am kinda a guaranteed designated driver as we don't drink, we always bring or prepare food which is appreciated and we got loads o' funny anecdotes from a kinda unusual range o' experiences, so yeah, am a hit at parties. and has nothing to do with peasants v. elite. urban poor and educated poor are not part o' the 30%, which is why is stable 30%. is not a class division. other portion o' trump consistent voters is sooper wealthy, so again, is not a class break. with wacky polarization increasing gripping US political climate this last decade, no doubt some will find reassurance/amusement/horror that those at the extremes o' the spectrum is increasing entrenched and obtuse, regardless o' ethnicity or euro class definitions. HA! Good Fun!

am agreeing the sharp stuff is creepy. pathos inducing and creepy. and we explained why we asked. the stuff you present as validation and explanation is the exact same material we used as condemnation and criticism. fact the 30% dismiss the lies and failures 'cause o' the deep state conspiracies and fake news claims should be concerning. was kinda clear on that rather sharp point. in our posts, a willingness to accept behaviour which violates rule of law because he is the 30%'s guy should be disheartening, rather than used as validation. again, the ability o' sharpone and the 30% to invert a scathing criticism should be shocking. HA! Good Fun!

there is much truth in this. easy access to information is fantastic and am having a hard time genuine recalling what a chore it were finding facts and relevant opinions during even our university years. the thing is, the old timey process actual requires thinking. if you gotta research info and then decide for self which sources has most relevant info... and then generate your own conclusions based on info uncovered, you are gonna learn not only 'bout the subject matter in question, but you are gonna learn to learn. internet sources such as wiki not only provide facts, but conclusions. the relevant sources is weighed and measured and probed by somebody else. we mentioned yesterday how sharp complained to us when we mocked him for linking unread sources... saw nothing wrong with link an article based on title and frequency it were quoted. the entire process o' research and learning has been streamlined, which is convenient beyond measure. unfortunate, is tough to teach folks how to learn if there is no reason to do so. when analysis is just another app, how does one learn? HA! Good Fun! ps 'course Gromnir is too curmudgeon to even fit w/i context o' shady's linked baby boomer v millennial twitter war. have never tweeted... evar. don't have a social media footprint and we don't even own a smartphone... got one o' those streamlined "rugged" kyocera flip phones. am not as extreme as gd who is likely making his own candles and probable converted his truck to run on waste kitchen oil instead o' petrol, but am kinda anachronistic even so.

have made same argument dozens o' times... but as a criticism. the 30% doesn't care that trump lies 'cause all politicians lie and the deep state and fake news? yeah, we said that. the 30% don't care if trump is mendacious and corrupt and constant fails to achieve promised goals 'cause at least he is fighting for them? yeah, you are repeating Gromnir back to Gromnir. bizarro world o' 2019 is so polarized our criticisms and condemnations is the 30% rallying cry. is a scenario only harlan ellison coulda' cooked up... but is real warning: smidge sweary HA! Good Fun!

is actual some ambiguity on this issue which would benefit from mod clarification. after all, unmasking is calling out a lie, yes? is nothing 'gainst board rules which precludes identifying and criticizing a lie, no? derek insists he never said A. paul finds 5 posts where derek said A and confronts derek with the inconsistency. regardless o' the nature o' A, derek's willingness to lie and defend a lie makes his posts and opinions, as a whole, less trustworthy. to keep relevant, will once again observe how is so difficult to believe trump regarding the mexican deal for which he is taking credit. trump claims he forged a deal with mexico and gained concessions which will lead to decreased border crossings. however, the key aspects o' the announced deal were already in place in december o' 2018, so what did tariff threats really accomplish? trump insists there is more to the deal and media is lying, but trump ain't sharing the more stuff. regardless, given trump's history o' deceit, why would you believe him this time? lack o' trustworthiness is fundamental. is impossible to insulate. is not as if we believe trump 'bout infrastructure, but not 'bout wall building. dishonesty touches every topic which trump involves self. for folks who believe trump, the question is why do you believe him given his pathological lying? how do you insulate inarguable lies regarding cancer causing windmills and payments to pornstars from his claims 'bout immigration and china negotiations? show a speaker is a habitual liar is gonna be relevant to every topic, yes? am agreeing is a difficult issue. accusation o' lies is sometimes difficult to defend and accusation rare accompanies any evidence save the accuser's animosity. am s'posing is a tough call for mods. oh well, will attempt to figure out the line 'tween too sharp and too dull...take flavor flav advice to heart: "I wear my Viking helmet because the horns define how sharp my brains are. If you try to rub me the wrong way, I will stick you with both of my horns." HA! Good Fun!

