned off their lighting, closed fridge doors, etc for one night, an immense amount of energy could be saved. Any truth to this?

Anime recommendations
All I have to say about RahXephon. Hahhah In defence, you could find next to all those scenes repeated throughout the history of mecha and anime in general. I mean, "a city being destroyed by fighters"? "Woman removing sunglasses?" Apocalyptic stuff in general? Ultimately, not only are the leitmotifs(e.g no crosses in Xephon), influences(Christian-Freudian vs Mayan-Classical) very different, the characters and the plot is nothing alike besides such overarching themes present in almost any fictious media, like chosen ones, growing-up story and mind****. Hell, you could make a similar site for Brave Raideen and RahXephon and for NGE and Akira. RahXephon manga on the other hand, seemed pretty copycat. I'm not trying to skulldugger NGE(I was going to edit my orginal post to have some sort of content, but the time limit killed that, sorry), it is just that RahXephon appeals to me immensely, whereas I recognize NGE for what it is and can enjoy it's qualities(again mind****, mechas, apocalyptism, humour), but it ultimately feels pretentious and flat, especially when looked in the light of Anno's mental problems and not having a real ending(although EoE salvaged some of that). Also, no Asuka. Ei ole koiraa karvoihin katsomista, okei?

Yeah, enviromental weather fluctuates, it's been known for decades. However, we still destroy the athmosphere a heck of a lot faster than before.

Please, by all means, keep it to spite'em. The mods'll ask you to take it down, once they think the poor suckers have had enough.

Eschalon: Book 1
I'd play that. If for nothing else, then at least for the originality of not having to start as a "magick-user".
