  1. True. You can actually get two lightsabers within a few minutes. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh reeaaaally? lol - dr cloak
  2. I know that. I said star wars without jedi is boring. I never said star wars without sith is boring. And i'm tired of jedi fighting sith. That doesn't mean im tired of having jedi characters in a star wars universe. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Just curious; besides K1 and K2, what other Star Wars games has the Jedi vs. Sith theme? - dr cloak
  3. What exactly is a constructive comment for a game with no possibility of patching or refund? What can a gypped x-boxer do but blow off steam at this point? Oh, and before some feral 11 year olds attack me and try to chew though my various tendons and ligaments, I've not played it yet, being a pc gamer and make no such claim. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Good point. Furthermore, since K2 for the Xbox is not Live Enabled, anyone with the Xbox copy of the game are just screwed...big time. Not that being Live Enabled would necessarily eliminate those bugs, but atleast having added content would alleviate some of the 'bug' tension. - dr cloak
  4. Good and valid opinions by all. I prefer K1 over K2. In my opinion, adding new features, powers, increasing the importance of skills doesn't equate to a better game. It just equates to something different. K2 has far more bugs across the board than K1. Not to mention, some of these bugs affect game mechanics which is a big disappointment for me. I won't even get into the farce concerning the difficulty/challenge of K2. Talk about the pinnacle of powergaming. - dr cloak
  5. Mosty through Dialogue. You can gain a ton once you leave Citadel Station, enroute to Telos, while onboard the Ebon Hawk. You also can gain a ton once leaving the Military Academy (Telos) onboard the Ebon Hawk. 'Ton' meaning 5 or 6 LS/DS shifts. - dr cloak
  6. K3 is not in development. - dr cloak
  7. Well, if you would have fun running around in an MMORPG with thousands of other Jedi, then thats great. But I'm fairly certain it wouldn't work in the long run. If every character was a Jedi, who would play the other professions, if they existed? Answer...nobody. - dr cloak
  8. K3 is not in development. - dr cloak
  9. Yeah it does. I'll test it out later on, get some hard data to see if in fact there are no defense bonuses when these powers are activated. - dr cloak
  10. Lucas cares less about the product and more about maximizing sales. - dr cloak
  11. Good catch Jag. I never really noticed this. Is it possible that the defense bonuses work, even though the Defense stat on your character screen doesn't reflect the bonus? - dr cloak
  12. Hades, you mean Absurdian, right? - dr cloak
  13. If you want a good story, read a novel. - dr cloak
  14. An MMORPG that lets everyone start out as a Jedi would be disastrous, a blatant disgrace to the world of Star Wars. Not to mention there would be zero continuity. Ten thousand Jedi running around per server? Yeah, lots of fun. - dr cloak
  15. Move the difficulty setting to 'Difficult' then make a Consular. You'll have much more fun and a challenge this way. Once you obtain a Prestige Class, you become very powerful. The power curve for leveling is different for each class. As a Consular, you will start out weak for the first 40% of the game. If you choose Guardian, the power curve is much sharper, you will start crushing everything about 25-30% into the game. The Sentinel's power curve has no definitive peaks. Its just a smooth upwards curve, which truly reflects it as the balanced class. An interesting thing to do, would be make a Consular, and by the time you hit Prestige Class, unequip your Saber and just use powers only. - dr cloak
  16. Yes, you get 750 experience points, nothing else. What I did to beat them when it was 5 vs. me, is push them off the mat, one by one. Attack, then run into them which sort of puts them off balance and knocks them back. Remember, your feet can never leave the mat, if they do, you're disqualified. This works both ways. Brains over brawn!! - dr cloak
  17. Hmm, there is something you missed or didn't explore fully. Did you run from any fights and leave them unresolved? There is a condition that has to be met before Kreia tells you about the exit. - dr cloak
  18. There is an exit at the end of the Tomb that leads back to the caves. - dr cloak