if you do not recollect poe development, am gonna remind you o' the old bg & ie game purists who clashed with folks more familiar with obsidians recent games. am thinking josh commented in his post mortem 'bout his recollection o' fan wanting bg2 d&d sorcerers in the poe games, yes? fo:nv development had the fo1& fo2 fans wanting to draw blood o' fo3 fans. etc. is hardly unique. might be the norm. old skool v new. hard core v. casual. cake v. pie. whatever. HA! Good Fun!

for those still wondering why josh no longer contributes on the boards am recalling how josh discovered deadfire might attribute were not working as intended only immediate before release in spite o' fact the quirky implementation o' might were a frequent topic o' discussion on these boards. have personal criticized developer overreliance on board feedback given fact we never provide meaningful consensus on any debated issue. have observed how even if we managed consensus it would be opinion o' only the most hardcore soopernerds as 'posed to the average game purchaser. have sympathized with developer board frustrations. nevertheless, we do see value in the boards. is too bad josh, as part o' his post mortem, did not recognize how his overreliance on a new toy (game telemetry) perhaps contributed to a few o' the game problems. HA! Good Fun!

still missing the real point, but clear we need be more blunt. what are the reasonable options? a sharp doppel. somebody who knew the sharp situation doppel. any others? as #s observes, the name is a translation o' sharpone, so given timing and polish and trumphumping, would it not be requiring a bit o' obtuseness to ignore obvious in favor o' a credulity straining coincidence? has nothing to do with knowing sharp and not need be sharp for the issue to remain. on point: trump has yet to close a meaningful deal in ~2.5 years as president. has gotten a couple court wins and used executive orders, but am thinking most would concede unilateral action ain't requiring any kinda savy dealmaking. might quibble over whether trump deal making has been an abject failure, but don't seem plausible to claim success. HA! Good Fun!

keep in mind you may hire an extra party member (or two) for the fight in question. based on feedback observed over the past +year, almost nobody who is having difficulty with port maje acquires a hireling. keep it simple and inch towards daylight. that said, deadfire is potential a long game. two hours of gameplay will be relative inconsequential long term. if you have the coin, you may retrain characters at inns or via shopkeeper ui. don't need to restart from start. is no reason to hang onto a difficult build unless you want to. HA! Good Fun!

