  1. Also, on a completely unrelated topic, what would Kumquatq3 think of this?
  2. Smoking is a pretty bad addiction for me. I know that I have to quit soon. What you're going through is going to weigh on my mind a lot. I wish you the best, Kelverin.
  3. The Cove. Nifty little documentary about dolphin slaughter in Japan.
  4. For The Love Of The Game. I haven't seen this one in a while. Not quite in the same league as the two other Costner baseball movies, but still pretty solid. Not the kind of film you'd expect Sam Raimi to direct.
  5. I braved the near -40 weather to do my christmas shopping today. Despite the cold, it seems like everyone else was, too. Now I'm going to go see if I can sweet talk the missus into wrapping all this crap for me.
  6. Wow, Edmonton comes back from a three goal deficit to beat St.Louis 5-3! And it was also their fifth straight win on their five game road trip! It just about makes up for going 4-14!
  7. I liked Up. It took me until the end credits to place Ed Asner as the lead voice. He's come a long way from one of the Jedi masters in KOTOR2. I watched an abysmal Stallone movie the other night, the Specialist. The only redeeming quality was James Woods. It's a good thing the Last Boy Scout was on right afterwards to balance it out. That's still a movie I watch whenever it comes on teevee.
  8. I worked all day, then went to watch a Christmas movie with my fiancee and her kids. Their dad takes them for a week tomorrow, which I think will bring the missus a fair bit of relief. Also found out at work that I may have five days off around the holidays. Which will be weird, since that hasn't happened since 1992 or so. It's really going to be an adjustment. Half the fun of the holidays is making sure people don't sneak in the out door at work while we try to close early x-mas eve!
  9. I'm making toast.
  10. I finished watching Wanted. Kinda silly, but still entertaining. I didn't really care for the latest Terminator movie.
  11. Teenage Fanclub - Alcoholiday
  12. I've pretty much stayed out of this thread because I've been on the fence about this show so far. Some of it has been good, some not so much. Some of the plot lines that I didn't really care for started to win me over tonight, like the baby story with the super gay fbi agent. I lol'd.
  13. This show took a definite turn for the better tonight. The twist was one that I didn't see coming, and I've been jaded from years of television.
  14. That was pure sarcasm about Entourage, BTW.
  15. Sorry pal, but the story wrapped up at the end of season two for Carnivale. There's a small write up for what they had planned for season three on Wikipedia, I think. Blame HBO, and maybe the general populace for not being able to grasp a somewhat unique show. But hey, at least Entourage keeps getting renewed!
  16. Gran Torino. Why is Clint Eastwood so right about everything, like all the time?
  17. That was quite the debut for Marian Hossa tonight. And a tough game for the Sharks.
  18. Which it did, lol. After going 23-1-2 on Afghan. Pave Low is awesome...
  19. Wow, 58 saves for Roli the goalie against the Buds tonight!
  20. After getting bored with the SCAR, I decided to test my luck with the AUG LMG. It didn't take very long to unlock the silencer ( which is all I seem to care about), but my accuracy dropped a whole percent. I'm going to have a go with the M16 and see if that can bring it back up.
  21. I had a great day on XBL today as well. Not quite to the levels of the Krookster, mind you. My best rounds were 26-3-6 and 20-0-4. I leveled up five or six times, and also completed / unlocked all of my challenges / attachments for the SCAR-H. Except for the headshots. I'm running a silenced Scar with the extended mags. Bling Pro, Cold Blooded and Ninja Pro for me. I still alternate with the Scavenger perk sometimes, extra semtex / frags and claymores never hurt. And I really, really despise the Sub Base level. Wasteland also blows monkey balls. Over four million people have played multiplayer. Crazy.
  22. How old is your daughter now, Hurly?
  23. Ummm, I struggled to get a child car seat firmly secure in my vehicle today. I have zero experience with this stuff. I want to say the learning process has been fun, but what a pain it was trying to get the damned thing to not slide from side to side, even with its stupid ass tethers and whatnot. My fiancee is holding a birthday party for her four year old daughter tomorrow. My folks are coming, so I had to help my mom shop for her. She raised two boys about thirty five or so years ago, and was absolutely clueless as to what to buy. I introduced her to the no fail surefire bachelor stepdad method. If there's any justice in the world hopefully I won't have to watch another Dora or Princess video.
  24. Or, they have no life.
  25. Woot! Bokishi and I were laying waste to most of our opponents, until we ran into some dude who's level 66! In our first match against him he went 33-0-2.
