  1. bmw always provides us a loaner, and would likely hire us a prostitute to meet us at home or service us at the bmw repair facility depending on our preference. 'course, for the amounts o' money it costs to complete simple repairs and maintenance, we is already getting _________ by bmw. we got no complaints 'bout bmw and their servicing o' Gromnir, but tinstaafl. service comes at a price, even when such is not itemized on the final bill. as such, am not able to say if manifested is actual getting jobbed worse than we are. twelve miles o' walking in san diego, or paying "somewhere between ouch and boing." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VTL453yF5BQ HA! Good Fun!
  2. we like dave. nevertheless, on the issue o' canada's indigenous peoples, dave were full o' venom and vitriol. reading dave's posts, we got no doubt bruce woulda' been channeling iron eyes cody. more than a few bruce tears would salt the earth 'pon seeing how a social justice warrior such as dave could harbor such anger for native peoples. HA! Good Fun! ps funny aside, iron eyes cody were actual espera oscar de corti, the child of sicilian immigrants.
  3. Knock me over with a feather! For whatever reason, Ive never once considered that NA's would also be in Canada. Obviously things didn't go well in the US but whats the relationship with the Canadian government? Are there reservations in Canada too? canada has reserves rather than reservations. biggest difference 'tween reserves and reservations is the degree o' control and self-determination the native peoples have within the borders o' those tracts o' land. when dealing with indigenous peoples, canada has been more consistent over the years and is currently far more paternalistic than is the US fed. as such, US reservations have greater extremes o' success and failure, though canadian reserves is nevertheless trending more towards fail than success in spite o' greater Parliamentary control. am recalling 'bout ten years ago how dave gaider, a dyed-in-wool social justice warrior and vocal advocate o' lgbt rights, were raging on the bio boards 'bout the native peoples o' canada and the poor management o' reserves. curious disconnect? nope. dave's car had been stolen and abandoned on or near a reserve. dave's values were tested and at the time, he sounded far more like a trump supporter circa 2016 than the vocal proponent o' all things good and just and sunny he is today. HA! Good Fun!
  4. Sure, but that's kinda what made it what it is - ironically, today it's seen as an unapologetic campy and 'selfaware' little classic, that knew it was being over the top. It's in this light I compared it to Tyranny, which is imho also looking to be an unapologetic campy and 'selfaware' little classic john milius, the guy who wrote apocalypse now was tabbed to write and direct conan (1982). dead serious... seriously. today we can see camp, but conan and its actors and director and producer were complete unaware o' their camp. HA! Good Fun!

  6. am admitting our alley, if we had an alley, would be more akin to this: HA! Good Fun!
  7. well, if we discovered amentep's preference for steak were to torture and terrorize the cow immediate before butchering as you enjoys the taste o' lingering fear and pain in your meat, perhaps then we might express some kinda concern over amentep's steak preference. similarly, if amentep had his teeth replaced with canine/shark/whatever implants and his preference for steak consumption were to rip gobbets o' bloody flesh from the living beast with his own mouth, we might also pause to consider the implications. however as one assumes we is speaking solely o' the rare-to-well-done spectrum, am in agreement the question is ridiculous. on the other hand HA! Good Fun!
  8. uhm. conan the barbarian (1982) were only campy in select moments and also 'cause it took itself too serious. as such, much o' the camp o' the first movie were kinda ironic... but not dramatic irony as that is something complete different. never saw conan the barbarian (2011), so am unable to comment. am s'posing you could be referencing the comics as they were also entitled conan the barbarian, no? there were numerous other post howard reinventions o' conan and more than a few o' those were indeed embracing camp. the robert e. howard conan stories didn't go in much for camp, but none were actual called conan the barbarian. dunno. is tyranny accidental and isolated campy as were 1982 conan? ... on the other hand, conan the destroyer fully embraced camp. am admitting we never much enjoyed the conan sequel. regardless, am a bit confused by the observation. HA! Good Fun!
  9. albert is a funny guy well... HA! Good Fun!
