Yep, and it sucks...

Mangas are no different then Anime, it's just that the author gets more of a leeway on what they can do with it. Violence is more graphic, the story more original and daring, originality more prominent (this is where most anime are born), it's a much more fertile ground. Plus, the drawings can be quite beatiful...

I used to follow a few Manga series (JoJo, Hokuto no Ken, Sanctuary, Nausicaa and others), but after a while i lost interest. I rarely bother with anime. Many of them are mere adaptations of the original manga and never quite manage to retain the feel of the original source.

The Matrix prequels are a text book example of why this is wrong...

Ok, perhaps you have a point there...

Not at all, he meant all the enemies in the game. Darth Maul wouldn't present a challenge to Revan, and according to the rules of Sith, there can be only be ONE such apprentice. That leaves you with the final boss and his apprentice, that ought to be an interesting game, wow. Again, you can't make a game with a character that is as powerful as the universe allow. Besides, what fun would it be to play a character that can't advance or grow anymore ?!? This was, and still is, the dumbest idea anybody has ever spouted in this forum...

A few things that bugged me about KOTOR
Opus131 replied to Neowulf's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
No, it is not. Yes it is... -
Revan was as powerful as Yoda at the end of KOTOR, that's as powerful as you can get in the Star Wars universe. Titles like 'Jedi Knight' or 'Jedi Master' don't mean anything...
-
Imagine that, fighting off swarms after swarms of Dark Jedis for the entire game, all as powerful as Palpatine, wow, how fast do you want the Star Wars universe to collapse ?!?
-
That's why there's a PC version of the game...

^agrees about the lamers, which Opus131 probably thinks of me as... All i ask is for people to think about what they are going to say. At the end of KOTOR, Revan is about as strong as Yoda, how in the bloody hell are you going to make a game out of that ?!?

Overuse of the double-bladed saber
Opus131 replied to guns1inger's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
What else do you need ?!? And what is this mythic status you are speaking of ?!? It's just a weapon, and not a very effective one against a single opponent, i think some people are giving double bladed sabers FAR too much importance, and all because of Darth Maul. -

They are ?!? -
Overuse of the double-bladed saber

It is harder to use. You need 3 whole feats just not to get penalize by using a doubled bladed sword (or dual wielding). Is anybody actually READING Drakkon posts AT ALL ?!? -

The game controlls can be customized to work on a PC setup, which i find much, MUCH better then a controller will ever be (i can't even imagining playing this game without a mouse cursor). Either that, or get an Xbox (if you can bear the loading times...) This is an RPG, not Mortal Combat. -
I share many of the same fears of Hades on this one (and i hate Star Wars to boot), but i'm curious to see what Obsidian is capable of, and i want to support them in the hope they inherit the place Black Isle had in my gaming spectrum. Furtheremore, there really aren't many RPGs out there worth waiting for (actually, there's none), KOTORII is pretty much the only CRPG i'd like to put my hands on...
-
I really REALLY hope this will be the last Star Wars game obsidian ever makes, the lamers are just impossible to bear...

Maybe the game will be darker in it's tone, atmopshere, it's inherent level of maturity and perhaps an introspective element in net contrast with the Disney-like drivel offered by the original game. Perhaps the characterization of good and evil will be deeper, the characters could be more mature and realistic, the entire world of KOTOR could be painted in a gritty, sideral atmosphere rather then the bright and neat happy happy joy joy look of the original game. There's a million of things they could do to make this game a little darker, i don't understand how you managed to conclude this game will be the same as KOTOR just because you can follow a light side path in both games. I mean, Aliens had an happy ending for crying out loud, are you going to tell me that movie wasn't so different from E.T. after all ?!?

The player has the power of reaload, how is that fair to the NPC ?!?

Goth on the other end grow money on a tree, so that they won't have to find a job and bend down to the system in order to go to the mall and shop for those expensive clothing at Hot Topic. Hey, i'd love to be a Goth, but my parents kicked me out of the house a long time ago... Goth have always been 'just another grouping'. You don't make a difference by wearing some goofy clothing inspired by cheap horror pulp fiction, you define yourself by your actions. Wearing dark clothing it's not a form of expression, it's just a shallow cry from attention. You want to demonstrate self expression ?!? SHOW ME something throught you actions, punk...

Meh, just listened to the audio tracks, nice groove there. Have you thought about trying to record some classical peice ?!?

I'm not an HTML buff, but i was able to load, read and brows your web side in a heart beat and my eyes aren't bleeding yet. Keep it up that way and you'll do fine...

Far better then any other game where i had to create a character of my own....

Who says Goth are different ?!? Some fashion choise is not going to make you 'different', Goth are no different then any other stupid teenager stuck up with fashion and image...