so, to avoid "conspiritorationally," you pretended to be oblivious and/or obtuse for multiple posts? your goal appears more "obfuscative" than our efforts, but if this is your first step towards your EGOT, then we will cheer you forward. very convincing dupe. gorth response is exact why there were no point in asking translation: sharpone bout use o' sharp and is reason why it were pointless to ask mods to intervene. nevertheless, let's use occam's razor for the moment. temporal proximate to sharp's humiliating emo farewell, a new polish poster, with same politics and same humor and same name (translated) begins posting... admitted absent the overt misogynistic, racist and or jew-hating nonsense which presumable resulted in his double-secret probation. 2.0 has many o' the same posting ticks as in the past. (we once caught sharp posting links to articles he had not read. his defense were that were perfect reasonable 'cause o' reading title and 'cause o' frequency the article were quoted. didn't see anything wrong with linking unread articles.) rather than suffer advanced moderation protocols (or whatever,) sharp slunk away but on the way out, the community kicked him in the arse and had a laugh or two at his expense. was not exactly a sound of music exit, eh? shortly thereafter, translation:sharpone shows up on the board. ok, at this point am gonna indulge in assumption... gonna take as a given that unlike smjjames, sharp were as aware as #s and gorth that there were little way for moderators to divine his identity if he should decide to come back under a new(ish) nom de guerre. am admitted at a loss as to what would motivate a non-sharp doppler to assume familiar name to troll the boards as #s describes. sharp motivations and opportunity is less murky. so, who would be the most plausible poster using the new translation:sharpone account: old sharp, or the field? this got way more attention than it deserves. back on-topic For Trump, Threats Become Part of Diplomatic Playbook the wsj is a bit more ambivalent 'bout trump's free use o' tariffs than other sources, but... "The president’s pairing of a threat with its subsequent withdrawal allows him to regularly declare wins, even if he hasn’t obtained any substantial concessions. "“No matter what, he’s going to declare victory,” Kevin Madden, a Republican strategist who advised Utah GOP Sen. Mitt Romney’s 2008 presidential campaign, said of the president. “He finds a way to even when it’s become clear that he’s run out of options and his threat is not having the intended effect.”" sound familiar? and "The president has suggested that he also sees inconsistent messages as a useful negotiating tactic. He said on Twitter recently that Iran faced its “official end” if it threatened the U.S. and sent conflicting signals as he ordered additional military power to the Middle East while declaring he would be open to talking to Iran’s leaders. "“At least Iran doesn’t know what to think, which at this point may very well be a good thing!” he tweeted last month. "Iran’s foreign minister Javad Zarif responded with his own Twitter taunt. Referring to U.S. National Security Adviser John Bolton, he wrote: “With the #B_Team doing one thing & @realDonaldTrump saying another thing, it is apparently the U.S. that ‘doesn’t know what to think.’”" am in the unfamiliar situation o' finding our self in agreement with iran? 'course am not believing the president does ruminate to any degree. is all impulse and gut. HA! Good Fun!

am clear not communicating this. do a board search for "max shreck." "sharp" references in the present context may make more sense. HA! Good Fun!

baron harkonnen quote were referencing the channeling o' power and fear, not necessarily trump and the baron is brothers from different mothers. we did distinguish trump as self defeating mercurial, no? regardless, point were to get a "sharp" into the response. HA! Good Fun!
-
funny. we posited trump's mercurial and punitive use o' tariffs would hurt trade deals. you asked for evidence o' such. we have provided. heck, your own linked source provide support for Gromnir's argument, which you would have realized if you bothered to actual read your sources. not a single trade deal completed by trump yet... in more than two years? should also be pretty compelling evidence that the art o' the deal guy is having difficulty brokering deals. and seeing as folks (again, your own links) keep complaining 'bout trump mercurial use o' tariffs, so... links were support for the initial proposition which were, admitted, axiomatic. woulda' illustrated further, but again, axiomatic. converse, sharp's only unique argument were how abandoning mexican tariffs would alleviate concerns o' trading partners, an argument for which he has provided no support whatsoever. am not sure you got a handle on this stuff. nevertheless, while is unlikely trump bothered to read dune, he is channeling his inner baron harkonnen. “one must always keep the tools of statecraft sharp and ready. power and fear – sharp and ready.” unfortunate for trump, the baron were a meticulous planner and trump is... not. HA! Good Fun!

and even that deal hasn't received Congressional approval yet as the mexico tariff threats put the process on hold in spite of a end-o'-june wh deadline. will be interesting to see what happens in the next couple weeks regarding nafta replacement. trump's tariff threats have angered his own party and in spite o' the hostile polarization characteristic o' this Congress, he managed to forge a seeming rare moment o' bipartisan agreement. so, congrats to trump on finally bringing 'bout consensus in the legislature? is this the vaunted art o' the deal brand o' stable genius trump claimed to possess? HA! Good Fun! ps Mexico Agreed to Take Border Actions Months Before Trump Announced Tariff Deal The centerpiece of Mr. Trump’s deal was an expansion of a program to allow asylum-seekers to remain in Mexico while their legal cases proceed. But that arrangement was first reached in December in a pair of painstakingly negotiated diplomatic notes that the two countries exchanged. Ms. Nielsen announced the Migrant Protection Protocols during a hearing of the House Judiciary Committee five days before Christmas. And over the past week, negotiators failed to persuade Mexico to accept a “safe third country” treaty that would have given the United States the legal ability to reject asylum seekers if they had not sought refuge in Mexico first. Mr. Trump hailed the agreement anyway on Saturday, writing on Twitter: “Everyone very excited about the new deal with Mexico!” He thanked the president of Mexico for “working so long and hard” on a plan to reduce the surge of migration into the United States. It was unclear whether Mr. Trump believed that the agreement truly represented new and broader concessions, or whether the president understood the limits of the deal but accepted it as a face-saving way to escape from the political and economic consequences of imposing tariffs on Mexico, which he began threatening less than two weeks ago.