  10. finally saw kingsmen. weird. somewhere in the mess were a fun (if familiar) concept. american version with vin diesel has the super spy who is effective 'cause he is anti-establishment. english spin has its eliza doolittle predictable conform to the organization, going so far as to don the trappings o' a "gentlemen." contrast. *shrug* still coulda worked, but samuel l. jackson's lispy villain were a disappointment, and in spite o' a fantastic cast, too many folks phoned in their performances, or existed only to let us see how much kewler were the protagonist than everybody else. 'course the most improbable moment in the movie were the following no way does hary hart quote hemingway. HA! Good Fun!
  11. hmmm. we always saw amentep as kinda the harry tuttle of moderators. is impossible for us to genuine congratulate those who join the ranks of moderation so instead we will simple hope for the best and pray amentep does not meet the same end as mr. tuttle. HA! Good Fun!
  12. nyc if you didn't know it were real, you wouldn't believe it could be real. every rpg city dreams o' being new york on a good day... or a bad day. HA! Good Fun! ps am not a ny lover as is many, but it is unique. is as much martin scorsese as it is terry gilliam. london has a similar mad-game-designer feel to it, and the english city gots even more history, but no city is as diverse and improbable as is ny... at least in our experience. dunno, but it seems as if every great sci-fi or fantasy game city is trying to be what ny already is.
  13. HA! Good Fun!
  14. constitutional/first amendment law. as for gd, am thinking he overstates the anti-gun pov o' the government. sure, politicians like to spout off after every mass shooting, but there is many parts o' the country where a pickup truck w/o a gun rack is gonna look peculiar to the locals. grow up in rural _______ usa w/o firearms exposure is gonna be the curiosity. heck, where we grew up, first day o' deer season were a functional school holiday. Gromnir's gun position falls w/i the weirdo category 'cause am perfectly okie dokie with gun ownership, but we is much opposed to handguns. we own multiple hunting rifles and shotguns, though we ain't gone hunting in years. given the number o' firearms we own, the absence o' any handguns is no doubt gonna seem odd... we must be hiding something, eh? in spite o' public hand wringing by liberals regarding mass shootings, the number o' homicides resulting from bolt-action hunting rifles every years is negligible, and ain't much more significant for shotguns or even semi-auto rifles. semi-auto ar-15 looks sinister, but is not a serious contributor to homicides stats. in fact, blunt-force weapons and human fists is responsible for more deaths than traditional hunting firearms or semi-auto rifles. assault weapons is already illegal, so that boogieman is a non factor in criminalization o' firearms discussions. is handguns. handguns is the overwhelming weapon o' choice for USA homicides, particular firearm homicides. even so, both liberals and conservatives tend to look at us as some kinda hypocrite or lunatic when we voice our firearm concerns. yeah, am perfect aware the second amendment protects handgun ownership and we would defend the legal right for an American to own a handgun. 'course is nothing which prevents something from being legal and stoopid. handgun ownership is, in our opinion, stoopid. is our handgun position which actual makes us a weirdo. the fbi would never get anything done if they were actual keeping tabs on all americans who own firearms... regardless o' the tinfoil hat theories to the contrary. HA! Good Fun!
  15. No firearms? No you are fine. If you were a gun owner, THEN you would be considered an enemy of the state. no handgun. different. HA! Good Fun!
  16. am embarrassed to be admitting how virtual all our pr0n searches is work related. as an over-educated and single adult male who don't drink alcohol, or own a handgun, and who searches pr0n primarily at work, we no doubt we fit some kinda fbi profile for weirdo/fringe behavior. HA! Good Fun!
  17. I just don't get how these people email like it is private. Nothing you do online is private. not even pr0n searches? oh p00p. HA! Good Fun!
  18. allyourbeerarebelongtous.com? or dontblamemeivotedbeer.com HA! Good Fun!
  19. doesn't need be a matter of taking a side, does it? am suspecting a big budget and more serious deadpool sequel, in the right hands, could be a great flick. converse, is also making sense to wanna keep doing what already worked in the first movie. got two guys who had different ideas for the sequel. am personal relieved there weren't a compromise. action sequels tend to fail for Gromnir. makers o' such movies seem to believe sequels to action movies need have more action, explosions and more dire consequences for the protagonist. strikes us as a fundamental flawed pov. try and create same movie but with More o' everything is doomed. for a sequel to be keeping deadpool's limited scope and tongue-in-cheek humor is a perfect viable approach, but if is functional the same movie but with more fight scenes, more gunpowder and villain who gots slight bigger plans, then am gonna predict, at best, mediocrity. even so, we need not take sides. not got a problem with either the director or the actor. sure, w/o compromise the studio needed to make a decision, but this don't seem like the kinda choice where one guy needs be wrong. miller vision could work. reynolds got a good argument for wanting to keep deadpool 2 smallish. as long as sequel doesn't make typical sequel mistakes, Gromnir could be satisfied with either approach. HA! Good Fun!