  19. Once you obtain a certain amount of Dark or Light Side points/shifts, a cut scene with Visas will appear, showing her Master dispatching her to track you down. This scene eventually happens later in the game no matter how many DS/LS points you've acquired. But if you rapidly gain points, it speeds up the process. To give you a timeline, I usually get the cut scene within 10 minutes of landing in Citadel Station from Peragus. - dr cloak
  20. There is a fine balance between difficult and challenging. When I play an RPG, I want to be challenged. Not to the point where I'm totally frustrated, throwing my mouse/game controller across the room. But to the point where I'm not blowing through the game with extreme ease. When you change the difficulty setting in K2 from 'Normal' to 'Difficult' you receive a message stating that the game was designed with 'Normal' difficulty in mind. Problem is the 'Normal' difficulty setting is a complete joke. I have solo'ed this game on my 2nd play through on the 'Difficult' setting. Solo'ed meaning nobody in my party, unless it was forced on me. There comes a time when the fun starts to disappear, as you're running around with all your attributes in the 20s, slaying everything in your path with considerable ease. - dr cloak
  21. The Dantooine method is definitely cleaner, but slower. At any rate, now readers have two options to get their Sabers FAST!! I remember during my first play through, I was at the 20 hour mark, at level 15, still using a Vibro Sword. That really sucked. - dr cloak
  22. 1. You were never meant to get your old Light Saber back from Atris. I'm certain that was in there as a 'teaser'. 2. There were other incomplete areas with doors you couldn't go through that were littered throughout the game. Take the Telos Military Academy for example. Instead of leaving these doors that lead to nowhere, and getting some B.S. message like "This door is magnetically sealed and won't open no matter what you do, it would have lead to more content but we had to rush the game out the door to meet Christmas deadlines..." how about not have them at all? 3. lol @ Force Rape. Perhaps something happened that we didn't see, AFTER the Force Meditation sequence. I mean, they can't show the actual mating process...can they? 4. Ending...uhm, what ending? 5. I agree. My first play through as a Dark Sider, I didn't get my first Dark Side Jedi Master Robe until 5 minutes before completing the game. A freaking powerful Sith Lord running around in Light Side robes for heaven's sake. How lame. 6. Kotor 2 doesn't support Xbox live, so therefore, no downloadable content. 7. Yeah, I actually enjoyed their arguments. Wish there could have been more of it. 8. Agreed, another let down. - dr cloak
  23. If you go to Dantooine instead of Nar Shadda, it will cost you more time. Nar Shadda is quicker. If you get the Light Saber parts from Jorran, you have yourself a whopping...one Light Saber. This entails entering the Enclave, killing stuff, finding and altering the Salvager's will, and going back to Khoondra in order to land your second Saber. In the Nar Shadda method, you're not entering any dungeon and killing stuff. Matter of fact, you're not killing anything to get your 2 Light Sabers, with the exception of one NPC. Remember the title of the post is "Fastest Route". - dr cloak
  24. You can learn about Kreia's past quite easily, without having to score a ton of influence points with her. I unlocked her past around 8th level. Are there more cut scenes I'm missing? - dr cloak
  25. Yeah basically their attitudes remain the same. For example, I have HandMaiden at Dark Side Mastery, and I lose influence with her and receive back-talk if I do an evil deed (like kill someone for the heck of it). Kreia is easy to influence, but her DS/LS meter will barely budge. Its essentially pointless to try and get anywhere with her. The only non-Jedi that is worth influencing is HK-47 in my opinion. Why bother with Kreia? She will never be full Light or Dark, and is already a Jedi. The point of influencing a character, is so that you can eventually take them as an apprentice and turn them into a Jedi. The only character that I've noticed, whose dialogue changes to reflect the influence is Atton. Now that he is almost complete Dark Side Mastery, he says things like "Glad we got the drop on him" after we kill someone innocent. - dr cloak