will also note that heldred comparing poe priest to deadfire and finding deadfire lacking is hardly convincing. the obsidians were clear recognizing, admitted a bit late, just how powerful and flexible were their poe priests. priests were not only good at everything, they were the best at multiple things. broken. as you note, priests are in a good place from a balance standpoint, which is a relief considering how busted they were in poe. make druids better pure healers? fine. reduce the powha o' holy radiance and make interdiction a low-level spell? the right move...'course we miss such on a certain level, but am recalling just how powerful painful interdiction could be. nevertheless, beyond multiclassing and deity choice, there is current little meaningful variation possible with priests. deadfire priests don't need power up. need power spread. HA! Good Fun!

true enough. the articles did provide multiple examples. need hand holding? fine. how 'bout additional sources? 'course your own linked article notes french resistance, and observes, "The EU currently has a tense trade relationship with Washington, with Donald Trump threatening to levy tariffs on car imports and other European products." do you even bother to read stuff you link? http://fortune.com/2019/05/07/us-eu-trade-talks-agriculture/ "Then there are the tariffs that are still in place between the two sides—the U.S. metals tariffs and the counter-tariffs that followed—plus the tariffs that Trump keeps threatening to levy on European cars—and the tariffs the EU is threatening to introduce in response." https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-05-30/u-s-eu-trade-talks-stumble-threatening-new-trade-war-front "European officials have blamed a Trump administration that has had little time for dealing with a bureaucracy in Brussels already held in low regard by many in the U.S. president’s orbit. Distracting Trump has been a breakdown in talks with China and a need for a quick deal with Japan to assuage American agricultural interests. "“I don’t think the U.S. is ready to start on the tariff negotiations,” Cecilia Malmstrom, the EU’s trade commissioner, told reporters in Paris earlier this month after meeting with U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer." and "In talks in Washington and Paris this month the two sides again made little progress. As if to highlight the distance between the two sides, U.S. officials during the Washington meetings at one point brought out a binder containing a 150-page text negotiated with China and showed it off, according to people familiar with the events. "That leaves the most likely paths either for more muddling through or for a sharp escalation. ":EU officials have made clear any auto tariffs would be met with retaliation, as were steel and aluminum duties introduced on similar national security grounds last year. The EU said in January that it would hit 20 billion euros of U.S. products should Trump impose auto tariffs."" your willingness to misread and misrepresent has not changed since your miraculous resurrection. so, no enmity? also am noticing how you did not respond to your wacky timeliness criticism. the complete unreasonable and illogical assumption that trump ending tariff threat would erase concerns presented in articles from BEFORE he imposed such tariffs is kinda amusing, no? am not thinking you yet grasp the complete wackiness o' such a suggestion. concerns from europeans and asia and central and south america is, mongst many issues, the unreliability o' wh position and their willingness to throw tariff threats into any conflict regardless o' pre existing trade deals. mexico, occurring AFTER a couple linked articles were published thus constitutes evidence illustrating such concerns is legit. nevertheless, you read complete bass ackwards. HA! Good Fun! ps the emphasis on "sharp" 'bove in the quoted material were added by Gromnir. will continue to add a sharp angle when appropriate. and as to your ps, we did get a momentary chuckle regarding the irony, though likely unintended.