  20. still got our hatred o' mmos in general, and the mmo ilk who make mmos such a comical bad experience. we keep trying random mmos which claim to be different/better, but have not been caught unawares by a shinning example o' the genre. swtor is a game we can largely enjoy solo, so in spite o' our general loathing o' such fare, we continue. the swtor pvp has balance issues as does most mmos not dedicated solely to pvp. some o' the fps is ok, but repetition kills all love for those. swtor pug operations ain't worth our time and we will not join a guild again. *shrug* swtor is not a great pc rpg, but is so few pc rpgs always available and being updated... regardless o' the fact it is an mmo. as soon as a new poe or torment gets released, we drop swtor for months as earlier noted. swtor gets considerable gameplay hours, but only when nothing else is available to us. maybe not contempt, but hardly a ringing endorsement. even so, we has, in spirit o' fairplay, experimented with any number o' mmos. if there is a better mousetrap out there, we ain't seen it. swtor is a typical mmo, for better and for worse... but it does also have limited value as a pc rpg. HA! Good Fun!
  21. You can buy an Eyepatch off a Republic Adaptive Gear Vendor(20-30 comms). RD-07 Viper iirc. So...good thing on throwing money around :D . was looking for an eyepatch for snake plisskeen and not some kinda retro-cybernetic eyepiece. http://torf.mmo-fashion.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/RD-07A-Viper-Headgear.jpg ick as for swtor problems, o' which there is many, am not seeing it as any more broken than every other mmo we has tried, and swtor does have more narrative development than any other mmo we can think o'. yeah, by focusing efforts and content on story, the biowarians has placed less development into grindy and group content. like it or not, developers must needs be aware o' the reality that grindy aspects will be what occupies a majority of the end-game player's efforts. gotta do better with end-game. even so, 'cause swtor has more story focus, it is an mmo we is more likely to revisit after a three or six month hiatus. no other mmo gets us returning after we has stopped. 'course we ain't a big mmo fan to begin with, so there is that too. HA! Good Fun!
  22. oxymoron:drinkresponsibly.com just a suggestion. hagoodfun.com
  23. 33% lemon is not good, particular considering the diminished resale value o' any rental. *shrug* calax doesn't see what should be an obvious problem and is no way Gromnir will be able to explain how he were desperate and frantic only a page or two removed in this thread. perhaps this is a teachable moment/opportunity? dunno. not our profession. not our problem. HA! Good Fun!
  24. always tickles us to be hearing the cowboy ballad, streets of laredo, as reimagined by samuel barber. willie nelson version HA! Good Fun!
  25. I thought he was going to get money from the insuarance company for is old car? Anyway, I think it's better to get a cheaper alternative, and then start saving for a newer car if that is something you really want. I'm pretty certain that if you jump back a few years on the cars age you can still get a decent Japanese car. Is there anything that prohibits you from getting an older car Calax? Or do you 'have' to buy it from work? It's a combonation of things. Getting the Mazda from work puts me in a car I consider fun and good for a steal relative to everything I have seen from other dealership lots for the same model. shoulda stopped where we ended quote, 'cause the rest is rationalizing. is no reason you need be stuck with credit card rates on even a signature loan if you do a little legwork, but you like the mazda and purchase through work likely makes the situation easier... even though you o' all people should know to avoid buying a rental vehicle. regardless, is not an investment. money you put into this car purchase is solely red ink numbers, so makes more sense to keep those numbers small given how you were frantic only a few posts ago 'cause you thought the insurance payoff for your totaled car weren't gonna cover the 'mount owed on it. your recent concern seemed genuine, yet you seem to be putting yourself in a similar precarious financial situation. you got an opportunity to improve your situation rather than repeating a mistake. as to hurl observation, a large % o' folks will not consider buying a rental, and with good reason. prices for rental is typical lower 'cause o' their inherent leprosy. HA! Good Fun!
