I think the tattoos are being over used just like the saberstaff.

Something about the villian

I think you would have been more disapointed if he sported a girly chuckle... -
Next time you're thinking about how bad we are just think about how the world would be without us. If that doesn't work just think about how any other country in the world would act if they were in our place. If by some bizarre quirk you still feel anti-american seek help.

It looks nice to me, only problem is I'm diametrically opposed to paying over and over for a game.

A Rakata as one of your party members.
Weiser_Cain replied to Tyrell's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I actually don't think we should get too attatched to the Rakata since no one even knows they exist in KOTOR aside from the main characters and it stays that way throughout the known history of Star Wars... -
Damn, you speak better English than some Americans I know. What a sad, sad little country we are. Speak for yourself suck up.

Questions the the Devs - Take 2
Weiser_Cain replied to EnderAndrew's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Not sure if anyone(officially) asked this yet but will I be able to have long-down-to-my-knees hair? Will I be able to change my hair half-way through the game? Will Implants, gauntlets, and upgrades show on my character? Will I actually be able to snipe someone instead of running up to them and then missing? -

A more general Star Wars question....

I was under the impression that palpatine became his clones, he'd whip up a clone killhimself then posses the clone, then Bob's your uncle he's sexy again... -
Blame Mr. Freedom Fries up in the presidential suite. He don't like them frogs and nazis. <_< Funny how he forgets that this pathetic country wouldn't even exist if the French hadn't bailed our asses out of the fire during the Revolutionary war. I don't like frogs and nazi's, do you? You're blaming bush for the crummy distribution of videogames?!? The french helped in the first war that's all, we would have won our independence eventually. Euorpe may never have become what it is today without the blood of our brothers and fathers, some of which still lay buried in french soil.

Overuse of the double-bladed saber
Weiser_Cain replied to guns1inger's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I'll back that, jedi should be generals not soldiers. -
I think this has something to do with your registry being screwed. This would be a pergect tech-tv question... Google search for right click menu and you should get some nice results. I'd just reinstal...

How about Ewok Jedi? Jawa Jedi? Ewoks or Jawa, period? No Ewoks or Jawas. Or Gungans. Or any of the pod-racing aliens. How about gamorreans. I'd like to see a gamorreans supporting character(at least) that wasn't just cannon fodder.... -
Overuse of the double-bladed saber
Weiser_Cain replied to guns1inger's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
It's suppose to be very difficult to construct a normal light saber. So much so that luke failed in his first try. A double saber would be at least twice as hard. -
Another thing is the grenades. Thermal detonators should kill everybody in the area and yet they're tossed around like they mean nothing. I'd pause the game every time a grenade was introduced and the chatacters either had better force push it or shoot the hand of the thrower or run or something.

You mean like a mini gave that actually means something?

Normaly I don't reply to things like this but I have a question. How do I get away from this projects hype?
-
I'd also like to insert the element of fear into the npc's so that I don't have to kill everyone I fight. Though that'd take more than fidgeting with the ruleset. Add a element of intimidation to the fight... Not that I mind my topics not being super popular, but how can I know if the devs see my suggestion?

Overuse of the double-bladed saber
Weiser_Cain replied to guns1inger's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
The bottom line, I think, is that the staff is supposed to be extremely rare. Like to the point that only two user in the last 5000 years are known. I can see giving the PC the chance to weild one because of how popular Maul is but even then I'd restrict it. Make it an easter egg... -
Well lightsaber are dangerous to use that's why jedi are the only one's that really use them. But that's not what I meant. What I meant was that in the movies lightasber are machines of maiming and instant death, in KOTOR they seemed like little more than fancy clubs.
-
You know for a while I've been keeping my mouth closed about a lot of the things I wanted because I knew they wouldn't be popular. One of the things I wanted to do was to make lightsabers as dangerous as they are in the movie. Not everyone wants to play like this and I don't think I'd like to play like this all the time. I remembered that in kotor you could fool around to some extent with the 2da's to change things in game. I thought 'gee, wouldn't it be great if every rule in the game was changeable'... Then I remembered NWN having multiple rule sets so you could play as close to pnp as possible. What I want is for there to be multiple rule sets and or support for custom rule sets. It should be as simple as picking a pre-set in menu but be open enough so that hard core modders can crack open a can of foldgers and tweek or totally rewrite the rules of the game. I think this alone would double the replay value of the game.
-
While I'd like a multiplayer RPG, KOTOR2 or even 3 just isn't the right game for it. It would be too diffrent from the first one.

Why are we limited to Dark or Light?
Weiser_Cain replied to guns1inger's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
As a jedi it's supposed to be very hard to remain 'in the middle' as the dark side tries to pull you down(impossible it seems). A normal person may be able to skirt the edge or even go back and forth at will, but it's difficult as a force sensetive to avoid the pull of the fore in any given direction. The influence of the dark side is insidious.
