What are the differences in this crime as opposed to other murders? I don't know, but that might be the answer. Noteriety, sure. The nature of the muders? They were strangers and there was no real motive other than causing mayhem. Part of a cult dedicated to destroying society? I mean, Manson wasn't just out to murder people, he had a cult and believed that he was "Mans' Son." Random violence? This wasn't a mother who decided to kill her husband for having an affair. It wasn't just premeditated. These were murders carried out for two things: the joy of bloodshed and the desire to terrorize society. Mutilation? The crimes didn't just involve murder but the acts were accompanied by bodily mutailation. There are a lot of factors and I'm not a lawyer. However, I can see why the prisoners in this case fall under a different category.

This is essentially my take.

Damn it! I PMed Gorth about this before I realized it was the RTS game. Grr. I actually don't mind the odd RTS. It's just that I prefer a turn based strategy game.

I saw it in the store the other day while buying other things. You'd be surprised at how long I'll dither over something as small as a game purchase. I don't know. I'll probably pick it up the next time I'm out.

Is this the title that everyone said was shown on a 360 kit, as Sawyers smartenheimer response leads me to believe?

Is there a place to legitimately buy this for download? Direct 2 Drive didn't have it.

Hmm, I'm still considering this title. I'll try the demo, but frankly, I rarely make a decision off of a demo. Usually I'm sold before I try the demo and only play it until I get the chance to pick up the retail version. On the other hand, if the demo is really terrible, I'll not buy the full retail. If the demo is good, then I won't count on anything new or different in the retail version.

I'm going to play a bit more of Age of Mythology and then I might download the Titan Quest demo. Lady Crimson said it wasn't very good, but a nice hack and slash adventure might do me some good. Anyhow, that's what I'm going to play, but I'm going to look for a Titan Quest thread or start one to give folks a chance to attack or defend it outside of our little playing now thread.

Maybe we can have a cooling period for this thread. Let's keep it friendly and I'll re-open the thread later if folks so desire. You may also start a new thread as long as it stays warm but not hot and cool but not chilly.

...And, as you can see in the sticky up above, most of these programs have demos and/or free artwork, sound files, and other assorted goodies. I know I use PCGen all the time for running my PnP games.

The screen shots are certainly beautiful. I wonder how hard it is on the system. When video card manufacturers start talking about a separate psu for the gpu, I wonder a couple of things. First of all, I wonder how many more acronyms we need in computer tech. Then I wonder if the pretty pictures we see in this thread are worth having two separate PSUs in one system.

I wasn't talking about my online persona, dammit! We weren't screaming at the kids. We were cheering them. Sean, the ten year old in question, was happy as hell to have me at his soccer game. In fact, next time I'll probably go to the other child's game. She's younger and they do not, as yet, keep score.