... had a moment. why would a port worker be particularly sweary? dock worker or longshoreman here in the states. HA! Good Fun!

ok. so? regardless, thanks to crowdfunding we get to see how the creative folks deal with the business side o' creation. free o' the suits, the creative folks has a kinda spotty record handling the money issues. perception o' blame is as much an issue with consumers as the creative folks. belief that suits is being the folks forcing compromises which ruin games is not a notion held sole by the folks who came up with crowdfunding. one o' the main reasons we first started posting as Gromnir back on the old interplay boards is 'cause we saw, after totsc, a kinda tribalism were developing which made criticism o' the developers increasing improbable. the developers were the good guys and criticism o' the heroes who made bg, particular n00b criticism, were receiving an almost instantaneous antibody response from the quick growing community. blame the publisher or circumstances, but blame developers, the makers o' BG, would be tantamount to an attack on the body itself. repel the virus. the unwelcoming environment offended us and so we kinda directed our clear antagonistic style at those who were reflexive defenders o' the faith. color us surprised when the biowarians appeared to find our antics amusing and even beneficial. reason we bring up is 'cause many crpg developer message boards is having the kinda tribalism which annoyed us so much in late nineties and early 2000s. developers, on many boards, get a kinda free pass. blame on publisher. blame on circumstance. *shrug* the business side o' making games is difficult. while it may be easier to blame publishers and suits for bad choices, those choices is rare as simple or easy or clear as fans believe. as such, crowdfunding realities should be a wakeup call for creative folks and fans alike. HA! Good Fun!

why don't you read the stuff you respond to? you asked us to "name one." said there were no evidence o' any enmity. so we give multiple examples. then you suggest the timing o' the articles makes 'em irrelevant as the tariffs 'gainst mexico has been, for now, dropped... even though obvious the articles were talking 'bout current tensions resulting from possible tariffs. so trump actual goes so far as to threaten monthly tariffs 'gainst mexico and you somehow see concerns as being lessened? article talks 'bout euro and south american and asian fears regarding trump and his seeming unplanned tariffs schemes and how such is undermining confidence in trade agreements. france and belgium even went so far as to oppose negotiations for an eu trade deal with the us. all sharp takes from the article is the breitbart echo box silliness that media is overreacting to marcon tantrum regarding trump exit from paris agreement. how sharp must the point for it to penetrate? HA! Good Fun!
-
you clear didn't read the articles. end tariffs didn't change the reason why prospective and threatened tariffs (is why articles from early is valid to present discussion... duh) hurt potential deals regardless o' whether a few o' the threats is rescinded. "The European Union gave final approval Monday for a formal mandate to carry out trade negotiations with the United States, but it was not without controversy. France and Belgium both opposed the move, an unusual step given such mandates are traditionally approved unanimously. "President Emmanuel Macron of France said he objected to negotiations because the Trump administration withdrew from the Paris climate agreement in 2017, but relations have been strained for other reasons. Last week, the Trump administration threatened the European Union with tariffs in a fight over plane subsidies, and Mr. Trump tweeted that the bloc was “a brutal trading partner with the United States, which will change.”" yeah, is from april, so if the reason for disquiet from euros is instability and trump threatening o' tariffs, then recent spats with china and mexico make such fears diminish or increase? sheesh. and your assurances is 'bout as convincing as were sharp's swan song. HA! Good Fun!

point is it ain't an other hand situation. forever, has always been publishers who were making ultimate money decisions, so all choices, when looked at in retrospect, were responsibility o' publishers. as such, point out all the publisher fails ignores our observation. crowdfunding has been our firstest opportunity to see how the creative folks handle the money calls. you seen the sea change daven were noting were the hoped for result o' crowdfunding? the money calls is often more difficult when you is personal involved, rather than easier. do what is required to make the best game possible sounds simple, but it is naive. feargus, Gromnir has criticized ad nauseum, isn't some faceless suit with a princeton or stanford mba making decisions based on quarterly report and shareholder impact. when feargus makes a choice, he is thinking 'bout all those folks he sees in the obsidian building, people who are depending on obsidian so they may continue paying their mortgages and maintain their health insurance coverage. more than a few folks at obsidian were no doubt hired with some feargus input. obsidian is not just a building or a game development company. feargus money choices affect real people, people he knows on a personal level. -do what is required to make the best game possible -do what is necessary to keep obsidian doors open and the power on so the people who make up obsidian may continue making games. all too often the calculus is gonna be different for the two aforementioned goals. crowdfunding is a nice dose o' reality for the creative types, but am wondering how many has learned necessary lessons. get rid o' the suits don't get rid o' hard choices. HA! Good Fun!
